My actual proposal was to make the characteristic more generic, and not so extremely locked down to one focused point. Nearly all the characteristics are as generic as possible, and I would like to continue doing so. This will also prevent a overdosis of characteristics all focused on '1 skill point in mechanics; 1 skill point in pilot; 1 attribute in strenght; 1 force power; 1 ataru lightsaber style' etc. Future players then do not have to create again a new characteristic to fit their species, as they already can choose from our generic characteristics, and they can talk their own fluff around.

It is easier to talk a 'telepathic' fluff around 'higher brain functions' than to the other way around.

bottom line: I do not look to make a more intelligent species for myself, I look to make a more generic characteristic for future players. (I can imagine Stuiter might be interested in this characteristic if it is more generic.)

I can see your point of a more generic ability - I think Telepathic will do, but I'm open to a generalized alternative. Still, I don't think we're exactly there yet with higher brain functions.

I'm not exactly sure what alternative would be better, but I'm open to suggestions if anyone has them? Alternatively we can leave Telepathic as is and see if any future idea's player may have will help us find a more generalized fit?
