Alright, so I've been working on Shaedys, Astai and Astai Republic and now I want them approved. I'm not quite happy with them yet, but I don't think I'll ever be and I'm leaving for about 5 days so now is a good a time as any. So I'm applying to become a protectorate.
Also, I picked sector 11-7 as the home system for my faction, it should be open.
I may still want to change the racial characteristics of the Astai if Brend finishes making the military ones, but I don't think this is a problem.

Astai species: approved.
Shaedys: approved.
Note that since Shaedys is human, you will probably have to take the Foreign Jedi special if you create a system.
Astai Republic: approved.
You could make a representative character, this helps with in-character interaction with other factions. This is, of course, purely optional.
Minor nitpick: the Astai race is not linked from the faction page (that's a pity, as it contains interesting information).
I have switched you to candidate world. When you get back from holidays, as Mercury (or me) for an IC introduction of your faction, and then you can switch your world to Protectorate.
