"After a detailed and engaging discussion by the Veolian Commonwealth, the time has come to put matters to a vote.

Cooperation is at the heart of the Union and this vote is to encourage it for everyone! All Union members are asked to vote for one of the following options, and as a special consideration to earlier comments, we have focused the vote around that which has been discussed, and we have included options for all possible combinations of choices, including a choice not to use any of the variations.

Option A:

The COVIM Fund will be created to encourage cooperation, which shall be filled by a contribution of 500 (:tax) by all Union members, to be fully paid on or before (:turn) 235. This will give a working fund of 10.000 (:tax)

Half of this fund will be used to encourage the cooperation of the Djana Military Research Centre, and as such, 5.000 (:tax) will be divided among the founding members that are still members of the Union, the Teprogrenaian Consensus and the Veolian Commonwealth, who will each be granted 2500 (:tax) in (:turn) 236, on the condition that they will allow other Union members to join their cooperative effort with conditions no worse than there were for existing members.

The other half of the fund - or the whole fund should the cooperation not meet the above conditions by (:turn) 235 - will be used to encourage a future cooperation, to be granted to a different cooperation project at the Chancellors leisure.

To celebrate the formation of this fund, a 100 meter tall obelisk will be erected in a central location on Unity listing the names of the Senators and government officials involved in this great project, under the guidance of the Chancellor.

Option B:

The COVIM Fund will be created to encourage cooperation, which shall be filled by a contribution of 500 (:tax) by all Union members, to be fully paid on or before (:turn) 235. Additionally, Deominius will contribute 1 (:tax) above and beyond these requirements. This will give a working fund of 10.001 (:tax)

Half of this fund will be used to encourage the cooperation of the Vaspa Ahlstorm Conglomerate joint venture, and as such, 5.001 (:tax) will be divided among the founding members that are still members of the Union, the Veolian Commonwealth, the Hiocan Society and the Astai Republic, who will each be granted 1667 (:tax) in (:turn) 236, on the condition that they will allow other Union members to join their cooperative effort with conditions no worse than there were for existing members.

Option C:

An funds which might remain - should one or both of the cooperations not meet the above conditions by (:turn) 235 - will be used to encourage a future cooperation, to be granted to a different cooperation project at the Chancellors leisure.

To celebrate the formation of this fund, a 100 meter tall obelisk will be erected in a central location on Unity listing the names of the Senators and government officials involved in this great project, under the guidance of the Chancellor.

Option D:

The COVIM Fund will be created to encourage cooperation, which shall be filled by a contribution of 500 (:tax) by all Union members, to be fully paid on or before (:turn) 235. This will give a working fund of 10.000 (:tax)

These funds will be used to encourage a future cooperation, to be granted to a different cooperation project at the Chancellors leisure.

To celebrate the formation of this fund, a 100 meter tall obelisk will be erected in a central location on Unity listing the names of the Senators and government officials involved in this great project, under the guidance of the Chancellor.

"Chancellor could you please explain how five times 1667 (:tax) adds up to half of 10 000 (:tax) in option B.

Since through my calculations it adds up to 8335 (:tax).

You are promising us that the other half of the fund will be used for future projects.

Furthermore Chancellor please explain to us why you are trying to bribe the Veolian Commonwealth with two shares for VAC in option B and C.

Finally I would like to add that again this vote assumes that the members of the Union are paying this amount of (:tax) instead of getting an option to vote on it and they also have no choice on another ridiculous statue.

This poor preparation and lack of options is worth a motion of sadness!"

"I think that the Chancellor should thoroughly review the performance of the bureaucrats that detailed the options. I do not think that we should hold these minor bureaucratic errors against the Chancellor when it is clearly not his fault. Furthermore, the values the chancellor proposed -- the 1667 (:tax) -- is correct for the three members of the VAC.

The Teprogrenaian Consensus is not yet a member of the VAC, though of course they are very welcome to join."

"The Veolian Commonwealth votes in favour of option C."

After clearly voicing the opinion of the commonwealth Lanadi sat down to quickly type a private message sent to senator Ardios Eldrilith: Vote C. Do this and we will transfer 1000 (:tax) to the Praetorian Empire if Option C is the final outcome and the Veolian Commonwealth receives the promised 4167 (:tax). ~Sen. Dewa

"Collaboration should be stimulated, but paying back for existing corporations who have made already quite some money goes too far. The principality of Suma votes D."

"Senator Arzag", the veolian senator starts, "I can understand that you do not want to support corporate collaboration. I disagree with you on that matter, because the VAC has made very little money and especially because the founding members, have generously subsidized the smaller members such as the Hiocan Society with over 4000 (:tax) even while these members are diametrically opposed to the culture and politics of the founding members. But, I can understand the position.

Unfortunately, your vote also reflects that you are against the Djana Military Research Centre's format of cooperation. I want to make clear that the Djana Military Research Centre is not a corporation, and is in fact a non-profit collaboration between multiple Union members. As the Principality of Suma has always been a strong proponent of collaboration your stance surprises and saddens me greatly."

"Chancellor, you claim to include the voting option not to use any of the variations. Yet we of the Teprogrenaian Consensus don't see that option in the actual list present.

Option D still revolves around the creation of a ridiculous obelisk and the creation of the fund and forcing Union members to pay extra taxes, which are all also present in option A, B and C.

Have you forgotten to list option E?"

"The Astai Republic joins senator Danar Tassar in the remark that there is no option E that only promises to a 100 meter tall obelisk to commemorate the vote, under the guidance of the Chancellor of course.

That being, for this vote the Astai Republic does not want to choose a status quo option. We are in favor of furthering cooperation in the union through well established and working projects and we vote for Option C"

"This is outrageous!" The Skulddarian Senator exclaims, "To raise taxes without any reason! The Contingency budgets of the ministries are for these kinds of things. Why are we even bothering to vote if Odakim clearly uses his Chancellorship only for personal glorification and wasting of taxes on art projects.

I even refuse to call this faux of a democracy a vote!"
