((OOC: "Tera" is doing the whole "group hug!" thing))
Jaicen saw the droid rushing to the senator and he recognized the type of droid. Internally he lamented on the shabby work that was performed on the poor droid.
In a split second Jaicen decided two things since he had to act before the press would be blown up. Which would look bad upon his curriculum vitae:
306, allowed a group of reporters to get blown up by a faulty droid. Was not something Jaicen aspired.
The first order was giving TG-100 the order to rush towards the droid, pushing everyone away, with an order to grab the droid and remove it from the premises. ((OOC: TG-100 will remove the head of the droid if he can't carry the droid, Assuming the Camera-place is in the head.)). TG-100 was ordered to take it far away from here and dump it in the sewers, a pond or something safe.
Jaicen himself, in the meantime, knew the design of this particular droid species and probably knew where wires towards its motorframe ought to be located. He hoped to stop the droid before it reached the crowd by closing his eyes for a few seconds, focusing on the force for a few seconds, reaching out towards the droid and sending a small impulse within the wires, just enough to disturb the right leg and trip the droid. Hopefully this action would not trigger any fail saves planted within the droid.
((Check: 13 = 5 Force Level + 5 Energy + 3 Mechanical Engineer -- Tripping the Droid with the force.))
If that failed or is not possible and Jaicen still has time, Jaicen pulls his blaster out of his hovercraft compartment and just shoots the droid in his legs.

The hug struck Nathan as odd and immediately made him suspicious. Doubt plagued his mind for a few moments, but as he sensed 'Tera' coming closer he decided to do his duty first and ask questions later.
Still holding the camera, Nathan locked the supposed photographer in an inescapable embrace. He moved away from 'Tera', dragging the man along.
((Check: 14 = 6 Force Level + 5 Strength + 3 Athletics -- Locking the photographer against Nathan))
"Stay back!" he yelled to 'Tera' in a commanding tone.
He forced the himself and the photographer to drop. Nathan supported a part of his own weight, to prevent the man from being crushed. The rest was used to keep the man pinned underneath the quarter ton cyborg.
"You are under arrest, my friend." Nathan told the man.
He opened a comm line to senate security.
"Padawan Asillion to Senate Security. I have a suspect in custody at the back entrance of the Remunzian Embassy, request immediate assistance."
As he waited he wondered how a senator could be so reckless as to approach a stranger when under threat of assassination.

Tera, in the guise of the remunzian senator, hurried away from the press and towards the embassy's door. She needs a backup plan quickly, since she was not as confident in Jaicen's battledroid prowess as Jaicen, and getting that droid near her would most likely be exceedingly painful, if not fatal. She needs space between her and the droid immediately.
Her plan is simple: make it seems she trips and falls forward, while really using her Jedi training to make a lot of distance as she tries to stay afoot but ultimately fails and falls over near the door. The press would see the senator nearly trip, try to recover and fall on her butt. What they would't notice is the fact that she had somehow covered the distance to the door faster than she would have had she walked.
So, she trips and "falls" forward. Ending with her sitting on her bum, one hand on the ground. The other hand in her hair gripping her lightsaber, to slice the droid into pieces should it still reach her.
((Check: 12 = 4 Force Level + 5 Fitness + 1 Force Speed + 2 Stealth -- Fake tripping, falling forward and ending up against the door.))

