[Veolian Commonwealth]

((OOC: To make sure there is no confusion: the Veolian Commonwealth has opted to maintain a separate Embassy building on Unity, instead of accepting the default offer of an embassy connected directly to the senate building. The Offices of the Chancellor are an area of offices inside the senate building, distinct and unrelated to the Veolian Commonwealth embassy.

I discovered to my surprise that information on the Veolian Embassy cannot be found on the wiki (though it was established in 2012). I have rectified this situation by updating my wiki page with a clear link to the Veolian Embassy.))

After a while, Jaicen and "Senator Salixa" arrived at their destination, and thus the group was reunited in the chancellors office, having confirmed that indeed the call to come to the senate was real. They should probably go there now.

((OOC: I apologize for letting this sit -waaay- too long. If there are no objections, I can move us ahead this Monday, but I wanted to give a quick opportunity to see if you want to make any last minute changes before going to your final destination))

"Come on, we gotta get to the Senate. Let's double time it."

As they started to leave Nathan quietly, so no one but his fellow jedi could hear, added: "Keep your guard up, I have a bad feeling about this."

[Jaicen Hedoss]

"Agreed, let's go. I think those bombers have to make a big scene now, since their other attempts failed." Jaicen said: "I will be on my guard."

With the team in agreement, the heroes made their way through the hallways of the Senate Building up to the main Senate chamber. Luckily the Chancellors offices were very close to the room.

Once the delegations, including the heroes, had entered, one of the Chancellors aids made a statement:

"This meeting will fall under the state secrets act. All personnel except for the ministers, senators and representatives shall have to leave the room."

After he had spoken, the roof of the senate building was darkened and people started to leave. There appeared to be an expectation that Nathan, "Tera" and Jaicen should now leave "Senator Salixa" to her political meeting...

"Good luck, senator Salixa" Jaicen said quietly to Tera, with an expression on the senator. "We will leave the room now." And with that TG-100 walked out of the meeting room, hopefully taking Nathan and 'Tera' with him.

Nathan didn't budge a centimetre, staying exactly where he was. He cast a look at the aid, judging his reaction.

"Jaicen." Calmly calling his fellow jedi to stay.

Nathan started looking around the room looking for anything suspicious that shouldn't be there, cycling through his different vision modes for more details. He paid special attention to anything that might be another bomb. Obviously a bomb going off during a senate session here would be devastating to the Union. And with the state secrets act enabled, the explosion would be concentrated becoming even more deadly.

Preparing to leave Jaicen heard Nathan and looked at him with a face which indicated questioning and TG-100 said something that resembles: "huh?"

Jaicen then started to sense the force and looking around for a person who might have bad intentions.

Senator Salixa of the Silver Forests of RemunziaTera did not want to weaken her disguise, since that would surely create an enormous amount of chaos. So, she decides to remain silent while her companions prevent the Senate session from starting.

Nathan and Jaicen sensed that almost every single person here was hiding things, conspiracies, dark secrets, plans within plans... then again, they were politicians, in the highest echelons of power, so honestly if they didn't have anything to hide, that would be the unusual thing.

Besides the sensing of what seemed very much like politicians, no signs of bombs or the likes were present.

"All personnel, except for ministers, senators and representatives shall leave the room", the announcement was repeated.

Nathan considered his options for a moment. Then he made a decision.

"We'll leave as soon as everyone else has." He said, looking at the aid.

He leaned over to 'Senator Selixa' and whispered just loud enough for her to hear.

"Stay quiet as much as possible. We'll be right outside the door if things go south. Should it come down to it, the lives of the senators and ministers have priority over your cover."

He paused before adding one last thing.

"You've got this."

He made a polite bow to the 'Senator' and headed towards the exit. As he waited for the remaining personnel to clear out he quickly looked if there weren't any droids or people lingering. Nathan made certain he was the last person out before the door closed and locked, he would not leave until only those supposed to be there remained.

"Allright" Jaicen's TG-100 walked near Nathan and made sure the fake Tera was always within arm's length before exiting the large room.

Senator Salixa of the Silver Forests of RemunziaTera, disguised as Senator Salixa, patiently waited for her Jedi companions to leave the senate.

Nathan made sure no others lingered and left after Jaicen and "Tera" had also exited the senate. Outside, they could wait just outside the door, though they would not be able to hear what was going on inside.

Inside, the discussion started, as the Chancellor proposed war on the Slave Rebellion. Excaria immediately seconded the motion, and the Hiocans soon joined, though after that there was some silence between the different senators, few of them seeming comfortable with the idea of war so soon after the conflict with the Mandalorians.

Finally though, the Sundarians followed with support for their motion, but their support came with a caveat, as Senator Jennifer Obotanga referenced that permission from the Remunzian Government was necessary to act in the Remunzian system.

The chancellor gave a very intense look towards where the Remunzian delegation would be seated, towards "Senator Salixa", and now everyone was looking at her.

Senator Salixa of the Silver Forests of Remunzia'Senator Salixa' looked rather nervous about the whole thing. She carefully shuffled forward.

"Remunzia..."

The Senator paused a moment then trying again as her voice seemed to fail her a moment. She looked like she was about to burst into crying - and though her makeup was fine, the red lines in her eyes suggested she might have already done so.

"Remunzia opposes war and violence at a deep and fundamental level. Our values of peace and harmony with nature are in direct opposition to it.

We ask the Union for their aid against the evil that the Slave Rebellion has brought to our people and hope that they are still willing to protect us despite any mistakes we have made. We hope that the Union..."

".. that the Union is able to do so with a minimum of... ... bloodshed and that peace ... will come... quickly... and we... we... we will do... whatever... ever we can.. to aid in this...

We..." the Senator seemed to be unable to continue here, pausing a moment to gather her words.

"We give permission for... the use of our territories... in the endeavours the Union... decides is necessary to help us..."

It was clearly very emotional for the Senator, who decided to end her speech here, having covered the primary points.

Jaicen, completely oblivious to the speech waited outside with the real senator. "Anything out of the ordinary, Nathan?" TG-100 asked Nathan.

[Mercury]

The Chancellor thanked "Senator Salixa" for the cooperation of her world, and soon the motion of declaration of war was passed. After a making her excuses, the chancellor announced a break, giving "Senator Salixa" a chance to make her escape.

With the speech taken care of, the Remunzian senator was no longer needed and the Jedi were able to take her to safety.

((OOC: This was the last challenge in protecting the Senator, so I am going to end the mission here. Once a story page has been made, I will grant to everyone! This one was a lot of fun to run, I'll add!))
