The story gets told and certainly strikes a cord. grabbing control just like that because they think it is their right just seems wrong.

"I do not agree with how they act indeed. But I agree with Nathan. What is it exactly what you want from us?"

[Representative Lophos of the Interregnum Democracy of Scir]

"Naturally when this individual came to us we were quite sceptical. It was for this reason that we performed a DNA test to compare their DNA to the remains of members of the royal family.

At this time it appears as if the DNA confirms their story, which makes this matter all the more worrying. It is as if a long lost relative suddenly shows up claiming they have inherited your family fortune and now want you to vacate what you thought was your house.

Unfortunately, any committee we would assemble to investigate the matter further could be argued to be biassed. As I am sure you will agree, everyone on our world has a vested interest in the outcome. The Jedi do not have such interests. As such, the result of any investigation by the Jedi to ascertain the truth behind this most sensitive matter could be considered to be unbiased and fair."

[Shebi Ajava]

"I see. We shall look into the matter.

This will require insight into all pertinent documents, access to the ship and the alleged heir, and possibly a few research assistants to gain insight into the laws and the scientific reports on the DNA analysis.

Furthermore, we need a meeting room and an office from which we can coordinate our efforts."

Shebi Ajava appeared to have dropped in a routine that can only be gained by experience as she listed all requirements.

Directing her attention to the other padawans, she said: "We shall convene on a plan of action behind closed doors, so as to be sure the investigation is not obstructed or hindered in any way."

[Nathan Miodrass Asillion]

"Agreed." Nathan said, nodding at Shebi Ajava's plan.

Turning to the senator he added: "And any intel on their resorcess they have. Confirmed or not. I'm talking about manpower, weaponry, money, the lot."
He wanted to know what they where up against before anything started.

[Ariana Danacia]

"Lets get starting right away, we have a lot of catching up to do."

[Fecta Trigiel]

"I agree with Shebi Ajava." Then the Trigiel turned to Nathan: "Lets safe the interrogations for when we are set up. We are not going into the action... yet" The 'yet' was spoken with some sort of wink. The tone of the padawan didn't sound serious and only the lower two head flaps did extend while saying it.

[Nalan Passik]

"All sounds like a good plan"

Nalan heard Fecta. especially when it came to his "yet".
"I do hope your careful not to react too soon Fecta. This is quite the delicate situation and I suspect that any action we take can be used against us in a way. We have to be delicate about this"

"Is the individual still around here so we could ask him questions when we need too senator?"

"The individual has been confined to their ship by security forces for their protection. They will be available for your inquiry.

We also have the DNA report available though I suspect you may want to talk to the researchers yourself. They are available as well.

You may use my office for your investigation and transportation is available to take you anywhere you need to go. Given the importance of this matter, if you need anything, it will be arranged for you immediately."

The group had various options available, including speaking to the heir-apparent or the researchers who did the DNA test, or they could execute their own plan to gather information - perhaps others had pertinent info after all.

Before they went to talk to anyone though, they should probably agree on an interrogation strategy and on some questions, because if each Jedi took their own approach in parallel, they were likely to cause confusion.

[Fecta Trigiel]

"Thank you, senator, we will do the best we can to solve this issue peacefully."

To the rest of party the cyborg said: "Lets go to the office and start planning there. We are in no direct hurry, but have to work very thorough. Therefore making a plan first will be the best option in my opinion, and a plan is best created in a office with a desk and holonet."

[Shebi Ajava]

"Very well."

Once in the office, without anyone listening in, Shebi Ajava spoke again.

"I would like to hear what your plans are, before I form my own plan."

[Nathan Miodrass Asillion]

Looking at the other padawans, Nathan started to speak.

"I suggest we split up into two groups. One group would go to the ship and interogate the people, including the supposed heir, there. Someone with slicing skills should be in that group to covertly check the ships databanks for anything suspicious." Nathan paused a moment before continueing.

"The other group would go speak to the researchers that did the DNA check. They would also have to check if any of them have had any suspicious contacts, or transactions. If possible I would like to have the DNA test double checked by one of our own."

He let his gaze go over the group to see their reactions toward his plan.

[Ariana Danacia]

"That sounds like a good start. I am willing to talk to the researchers and look at the DNA results."

[Nalan Passik]

Nalan nods in agreement with the setup provided by Nathan.

"Well I know my way around a computer and various programming. So I suppose I could check their computers if needed. Though there might be someone more experienced with computers then I am." Nalan grins while looking at the cyborg members.

"Also I wonder what the claimed heirs want with this place. perhaps there is something special on here that they seek to claim for their own since they came out of nowhere"

[Fecta Trigiel]

"Don't look at me," Trigiel said to Nalan when she was looking at him, suggesting the cyborgs where good with computers, "I am good with mechanics, weapons and ships. Not computers.

And isn't it total, complete extreme quite rather obvious what they want?" He answered to Nalan her question, "...The planet... As they say they are the rightful rulers of this entire faction."

Then teprogrenus turned to the entire group:

"Isn't it an idea to also check out their ship itself? Maybe there are clues of where they came from what they did in their absence and what support they have outside this planet. Therefore I propose I go turn their ship inside out, and back together of course."