The faux-Senator 'tripped' as she made her way to the door, hoping to stumble and jump to safety, but mid attempt she found that her skirt didn't very much agree with the second part and once she went off in the wrong direction, her heels ensured she wasn't going to recover either. The fall was convincing enough - becoming real mid way through - but it didn't quite reach the door, and instead she landed on her bum very much as intended, but exposed and without cover or a door nearby.
The 'Senator' wasn't the only one tripping - TG-100 rushed the droid as Jaicen used the force to trip over the droid. The battledroid slammed into the retrofitted press droid, and with the aid of Jaicen's intervention with the force toppled it over and to the side. As it landed on the ground, the chest of the droid cracked open. Inside were several blocks of explosives, hooked up to an electric trigger. As they landed, a soft beep started to rise in pitch, indicating the explosives were about to activate!
Why had someone made a bomb that went -beeeeeep- instead of simply blowing up right away? By all means it didn't make sense - perhaps the bomb had malfunctioned from the droid being rushed, or the bomb-maker was not as skilled as he liked to think. Whatever the cause was could be considered later, the bomb was about to explode!
((OOC: There are several considerations regarding Jaicens action against the droid, including the limits of telekinesis for Jedi without said power, and whether or not you can evoke electrical pulses in a machine (or a brain for that matter).
Regardless of those considerations, I feel that a Jedi should be able to trip a droid without having to resort to the minutia of such rules, especially if said Jedi's TG-100 droid is also charging the droid. So without making any rulings for or against the aforementioned considerations, I am approving the check to trip the droid.
Regarding "Senator Salixa's" trip attempt, I have decided to fail the check. The press is paying attention to her, making it harder to pull this off. Additionally, she's wearing an outfit which is very much not conductive to physical activity. I do believe that a result of 12 is enough to conceal the attempt, but it does not suffice to reach the door.
Final note: I will of course wait my turn to post again. When I do, the bomb will likely go off, so if you intend to do something about that, or with it, you have to do it in your post before then.))

Nathan grabbed the photographer and pushed him away from 'Tera'. With his jedi strength and cyborg weight, the photographer didn't stand a chance and easily got slammed into the floor, pinned underneath Nathan
'Tera' meanwhile shrieked like a little girl, a high-pitch squeal which'd have certainly caused a flock of birds to scatter out of someone who might be wearing them in their hair. Luckily there were no such creatures.
((OOC: Your check to bodycheck the photographer is successful!))

Jaicen had two options now, which he had to consider within a split second after seeing the explosives in the droid. One option was trying to disarm the bomb, the other was to let TG-100 run away with the bomb and throw it away. Since Jaicen had no experience at all with explosives he decided the latter: Being blown up by the cutting of a wrong wire was not something he admired.
TG-100 acted very quickly: He cut the legs of the droid with his lightsaber grabbed the droid firmly and dragged it away from the crowd, while yelling with a loud metal voice: "THIS IS A BOMB, STAY THE FUCK AWAY." Jaicen knew the environment of the embassy and directed TG-100 to a place he expected no people would be present. This could be a building quarry, an empty building, an empty subway entrance or something alike. ((Check: 8 = 5 Force Level + 3 Strength -- Pulling the droid)).
Jaicen followed from a distance and if the bomb droid was in a place without people and has not yet exploded Jaicen let TG-100 throw his lightsaber at him, to explode the droid, and Jaicen pulled his lightsaber back with the force. ((Check: 10 = 5 Force Level + 5 Energy -- ))
TG-100 would be shielding Jaicen if needed.
((OOC: Basically a lightsaber throw, I don't know if this is a combat maneuver and I don't know whether I should include a lightsaber check or this will be allright))

Ending on her bum, "Senator Salixa" looked very perplexed for a moment, and then looks at her horrible and utterly useless monster of a dress with a look that is entirely unbecoming of a senator.
Quickly recovering her composure, as she remembers that she ought to be a senator, Tera decides that she might as well get up and recover as best she can from falling for real. The fact that TG-100's loud voice is projecting expletives at the press probably helps a bit with covering up how unaccustomed "Salixa" suddenly is with high heels.
She makes sure to quickly continue towards the door once she is standing again, which is what Tera thinks a Tooka-less, scared Salixa would most likely do. She makes sure to not go in the direction, or get in the way, of TG-100 as she walks towards the door.
((OOC: I omitted a check for getting up, since that would be silly.))

