[Chancellor Dewa Lanadi]

Lady Dewa Lanadi, the Minister of Commerce, has called for a meeting of the cabinet to discuss a proposal for legislature.

"Chancellor, ministers,

The Union has received greatly increased tax funding from it's members for some time now. Furthermore, the Union has not seen new members join for some time now, which has strengthened the reserves needed to provide the Offer of Aid. I think it is time to amend certain laws to allow new member to more easily catch up with the economic developments of the Union.

To do so, I want to propose the following amendments to the senate for their approval:"

Increased Offer of Aid Amendment

The Offer of Aid Law shall be amended as follows:

• The period of the offer of aid funding will be extended from 10 to 12 .
• Article 1. will be amended to: "1. They shall be exempt from all taxes for this period, excluding exceptional taxes levied for the defense of the Union."
• Article 2. will be replaced with: "2. They shall be paid a lump sum of 1500 per turn during this period"

The Turn 17 Subsidies Law shall be amended as follows:

• Article 3. will be added which reads as follows:
  Hyperspace Node Subsidy
  A subsidy of 1.0 / (rounded down) is available under the following conditions:
  1. The is bought from a union member, and this union member fabricated the
  2. The is bought by a union member with a taxable income less then or equal to 1000

"As I promised the chancellor, I bring this before you so we can have a short discussion about the proposal. If you agree that this is long overdue, I urge the chancellor to open a vote on this matter at his earliest convenience."

((OOC: We haven't updated the Union income for some time now, and looking at FWURG player growth and the current economic state, I am reasonably confident that we can raise these numbers even with the current budget. Mainly because the Union can magically save for a later moment...))

"I see merit in this amendment. Good work, Minister Dewa."

He looked at the other ministers.

"Any objections?"

"We of the Teprogrenaian Consensus believe this to be a good proposal."

[Senator Ardios Eldrilith]

"Reasonable and simple. I like it."

[Lord-Senator Kachiso Doshima]

"I believe that is all the conformation we need."

The Chancellor said.

"Minister Dewa, you may open a vote about this proposal in the Senate."
