Many people are working on their systems in the Wiki. This is wonderful!

When you feel your system is done, please post the name of the system in this thread. I will check it to make sure it is all correct, and mark it as approved.

Be sure the following is true:

  • You have spent your Gas, Stone and Biomass and no more
  • Exactly five specials are assigned
  • Your power supply is sufficient to power all zones

Techno Zaibatsu is approved!

The Unified Republic Of Darya has a few minor calculation errors which need to be corrected before it can be approved. Too much gas has been used, for one.

The Lifebringer Clans and the associated species all look fine.

I changed the pages of several entries, notably the Ring System A, Asteroid Belt A and The Clouds - the actual page name remains the same, I just moved them to a less generic wiki page to prevent collision with future systems. All links should be up to date.

Specials, power and zone assignments are all correct. I believe you have 1 more Gas-mass to spend. I calculate 42 gas-mass, 93 rock-mass and 214 bio-mass. Did I miss something?

Isi (Orbit 6.1) at this time does not have a listed climate and Tiikor (Orbit 4) only has 2 out of a possible 3. This is allowed (and may be advantageous in fact), but you can choose a climate if you wish. If you wish a climate not listed, we can see about making it. Let me know if the current set-up is correct.

Thats all the issues with the system build. Once the last Gas-mass is assigned and I know if the climates are ok, I'll approve the system!

I'll need to know where you wish to be located within sector 13 -4. This has absolutely no effect on the game whatsoever, it merely determines about where the picture of your planet will be on the map. Once I know, I'll add your entry to the map :)

I calculate you earn 630 (:tax) each turn from 210 tax set 6, with 230 (:organics) Organics, 5 (:metals) Metals, 15 (:information) Information and 5 (:rares) Rare elements left. These could be processed into 5 (:entertainment) Entertainment or 5 (:research) Research. Note that any excess resources cannot be saved between turns.

Finally, Brend requested if you could find a different image for the Heliosheath since he is already using the current one. There are lots of nebula's out there, so I'm sure you'll be able to find one. If you need help, let me know.

A few updates:
* switched Organics and Information production of my two colony worlds. (including climate)
* changed jackpot location to rare elements zone on homeworld
* changed uplift racial bonus.
* Looking for a climate that grants +information. Currently brainstorming with Gerben on this one. Best candidate is 'Tranquility: A lack of rare elements in the atmosphere changes the atmospheric conditions to a calm state. The stability of weather makes for a productive environment.'
* Changed Rha Clouds image.
* Upgraded a small moon to medium moon, removed a small moon, for a net +1 rock mass.

* My system can go in the top left of its sector.

I think that's all?

The Gas/Rock/Bio-mass is now correct. Atmosphere for Aasith is set to the new Tranquillity atmospheric type.

Your system is hereby Approved! Welcome to the Union.

I calculate you earn 630 (:tax) each turn from 210 tax set 6, with 90 (:organics) Organics, 5 (:metals) Metals, and 210 (:rares) Rare Elements left. Your planet should be up on the map in the next 10-15 minutes or so.

Remember to post your first turn report before the end of the week!

Hello,

Can the [[alitaera system]] be approved, and if possible I would like it to still count for turn 10.
My income and what I want to do with it is on the following page: [[kalidor]]

I have taken a look over your system. You appear to be over budget on the gas / rock / bio-mass spending. I calculate 44 gas used, and 106 stone (that's fine), but it also appears as if you have used too much biomass.

76+19+19 for your homeworld (Medium Planet, Type I atmosphere, Oceans, Natural Life)
7+7+7 for the orbit 4 (Small planet, Type IV, Natural Life and Large moon Type IV)
7+7+7+7+7 for orbit 5 (5 large moons with Type IV)
40 for your population of 6 billion. (2.0 billion free + 40 for 40x0.1 pop)

That's 210 bio out of 200.

I also noticed you created several new climates. That's fine, but they may need a little bit of tweaking. Climate wise, not all resources are created equal, so I try to balance that out in the climates. However, I think we can work with it so you get the climates you are looking for, though we may have to change some of the penalties around a bit.

I will open a separate thread about your climates so you can look at my counter proposal and see if that is what you want. If it is, I will add them to the list of legal climates.

Your specials and race look okay, as do your zones and power supplies.

I'm afraid getting you in on Turn 10 is going to be cutting things a bit tight. However, I will get you up and running for Turn 11 no worries and you can submit a turn report then with the others :)

about the bio:

oeps, thought it was 3 bil free people, fixed it.

about the climates:

I made the penalties thinking about what the climate would be and what would be hard to find in those climates.
I didn't think about game balancing.

about the starting in turn 10:

I wanted to start in turn 10 so Ruud and I would have the trade income a turn sooner.
But the climate problems are not on planets I currently use, so I wouldn't effect my production or income.
So it would be possible to start in turn 10, and tweak the climates before turn 11. Or are you against tweaking systems already in the game?

Your new Bio spending all looks good :)

Regarding tweaking existing systems: when the rules change, you may retroactively change your characters and worlds that are affected by the change. That's a meta rule even.

However, I prefer to have a system finalised before approving it. It seems silly to me to approve a system knowing I will need to re-approve it the next day. I'm afraid Turn 10 simply isn't possible. However, you'll be up and running by Thursday, well in time for Turn 11.

I will post on the climates tomorrow during my lunch break.

The Alitaera System, and the associated faction, the Kalidorians is approved!

You're in sector 16 -4, but I'll need to know whereabouts you want to have your planet. For example, at the top of the hex, dead in the center, or the bottom left corner. This has absolutely zero effect on the game whatsoever, but is for aesthetic reasons only (and your system will be put there on the map).

Let me know so I can add you on the map!