Nathan, still lying on top of his suspect waiting for senate security, realised a little late that this mission was more akin to babysitting then guard duty. The Senators reactions were more like that of an infant then a politician, screaming like that for simply grabbing and holding a suspicious person. All he had done was a bit of manhandling.
"Excuse me, could I trouble you not to damage my hearing? I would appreciate it."
Nathan asked in a normal tone. His deeper male voice effortlessly cutting through 'Teras' high-pitched squeal.

Jaicen's droid TG-100 cut the legs out from under the bomb-droid, grabbing the remaining chasis and making a run for it. Unfortunately, this was the Senate Building, the very heart of the Union and utterly crowded and hoping for an empty building, let alone a subway entrance was idle hope. Moreover, this was 47th floor.
Racing away from the crowd, Jaicen, by means of TG-100, picked the least crowded spot to bring the droid to: the square below by the entrance to the building. It was big enough to have quiet spots where there were few people. He also picked the shortest route there, and TG-100 charged through the window, jumping through like a space whale breaking through the surface of an asteroid belt.
At the apex of his jump, TG-100 threw the bomb-droid up with all his force, Jaicen's hoverchair moving to the broken window and using the Force to guide his lightsaber to the bomb droid, piercing the electronics and explosives and making the entire thing go "boom".
A huge explosion followed, shattering windows at the Senate Building and sending Jaicen tumbling through the hallway, landing upside down with his hover chair as TG-100 crashed into a planter 47 floors below. He'd need some repairs, but he'd be okay.
The shattered glass hit some of the press but the injuries were minor, a scratch here and there. "Senator Salixa" had managed to get out of the way in time despite her tumble, so besides a bruised ego over tripping over her skirt and heels, she was unharmed.
The real Senator Salixa, disguised as Tera, meanwhile looked like she had accidentally stepped on the tail of her Tooka. "Oh my goodness, I'm so..." she looked at Nathan apologetically, fearing she had actually damaged his hearing, when she was interrupted by an explosion not far from here. It clearly hadn't come from the suspicious person Nathan was holding, though it was probably a sign he should get the real senator to safety!

Jaicen tumbled around a few times with his hoverchair, barely deactivating his lightsaber on its return trip to Jaicen. As Jaicen lies helpless on the ground, out of his chair, his medical droid came stumbling about out of nowhere and started assessing Jaicens medical status.
"Before you put needles in me, could you get me up first?" Jaicen said with an irritated voice to the droid, which he luckily did. Jaicen then grabbed his lightsaber, activated it again while sitting in his hoverchair and said to the droid: "I am fine, go check on other possible injured persons." He hoped Nathan was smart enough to get the real senator out of the way and ordered TG-100 to get back to him as quickly as possible.

The explosion set Nathan on high alert, his mind racing and breakneck speed. First thing he needed to do was free himself up so he could move. He used a quick headbutt to knock the captured man unconscious.
Getting up, Nathan opened a comm channel to Jaicen. "Jaicen, report." He barked. Though Nathan had a feeling he already knew what had happened. A chilling realization donned on him as he waited for Jaicens reply. A faint sliver of hope he was wrong filled him as he silently prayed to the Goddesses.
"We need to move, now."
He said, turning to the real senator. Nathan started guiding her away from the Remunzian Embassy. With already two bombings, the embassy was simply becoming to dangerous to stay there. He gently pushed the senator to keep a fast pace.

Luckily Jaicens communicator was still working and when Jaicen sat in his hovercraft again he answered: Ow yeah, that, well, someone tried to blow up my beautifull droid with another droid, it failed. Nobody died, except for the bombdroid. Jaicen out.
Tera did not actually have a communicator with her, so she did not hear the exchange between Nathan and Jaicen.
She feels that continuing the plan might actually be the best course of action. Jaicen heard her speak to the press, so he knows what she is doing. And retrieving the Tooka offers him some time to handle the situation without having to pay attention to the safety of "Senator Salixa".
So, she simply gets up, and continues her plan: get to the embassy, enter it, get the Tooka, and return.

