Master Meridan - NPC
The group of padawans has to assemble at 10 o’clock in room 105. It is an open room with some chairs to the side. On one of those chairs an elderly woman is knitting something white and soft and fleecy. She looks up when someone enters but then continues. On stroke 10 sharp, she puts down her knitting work and examines everyone.
"So what have we here? A group of padawans wanting to become stronger. I read all your files, and I must admit that there is still a lot room for improvement. Some have done more then others."
Jedi master Meridan seemed to look right through them. Everyone seemed to get a feeling that they were the ones for whom the 'others' was intended.
“You are Jedi. There a lot of things you need to learn and know, if you want to grow within the Order. The fate of the Union and the galaxy may depend upon you. You need constant readiness and vigilance. For one the day will arrive, and you will know it when it comes, that everything may depend on your ability to do what cannot be done.
Now, I had the pleasure of reading all your files, but your fellow students did not. So if you would please introduce yourself to the other, because you need to know each other before we begin. You will be working together closely as a team, and it will be best if you know what to expect of each other.
Once you are done, I will start to train you. When I am done with you, you will be ever vigilant, and ready for that day, when duty calls you."
((OOC: This is the third basic training. It is meant for Jedi characters that have not yet gone through a training mission.
The reward will be 1 skill point. Posting frequency: about 2 per week.))

Nalan looked around the room to the other padawans and could sense the difference in the room. It became clear that since she was a fresh arrival she would have to shape up to follow suite with the rest. The fate of the universe may rest on what ever actions Nalan undertakes. It was a stressfull thought but she was used too that kind of stress by now.
"I am Nalan Passik and I recently arrived here for my jedi training. I was discovered on one of my many travels around the universe and was asked if I wanted to be trained a jedi. and well.. Here I am."

Nathan stood at attention, he was like a large statue when he did that. Not moving a millimeter.
He was slightly confused by the Jedi Masters words. He was always ready to awnser the call of duty, ever since STF Marine bootcamp, no matter what. He was ready when he was in the Marines, he was ready when he was asked to train at the Jedi Temple and he was ready now.
Nalan's introduction snapped him out of his thoughts. He took a step forward.
"Ma'am, Nathan Miodrass Asillion, Stellarian Triad Federation. I am an Astrian full cyborg. And if I may, ma'am, it's an honor to may serve under you." He turned on his heels to the other padawans. "As it is an honor to may serve with all of you."
He saluted the Jedi Master and the padawans, then turn back to his first position and took a step back. With his feet appart and his hands folded behind his back, he stood at ease.

Shaedys looked around the room for a bit and listened to the other padawan talk first. He fidgeted a little, he was nervous because of his lack of experience, but then he assured himself that the rest of the padawans were also inexperienced. Now it was his turn to introduce himself, so he stood up.
"I am Shaedys, no last name, of the Astai Republic. I'm all human and I think I still have a lot to learn of the ways of the Jedi. It would be my honor to receive training from a master."
He tried to appear humble, making a bow in the end and sitting back down again.

The diversity of Jedi missions is quite big and you will go to various places and environments. To be prepared for this you need a lot training and experience to be ready for it all. There are a lot of different species and you should at least know the basics how to survive in various circumstances.”
Master Meridan sighs and waits a few seconds before she continued.
“To get to the point, you need to rescue someone who tough he could survive camping in the biotope. Bring him back outside save and sound.
The youth now a day’s hardly goes into nature and underestimates the danger of the jungle. Nature is beautiful but at the same time treacherous.
So you better prepare yourself well. Rendezvous at the biotope in exactly one hour, dismissed."

Remember that you can take only one relevant action in a single post. You'll have to wait for the result of your check before you can make the next post, though you only have to wait if you took an action, not if you are talking for example, nor do you have to wait for the other player to get their result.
For now though, a simple post of arriving at the biotope and a list of equipment you have with you will be enough (I suggest bringing a lightsaber ^_^))))

Nathan snapped a salute to the Jedi Master. "aye-aye, ma'am." And he marched out of the room to get his equipment.
A jungle search and rescue, he wondered if there would be any hostiles. Not taking any chance he preped his equipment.

- Finger cam (small camera in the tip of his index finger, mainly used for looking around corners or thrue small cracks)
- Radiation detector (detects Alfa-, Beta-, Gamma-, and neutron-radiation)

- Long hilted, long lightsaber
- Three combat knives (mat black, titanium, balanced for throwing, one in his right boot, one horizontal on the back of his belt and one upsidedown on the left of his chest)
- some rations (in case the person to be rescued is under nurished)
- two, three meter long shoelace))
Finishing his preparations he left for the biotope.
Being the first to arive, he started doing push ups to kill time.

Knowing nature can indeed be quite the dangerous place it was time to pack for it.

- 2 two regular blades (two regular handles hilts)
- standard issue blaster pistol
- small technical kit
- small medical kit))
A small medical kit could be useful here for we don't know if the person is hurt and we might need to do some first aid to get him moving. Next to this Nalan also uploads some basic knowledge about the area to her datapad.
Arriving at the location Nalan sees Nathan do his push up on the ground and begins to smile
"I see you keep yourself busy though I think doing push ups is not really doing you any good since you have no muscles"
Nalan sits down near Nathan and awaits the last one to arrive.

Ignoring Nalan's last comment, Nathan switched to one armed push ups.
"Technicaly you're right, but slacking on phisical training breeds laziness. Besides it's fun."
In a quick jump he switched arms and continued his exersize.

