"Ok.", Tera replies to Nathan.

Tera closes the door, places the lightsabers on the table again.

"Everything is under control", she states as she helps the senator get up. "We should probably continue switching clothes now, I'd rather not keep jumping around naked..."

She helps out with disrobing where necessary, paying close attention to how the dress, corset and undergarments are arranged while worn, to make sure she can mirror the way Salixa wears her clothing — not that it would matter much, but there's no reason not to.

Once the senator is disrobed, Tera waits for her to remove her make-up, and helps her get dressed like a Jedi. Then, once the senator is changed, Tera starts donning the senator's clothing. Discovering the many annoying and hard-to-reach laces, she mirrors the senators inability to handle this clothing herself.

"Could you help me with this?", she asks with a smile, as she struggles with the laces.

"No that won't be necessary. But bring something with which we can see inside an animal. An x-ray machine or something. Again you and your men are not to proceed beyond this hallway."

Nathan told the man. He was cautious to a fault.

He checked the hallway with his infra red vision again to see if no one tried to sneak further inside.

The Senator nodded a bit unsure, but when Tera said everything was under control she seemed reassured. After clearing up her make-up, the Senator changed into Tera's outfit - the hood didn't quite fit the Senators hairstyle though.

"These Jedi Robes feel... unfamiliar... they don't give as much support." she noted once she had changed into Tera's outfit. "And I feel a bit... naked with so little make-up."

She moved behind Tera to help her lace up the corset, pulling it in quite tight so as to be able to fit her into the narrow-waisted fake leather gown. Between the corset, stiletto heels of her boots and the narrow skirt running all the way down to the ground, Tera was seriously hampered in her freedom of movement.

"We'll need to do something about your hair..." she noted.

Meanwhile, the security officer nodded to Nathan "Yes Sir, we won't proceed."

After a while, Nathan received a hand-scanner which could pick up explosives even inside animals, and senate security upped their sensors a level to prevent further animal-bombs from getting inside. Nathan did not spot anyone trying to sneak around.

"The lack of make-up is very natural", Tera replies to the remark.

Not being very happy with the amount of movement that the complete get-up afforded, Tera looks in the mirror.

"Now we'll have to get the birds out of your hair, and into mine...", she states as she looks at the failed attempt to combine a Jedi hood with the senator's hair style. "And the make-up needs to be fixed, of course."

"Getting them out isn't too hard..." the Senator moved to her closet and got out a large box with various holes in it. One by one, she started reaching up to get her birds to sit on her finger, talking softly to them as she re-housed them to the box.

"I always let them stay in here if I need a new hairstyle or if I need to clean out their habitat." Clean out their habitat sounded like a euphemism for something that Tera might not want to think about too much.

"Do you want me to do your make-up? I think I can make it look authentic, but you will have to do mine, because I'm not sure I can get yours right without going overboard."

Having received the scanner, Nathan moved back to the office door. He didn't open it but called out to the inside.

"Tera, how far along are you?"

"You're right, it's best if we do each other's make-up. If you can sit down?"

After the senator sat down, Tera first brushed the senator's hair to make sure that it would work with the hood. Then, she gets the best matching red from the senator's make-up collection, and applies a little to match her style.

After that, she sits down, closes her eyes, and waits for the senator to finish with the make-up and hairdo.

With the make-up and hairdo finished, she admires herself in the mirror. She grabs her lightsabers. She fidgets around a little with the lightsabers, and decides to put them in her hair. With the absurd hairdo she was sporting right now, they wouldn't be noticed, and she can easily grab them... hopefully.

Tera walks out into the office.

"We're done here.", she states through the door.

The Senator settled down at the table by the mirror, giving a smile to Tera as she let the woman brush her hair. The hair was not entirely cooperative, but Tera managed to get it to behave and settle down. Once it was down, she pulled up the hood and hid inside.

Now attention turned to getting Terra made up, which seemed to be an endless routine of different colours and powders, each seemingly devoted to specific parts of the face despite all looking the same.

Doing Tera's hair took as much time as the extensive make-up routine, but putting the lightsabers in wasn't all that hard once it was done. Did the Senator go through all this effort every day? It seemed hard to believe.