The man was easily knocked out by a headbutt from Nathan's metal head, and Nathan gently got "Tera" out of here.
"Is he alright?" she wondered, clearly quite uncomfortable at the sight of the knocked out man "Did you... did you kill him...?" - at least "Tera" was somewhat more mobile than the real Tera currently was, and Nathan hurried her out of here.
As Jaicen confirmed himself being alright, the medical droid helped him up and back into his hoverchair, determining he was mostly unharmed, save a few minor scrapes.
"Senator Salixa" was able to find the Tooka, though it had now climbed on top of a cabinet, apperantly having been scared by the loud noise outside. And something smelled off about Senator Salixa too, so it wasn't entirely sure if it should come down.
((OOC: I would like to move on to bringing the "Senator" to the Senate Room, but I'll let you guys wrap up here first :)))

"He'll be fine." Nathan replied to 'Tera'. He pushed his disapproval of, what he considered, Jaicens unprofessional attitude aside in his mind. Instead he focused on the task at hand.
As they paced, he contacted Jaicen again.
"Jaicen, change of plans. We're heading for the office of the other one we spoke to at the embassy." Nathan was somewhat cryptic. He hoped Jaicen would understand he was leading the actual senator to the Chancellors office and that he thought their comms might be compromised. He assumed Jaicen would affirm he got the message.
Nathan believed Senate Security had been infiltrated, or was otherwise compromised, by the Slave Rebelion, likely ultramarines. No less then two explosive devices had made it as far as the Remunzian Embassy, seemingly undetected, in a single day. For that to be coincidence seemed very unlikely to him. He reasoned that if that was indeed the case the chances of the call summoning the Remunzian Senator to the Senate being fake were very real.
He would probably find out if the message was fake when he reached the Chancellors office. He hoped the Chancellor used Veolian guards instead of Senate Security.

Jaicen responded to Nathan with: Sounds like an acceptable plan, the embassy of Skuldda it is, I have to wait, untill, after she got her Tooka.. Jaicen obviously knew that wasn't the place Nathan meant, but since Nathan sounded cryptic Jaicen wanted to mislead possible intruders too.
Jaicen also opened a holo-channel to security and said: Cordon off the bomb site area please, we will be taking the Senator to the Skuldda embassy. Could you also please give us a hovercar straight in front of the door of embassy? I don't care if you have to drive over the pavement.
Jaicen then tried to go into the embassy, hopefully not interrupted by the press, which might have seen that Jaicen saved them. He actually hoped the press would go to a window to look at the bomb site.
Arriving at the embassy Jaicen said to Tera.: "We are going to enter a hovercar, which I hope is going to be parked in front of the door. Let's check the driver thoroughly and then tell him of our destination. Nathan is safe and underway."

Eyeing the tooka suspiciously, 'senator Salixa' was not sure that grabbing the cute animal would have the desired effect. Fortunately for both the tooka and herself, Jaicen interrupted the situation.
Not having heard anything of the exchange between the other two jedi, she looks at the Jaicen with an expression of surprise.
"Errr, there's no way I am getting in a hovercar with this many bombs around. Besides, wouldn't that be very suspicious? The senate building is not that big, and there are only a few embassies not in the building. Where in Unity City would we go?"
Then, she added in a helpful tone, "And even if this was a good plan, you are going to have to check the driver before you are letting senator Salixa into the car."
She did start walking with Jaicen towards the door though, happy to leave the potential tooka-is-in-her-hair-mess behind her.
((OOC: @ST: Chancellor Dewa Lanadi uses senate security to secure the chancellor's office since they are the ones actually allowed to carry weapons inside the senate building — and it would be a very bad political move to ditch senate security. With nobody to stop him, Nathan soon was able to bring 'Tera' to the Chancellors office - outside the door were two guards from Senate Security, who let Nathan and 'Tera' enter, though without an appointment, they wouldn't just get access to the Chancellor herself, instead having to wait in the lobby.
Jaicen and 'Senator Salixa' left the Tooka behind, who decided to lay down and keep an eye on things from its vantage point above, but who seemed otherwise satisfied that there was no need to jump into anyone's hair.
((OOC: Nathan can attempt to talk to the chancellor, though he probably doesn't need to if all he wants to do is check if the communication was real - he can confirm that with the office of the Chancellor. I don't know where Jaicen and 'Senator Salixa' are going right now, so I can't post more on that until you two decide on a plan))