Shaedys acknowledged the dismissal and left the room heading to his room and to the store to gather proper supplies, rushing a little knowing he had only an hour.

The biotope is divided in various domes with each a different climates, natures and wildlife. They are connected to each other with glass tubes with in the middle the central hall with the control center, lecture rooms and a central patio with plants and some benches.
On one bench master Meridan sits still busy with her knitting. The white fluffy thing seems to have grown but the shape of it is still unclear. On her shoulder a small tropical bird is hopping around. She watches as the padawans, one for one, arrive.
As Nathan starts doing exercising she smiles, these youths are sure energetic. Just in time Sheadys arrives. Master Meridan puts her knitting work down and looks to the padawans.
“Looks like you are all packed and ready on time. The biotope consists of various biodomes with different climates, natures and wildlife. There are here to train under various circumstances but also to investigate the flora and fauna. Life can take the shape of many forms just like the force.
Now, you younglings need to go to biodome 5 and bring back the lost adventurer to me. His camp should be near the river. Here is the entree and exit card.”
Master Meridan seem to have draw the card from somewhere underneath her knitting work. She holds it in her hand and then the bird flies away and grabs it, delivers it to Nalan and then returns to master Meridans shoulder. Master Meridan strokes it after fulfilling its task.

Nathan was startled by the Jedi Master. He had completely failed to notice her until she started to speak.
"Can you tell us anything about the condition the adventurer is in or if there are any hostile animals or plants, ma'am?" He asked after he had recouperated. He was particularly cautious of the plants as Stellaria was home to a large variety of carnivorous plants. He didn't know if other planets where different or not.

“If I knew the condition I would not have asked you to find and save him. The hostility of animals and plants depends on what kind of behavior you show. You should not agitate animals nor touch poisonous plant, but maybe for you that will be a lesser problem with that body.

The group of padawans walked towards biodome 5. Nalan holds the card in front of the reader and they hear a soft click. Slowly the doors open and they can see a tunnel. There seems to be an airlock (2 door) system for security so that no plants/pollen or animals could escape easily. They walk inside and the door closes.
“Please wait, a security check will be made.”
The female voice comes from panel on the wall. There seem to be multiple scanners inside the wall and they see the light scan them from various angles. After a few seconds of waiting the signal comes.
“You are clear, please proceed.”
The second door opens and hot and humid air is coming towards them. They enter an open jungle. There is a path in the middle and on the left and right there seem to some plant beds; someone was growing them in a controlled way. The path leads straight ahead and they can see a clearing further ahead.
((OOC: I flushed ahead, if you have a problem with something just say so I can rewind things. Let's get going. So you are now on your own.))

Nalan carefully takes in her entire surroundings. Dealing with potentially harmful plants one can never be to careful to not get into contact with them or breath in any harmful pollen.
"It seems the map is clear enough to make it to biodome 5. Until we know more of these plants I suggest we keep our contact them to a minimum and keep to the path as much as we can."
As long as there was no danger Nalan would slowly move on focusing on the map and the path before her. Every couple of steps she looks around her taking in the environment and trying to find any visual points she could use to later find her way back should anything happen.

Two padawans stand still in front of the entrance and are looking around. Only Nalan moves forwards carefully. They can hear some jungle sound coming from straight ahead. This is just the entrée of the biodome with a jungle garden. There is nothing special here. The real Biodome starts at the end of the path.

Nathan looked around. He checked to see if his alternate vision modes would work here.((OOC: check:8: force level 4 + vision 4))
Grabbing his lightsaber in one hand, not activating it, he turned to the other two.
"I'll take point."
He started to walk down the path, scaning his surroundings as he moved.

((OOC: Only i was not standing still when you made your post Stuiter. i clearly stated that i was moving. so your story post kinda shifted me back into a standstill :o.))

"Perhaps it is a good idea to have you lead while I look for the path. Though the first part appears to be easy. the first biodome does not seem to hold anything too special. lets get to number 5 as quick as we can. the need of our aid could be dire."

Shaedys started to follow Nathan, checking to make sure he had all his equipment on him one last time.
"I agree, lets make haste. What could really be in there anyways that could challenge three jedi padawans." He then put both of his hands in his pockets and tried to keep up the pace in the back, keeping aware of his surroundings by paying plenty of attention to his sides.

On the map they see that the dome has a diameter of a few miles. There are two roads on the map, one along the edge of the dome in a circle and one straight ahead, the rest remains unclear. The padawans can go left or right or straight ahead down.

Nalan ponders on the map and her surroundings.
"At the moment I dont see why one path should be safer then another. I suppose we will have to manage and go for the fast path straight ahead. it could save valuable time for the one we are trying to save".
Showing her determination she starts to advance straight ahead. she keeps a close eye on her surroundings so she wont get surprised by anything.

The river streams from the right to the left perpendicular to path straight ahead. So the shortest way towards the river would be straight ahead. But I they want to follow it, they should so left or right for up or down stream.

Nalan seems to ignore Nathans question and continues her way. She walks down the hill and the jungle slowly becomes denser. There are trees, bushes and other plants, there are birds and insects are everywhere. The path is visible but a machete could come in handy if Nalan wanted to continue further.

His metal body could move through the jungle easier by using brute force to tear through the under brush. ((Check: 11 = 4 Force Level + 5 Strength + 2 Athletics -- )) He didn't do anything unnecessary, if he didn't need to break something to get further he didn't.