"You will have to take good care of my birds..." Senator Salixa looked a bit unsure once they were ready to put them in. Once Salixa was reassured and the birds were settled, she gave Tera a careful look over, fussing over a few minor details before nodding appreciatively.

"You look very beautiful like this." she noted with a warm smile

((OOC: I missed a lot sadly, I hope my post makes any sense, describing what Jaicen did during the attack))

Jaicen went along with Nathan while the ladies changed clothes, still buried inside his lists and trying to figure out whether anyone might have a background with bountyhunters or Slaves. While TG-100 was still guarding the entrance to the hallway.

He did not particulary care about the bunny, also because he sensed Nathan was using the force on it, until the explosion. Jaicen duck within his hoverchair while Nathan maneuvred in front of Jaicen.

Then the programming of TG-100 kicked in: It grabbed and activated its lightsaber while he rushed towards Jaicen, ready to defend him from any attack. For a few seconds TG-100's head quickly spinned around its body, trying to scan the area for anything that could threaten Jaicen. Jaicen let it deactivate his lightsaber when it became clear no direct threat was around.

"Thanks, Nathan, for shielding me." Was Jaicens sincere response and he looked whether Nathan was allright. Realizing he'd been superficially hit in his upperarm with a tiny amount of shrapnel and he was bleeding a bit "I will set TG-100 at the hallway door to handle the security things for you. I need to attend a bit to my wound."

Jaicen then hovered towards the entrance of the hallway with TG-100 and ordered his medical droid to join them. The medical droid first removed the tiny piece of shrapnell and then cauterized the wound, after the injection of an anestetic. Jaicen instructed the droid to keep the piece of shrapnell.
According to the droid Jaicen was very lucky and he should take more care about his blood sugar levels and blood amount and that he should not get wounded again since Jaicen couldn't stand another shot of anestetic and he should not do such dangerous missions. Sitting completely still during the procedure Jaicen pondered whether he should adjust the droids language protocols.

The droid finished just as Tera and the Senator walked out. Jaicen then went to Nathan and asked: "fuckers, They had to be able to direct the bunny or there are more explosions, furthermore, from what I know, bombs within a rabbit are quite hard to make. Maybe we can determine the origin that way?"

"No problem." Nathan told Jaicen.

"They didn't need to direct the bunny. It's well known the Senator is surrounded by animals and considering her personality she would probably pick up the bunny at some point. But don't mention the bunny near the ladies."

Nathan turned to Senate Security. "Put up a few screens to hide the point of the explosion from view. Then collect any evidence and bomb fragments needed before starting clean up."

Going back to Jaicen, Nathan leaned a little closer to whisper something to him.

"Can you keep an eye on things here? Don't let anyone past the hallway anywhere."

After receiving an answer, Nathan knocked on the door to the office and announced himself before he entered. He closed the door behind him.

"Excuse me, Senator. I would like to scan the animals you have here. To make sure they are alright." He held up the handheld scanner as he spoke. "There is still some danger in the hallway, It would be best if you stayed in here for the time being."

If he got permission he would start scanning the animals.

Not knowing the exact situation outside, Tera simply remained with the senator. As long as Nathan was scanning here instead of giving the all clear signal, Tera would keep the senator occupied — by asking about the remunzian language, the senator's ideas on ecological development of Unity, and the current fashions in Remunzia. Any topic not related to politics or assassinations, really.

After Nathan Turned to Security Jaicen's TG-100 responded: "Allright, I will not let anyone pass through the hallway, even security will not go further than the bomb site." TG-100 walked to a point in the hallway where he had a good view of the situation and was able to let nobody pass, TG-100 would not even allow a bird to get through. Explosives were not his kind of thing so Jaicen let security do their work, while observing them without getting in their way. Jaicen send his two other droids to a far away position in the room.