[Shebi Ajava]

"I agree that the prospect of being planetary ruler is enough to draw a possible heir here. Being the leader of a faction with an intergalactic economy, and a population in the multiple billions is a very agreeable thing, I imagine. Of course, something might have changed for this heir to actually seek out this opportunity at this moment, but we shouldn't assume.

I think that splitting into two groups is the best plan.

Ariana, Trigiel, go check out the DNA analysis, and talk with the researchers. See if you can somehow get some personal information, it might very well be that they were bribed.

Nalan, Nathan and I will go to the ship and talk to the heir and other people around the heir. Nalan will try to extract information from their ship's computer.

Remember, we are here as a neutral party. For now, we gather information; do not act without talking it over with us. Anything that feels off, or seems to be at odds with your experience should be noted.

Let's go."

Shebi Ajava spoke in a clear and commanding tone, as if she was used to ordering people around.

[Nalan Passik]

"did you lose your humor along with the rest Fecta Trigiel? It was only a jest. Though I do not totally agree with your point about it being totally obvious they just want the planet. Of course I am not sure about it either but its possible the heir has heard about a certain artifact here that was found or whatever that is the deeper meaning of the sudden visit. Just noted it as something that could be checked if for example the DNA tests turn out to be fake".

Nalan slowly shakes her head. Nalan was under the idea that she might of said something wrong with her little joke. She starts to get ready to leave and warm up her fingers for the computer work that is coming up.

Nalan waits for everyone to get ready to leave and smiles
"Good luck on your tasks everyone"

[Shebi Ajava]

Shebi Ajava smiled at Nalan. "As far as jokes go, it was a bit bland. Besides, conflicts of rulership are not a joking matter. A single misunderstanding and things spiral out of control. Such jokes are good and all, but keep it amongst ourselves."

"Enough chit-chat. We'll meet up at the end of the day."

Shebi Ajava left to go speak to the heir.

[Nathan Miodrass Asillion]

Following Shebi Ajava, Nathan spoke out.

"Might I suggest that I hack the ships computers. I am skilled in slicing computersystems and my wireless links would allow me to infiltrate their network more covertly. I also believe we should keep what we know to ourselves as much as posible. You never know if it may come in handy."

[Shebi Ajava]

Turning around at the last moment, Shebi Ajava said: "Yes, I am aware that you are a slicer, but you are also more intimidating, and that is why you and I are going to have a talk, instead of slicing up their computers. Now, are you four going to talk all day, or are we going to get some work done?!"

She left the room for good, and informs the senator that she and two others wish to talk to the heir, and have access to the ship and the people manning it.

((OOC: Nathan's Slicing 2 + Force Level 4 + Reason 3 is 9, which is less than Nalan's Sicing 1 + Force level 5 + Reason 4 at 10. Just saying. :P

Also, while my character usually reads up on those she cooperates with in missions, we do not have a perfect understanding of someone's stats in character as far as I am aware, so such arguments are moot.))

[Ariana Danacia]

Ariana left the room and talked to the Senator. "Dear senator, I would like to talk to the lead scientist that performed the DNA test.
Furthermore we need information about all the people that had access to the DNA test."

After receiving a confirmation Ariana left the government building and went to the scientists.

[Nathan Miodrass Asillion]

Shebi Ajava's autoritive tone envoked an automated response from Nathan.

"Aye, ma'am."

And he followed her out of the room.

[Fecta Trigiel]

Although Trigiel would prefer disasembling the ship, he saw the logic of letting Nathan do the interrogation together with Ajava, so he followed Ariana Danacia to the scientists.

[Mercury]

Fecta Trigiel and Ariana headed off to meet the lead scientist.

"The DNA test was quite conclusive and I am quite certain we did not make any errors." the scientist explained with certainty "Shall I explain the procedure we used?"

Without waiting for an answer, the Kaminoan scientist began to explain:

"We took a sample from the heir in several randomly determined places, to avoid any trickery in this regard. We transported them to the lab under guard. We also took samples from the remains of members of the royal family, to compare them to. The sequencing was done by several independent groups and all confirmed they indicated a familial relationship consistent with the story claimed by the heir. You are free to redo the work, we can get you a remaining sample from the heir and a remaining sample from the royal family."

Meanwhile, Nalan, Nathan and Ajava approached the royal vessel, which was parked on military terrain under heavy guard.

The ramp up to the ship was guarded by two men dressed as medieval soldiers, but armed with modern weapons, positioned on either side of the ramp. Neither soldier gave any sign of recognising or even seeing the Jedi, remaining completely motionless as if they were wax figures rather than real people.

[Shebi Ajava]

Shebi Ajava made sure she carried her lightsaber visibly on her belt, before approaching the ship.

Ignoring the guards, she started up the ramp with the intention of entering the ship and adressing the first person she met inside.

[Ariana Danacia]

"That sounds like a decent procedure, but we will have to double check nonetheless. I would like to look at the reports you produced on the tests. Furthermore I would like to perform a test myself. ((Check: 10 = 4 Force Level + 5 Reason + 1 Medicine -- Checking the reports.))

While I am doing this everybody that has come in contact with the DNA samples or reports should talk to Trigiel. He will ask some simple questions."

Ariana stepped back and contacted Shebi Ajava with her telepathy. Could you get me a DNA sample of the heir for testing and personally deliver it to the lab here. Or you could let one of the other Jedi bring it. ((Check: 10 = 4 Force Level + 5 Energy + 1 Telepathy -- ))