Not exactly happy with the strange plans her Jedi counterparts are cooking up, but not in a position to make them change their mind either, 'senator Salixa' goes along with Jaicen's plan for now.
((OOC: I reserve the right to abort the "going along" in a reaction to Jaicen and go do my own thing if it turns out that Tera does not like what happens next.))

((OOC: I am restrained by not knowing how the place looks like.))
"I will check the driver beforehand, good idea. Furthermore this is a distraction while Nathan goes to the office. He knows of our plan." With that said Jaicen went outside with Tera when the hovercar arrived and checked the driver first, especially on Ultramarine tattoo's. He then went into the car with Tera.

Tera Inogo - PC
((OOC: I am going to leave the explaining of the situation up to Mercury, since I think he'll do a better job of it. But I am reasonably sure that there has been somewhat of a misunderstanding of the situation (at least by Jaicen's player) for a about 12 posts up from this one; it might be good to explain the serious bigness of the Senate building and the layout of embassies in relation to the building...))
Getting 'Tera' past the guards as quickly as possible, Nathan enters the offices of the Chancellor. Though he is fairly certain that not everyone in Senate Security is compromised, it is practically impossible for him to make out which is friend and which is foe.
Walking up to the front desk he started talking to the desk clerk.
"I am Padawan Nathan Miodrass Asillion. I need to know if the Chancellor has convened the Senate."

Mercury - Storyteller
((OOC: The Senate Building is the tallest structure in the city, with the main Senate Hall at the top floor in an enormous Colosseum-like bowl, with seating area's for all member worlds arranged in four rings, plus room for civilian observers and press. In the many floors below are offices and various embassies, each employing hundreds of staff and containing rooms for meetings, intelligence, computers, etc. Around the central tower are additional wings and connected buildings for other government offices and embassies, and there are huge hallways and hundreds of elevators, escalators, etc, connecting various parts. Keep in mind, the Senate is the centre of government for hundreds of billions of people of hundreds of different races.))
Jaicen was able to secure a transport car to traverse the distance within the Senate Building itself - usually these would be used for carrying cargo or transporting people who got sick or were otherwise unexpectedly in need of aid. Though it really wasn't intended for it, it wasn't entirely inaccurate that 'Senator Salixa' qualified at the moment. It might make Tera question how she -did- cover the distances in this building normally?
Regardless, the vehicles driver definitely wasn't an ultramarine - after all, droids weren't usually ultramarines. Actually, they hadn't seen any ultramarines in this conflict yet, though that of course didn't preclude them being there. The vehicle got Jaicen and Tera to their destination safely.
--
As they were travelling, Nathan had already arrived at the Chancellors office with 'Tera', who made an effort to have a serious look on her face and look like she was watching out for problems to lightsaber into submission.
"The Chancellor called for the Senate to convene not long ago" the Veolian woman behind the desk confirmed - communications positions were usually women in Veolian Culture and here was no exception "I'm afraid you'll have to make an appointment."
((OOC: I'm not sure what Nathans plan is, but if he's fine with it, I am okay with you three meeting up when its convenient for you all))

Although droids aren't usually ultramarines, they might suicide bombs. so Jaicen made sure this droid was neither of them.
While within the hovercar he said to Tera: "We are going to the Veolian embassy, I will message the senate security that there has been a change of plans half-way and we will not go to the other embassy." He then messages Nathan: Have you already arrived?
Halfway he messages the security: Change of plans, we're going to the veolian embassy and tells the drivingdroid to go to the veolian embassy.