((OOC: I'm somewhat confused at the moment. From Jaicen's posts I get the idea that Jaicen's player is under the impression that he was in the Office as the explosion took place. Because of that he seems to be talking about the explosion in the presence of the senator. Just to be sure I don't react in a completely inane manner, a point of clarification on how I currently understand the situation:

The layout of rooms is "Hallway -- Office -- Dressing Room", where '--' means a door connecting the two areas.
The explosion took place in the Hallway.
Both Nathan and Jaicen were standing in the Hallway (since they left the office before Tera and Salixa moved to the Dressing Room).
At the moment of the explosion in the Hallway, Tera and the Senator were in the Dressing Room.
At the moment of the explosion both doors were closed.
The whole handling of security and bomb sites happens in the Hallway. Everything between Nathan, Jaicen and senate security happens in the Hallway up to the statement "After receiving an answer, Nathan knocked on the door to the office and announced himself before he entered. He closed the door behind him."
At this point, Nathan has entered the Office, while Jaicen remains in the Hallway. Tera and the Senator are in the Office.
Jaicen, and his droids are all in the Hallway and remain there up to this post. And the statement "Jaicen send his two other droids to a far away position in the room." is intended to state that the droids are in a far-away position in the Hallway (otherwise they would've suddenly teleported into the Office, which doesn't make sense).

Do the others agree with my understanding?))

((OOC: Yup, my droids are in the hallway and I intended to send my astromech and medicdroid somewhere in the hallway. Away from security. Furthermore, I also wanted to prevent security from coming into the office, so that is where TG-100 is located at the moment))

"It's best if we allow him to scan the animals, they must be protected too, after all.", Tera said to the senator as she took her arm and steered her towards a "sitting trunk".

Tera checked for small animals before sitting down, and pulled down the Tera-like senator next to her. To pass the time, Tera made smalltalk by asking some questions about the different animals in the room, and getting the senator to learn her some Remunzian sentences. Mostly to get the senator's mind off of a possible attack.

((OOC: We figured something out due to reading old mission logs. (Since that rabbit was suspicious) I can use it I guess? Bringing a twi'lek ex-slave home.))

While Nathan was scanning and Tera was talking, Jaicen had a hunch about the rabbit and after remembering reading an old mission report with a twi'lek slave, he rushed in the room, TG-100 still at his old place in the hallway, and said to Nathan and Tera: "Nathan, Tera, the white rabbit is a statement by the Slave Rebellion, a rallying call for slaves to rise up. It apparently also scares the living daylight out of the Hutts and it is forbidden to utter the sentence in their space. We might be able to know more about these bombs by asking the Hutts directly through government channels: It will be worth our time. We should contact the ministry of foreign affairs."

Jaicen then looked at the senator in the room, remembering he wasn't supposed to talk about exploding rabbits and followed regretfully with:

"Ow, damn, sorry Nathan."

Tera's first instinct is to sharply and coldly explain to Jaicen how contacting a foreign superpower for information about a bomb that just went off inside the senate building is tantamount to treason, and how contacting the Hutt in specific would not in any way help since they don't give two cents about the Union's problems, and because a bomb is a bomb.

Tera remembers her training and the way of the Jedi, and quickly tones down her response. Furthermore, due to the presence of the senator she is not in a position to explain how this was the worst plan she had heard so far today. So, instead she simply opted to 'advise' Jaicen to get out, and hopes that Nathan isn't going along with this plan that would get the three of them kicked off this mission before she could say "Padawan".

Before reacting Tera stands up, careful to take an elegant poise on the stilleto heels she is currently wearing. And even more careful to stand in between the real senator and the now open door, to make sure she doesn't accidentally catch a glimpse of rabbit gibs splattered all over the wall.

When she is standing Tera, in her usualy friendly voice, states:

"You are scaring the animals. Please leave and close the door behind you."

"And what exactly would that accomplish, Jaicen?" Nathan asked, calmly. Not a hint of annoyance, anger or weariness in his voice. "We are here to protect the senator. We know who is after her life."

A part of him wanted to chew Jaicen out, like a drill sergeant would a recruit that just did something very stupid. When he had been discharged he had already been an officer, though. He had already learnt not to act on that idea. His Jedi training had only further curbed such thoughts.

"Contain your enthusiasm. Use your head and think before you act. Now, return to your task."

There was no malice in Nathans voice as he spoke. After he spoke, Nathan continued scanning the animals. Clearly, the Astrian Jedi expected Jaicen to do as he was told.

Now that Jaicen was told to leave by Nathan as well, Tera actually felt a little bad. She doesn't really know what background Jaicen has, or why he is so enthusiastic about this. Tera knows that her past self would have had to get angry, but that impulse is still there even though she'd be much happier just working together.

Tera silently sits down again, sad and not really pleased with her own reaction to Jaicen. She hopes the senator doesn't read her sadness from her face...

Jaicen was able to find that many of the ambassy staff were actively against slavery - unfortunately, that included the Senator herself, who had had some very outspoken opinions on the topic. No direct links to bounty hunters or the Slave Rebellion was found, though several ambassy members were former militant vegans, with a long arrest record for trying to fight various bio-industrial corporations. None of them violent though.

The senator nodded a bit unsure when Tera suggested scanning the animals, but the Jedi was doing a good job keeping her distracted so before she could protest they were talking about the personalities of the different animals and how important the pets were to the staff.

"So naturally we had to give her the rest of the month off so she could take care of her bird" the senator explained after the topic got to one a pet bird of one of her assistants who had gotten the flu. Apparently that was a good reason to take time from work in the ambassy.

She looked at Jaicen as he explained the rabbit.

"What white rabbit? Do we have rabbits?" she seemed confused and looked at Jaicen for an answer, trying to peer past Tera to get a glimpse of the rabbit, though the Jedi managed to keep herself elegantly positioned while blocking any line of sight towards the hallway - and since Jaicen wasn't carrying any rabbits, she soon turned her eyes back to Tera.

"Are you alright Tera? You seem... troubled." what the Senator lacked in military thinking, she made up for in compassion, so seeing someone sad easily popped on her radar. The Senator looked around a moment and picked up a fuzzy creature with purple and cyan fur and handed it to Tera.

"When you are unsure of yourself, holding a Tooka sometimes helps." she knew.

Nathan's scan of the animals indicated that the Tooka had no explosives inside of it, nor any of the animals in this room.

Tera accepts the Tooka, and holds it gently.

Looking at the absurdly large smile of the creature does make her feel a little better.

"Something from my past came back to me, but I think I shouldn't let it haunt me."

She strokes the Tooka as she speaks. Seeing the little creature stretch leisurely and smile at her some more lifts her spirits a little more, to the point that she paid more attention to the Tooka than to her sadness.

"Nathan deactivated a mechanical white bunny, which contained a bomb, that is why there was an explosion." Jaicen explained. He did feel the senator was supposed to know what was happening around her.

Jaicen was a bit upset at their responses, although he understood them a bit. Jaicen's opinion was that just following orders without thinking for yourself was stupid.

"Allright, I will go outside again." Jaicen finished and he went outside

It wasn't as though Nathan didn't understand Jaicens wish to contact the Hutts, but Nathan was looking at a very wide picture. Regardless of the current war with the Slave Rebelion, the Hutt Families and the Union weren't exactly on good terms. Asking them about something they were so scared of they forbid speaking of it, would likely provoke hostility. Nathan wasn't simply following orders, he was following what he believed to be the best course of action.

Just before Jaicen was out the door, Nathan called out to him.

"Jaicen, you did find confirmation the Slave Rebellion was behind this. That was good, well done."

When the senator turned out to be surprised by news of a white rabbit, Nathan took notice. Combined with the information from Jaicen he had cause for concern.

As he went into the next room to scan the animals there, Nathan contacted Senate Security.

"Padawan Nathan Asillion to Senate Security. I want all personnel on the lookout for white rabbits. Approach with extreme caution, they are likely to contain explosives. Relay this information to all embassies, including those outside the senate building, as well as the spaceport and the holonet communications array. I advise that any other important locations are also informed and the Unity City Police, but tell them to keep quiet about it, we do not want to cause a panic. Inform the cabinet as well."

While he used his silent communication he also started scanning any animals in the other rooms.
