Jaicen waited patiently on Ariana's explanation and then responded with: "Shall we first fix Trigiel, Master Ariana, and give those guys to rest, before we continue our talks?" Jaicen got somewhat agitated deciphering Trigiel's words and clearly wanted a minute alone with Trigiel: "While I help to repair you, Master Trigiel, could I ask you some advice?"

"Well, as sa*zzzggg*d," Trigiel sais to Ariana with a tone of impatience, "the rad*zzzggg*at*zzzggg*on was very rad*zzzggg*at*zzzggg*ng and *zzzggg*s now rad*zzzggg*at*zzzggg*ng our bod*zzzggg*es w*zzzggg*th rad*zzzggg*at*zzzggg*on. So fly us to med*zzzggg*cal care r*zzzggg*ght now, wh*zzzggg*le Ja*zzzggg*cen and *zzzggg* f*zzzggg*x my head and Darones keeps the scouts company because, maybe *zzzggg* wasn't clear enough, but the tauntauns are dy*zzzggg*ng and so w*zzzggg*ll Darones and *zzzggg* *zzzggg*f you don't go fly*zzzggg*ng us to a hosp*zzzggg*tal."

Then the cyborg turns to Jaicen: "Yes Ja*zzzggg*cen, let's go f*zzzggg*x my head. *zzzggg* am always ava*zzzggg*lable for adv*zzzggg*ce."

Trigiel goes towards his quarters, fully expecting everyone following his plan.

With the basic repair kit and Jaicen's help, Trigiel starts to fix his head.

((OOC: I suspect this to be a simple ship, so there is no engineering bay or something. If there is a more suitable location for Trigiel than his quarters to go to for fixing his head, he goes to there.))

"You understood what he said?" Jaicen said while looking at the others. "He wants to go to a medical center, because the radiation might be killing the Tauntauns, Darones, Trigiel and the scouts."

With a nod Jaicen, TG-100 then followed Trigiel to his quarters and helped him as much as possible to fix his head. He focused first on possible life threatening damage the radiation had inflicted. Then, Jaicen would like to start fixing the speech errors first, since they were quite irritating. He tries to modulate the zzzzzgrrrt sounds out first.

While Jaicen was doing that he asked: "Master, what is the Jedi's exact stance on a possible romance? And what should I do? You see, I've met this person, an advisor to the bisshop and she seems nice. I've seen her on the space station while we were gathering supplies and before that on our previous mission, I think you'd like her, she is even being called a Lady for some reason! She's shown interest in my robots and is one of the first normal persons who actually seems interested in me, as a person, and not as a handicapped Jedi. She invited me when the mission is over to talk a bit, shall I do this, and would you be willing to join?"

With this whole story out in the open, Jaicen waited patiently for a reply from his master.

((OOC: @Trigiel: you are correct on both counts. While there is a kind of engineering section of the ship, it's about engineering the main engine — and that's not the kind of workshop you'd want to repair your head in.

Though circumstances are not great and you do not have access to a cyberneticists' workshop, you can effect some repairs. Both checks: approved (barely, and only by working together).))

Trigiel and Jaicen move over to Trigiel's quarters. Though small, there was just enough room for Trigiel and Jaicen to fit in there. Together they start working on fixing Trigiel's head.

Jaicen soon discovers that it was only Trigiel's head-segment that was really damaged by direct radiation, and none of the life-support systems were damaged. Trigiel's brain, safely ensconced inside his thickly armored torso was in no danger.

Working together — Trigiel knows from experience that it is very helpful to have someone that can tinker with the back of your head — the two Jedi perform some emergency repairs on the head. After about fifteen minutes of tinkering, they have mostly fixed the voice modulator, there was only a little glitching whenever Trigiel tries to say "I think my head is fi*zzzggg*ed."

They had neither the equipment, nor the spare parts, to fix the other systems. So Trigiel would have to make do with his backup visual sensors. And unfortunately their tinkering on his voice modulator affected his audio-processing nodes, and they seem to be starting to play up as well. Every once in a while he hears the soothing sounds of white static coming from the distant left... So the need to get to a proper workshop with proper tools, while less imminent, is still there.

((OOC: @Trigiel: As said earlier, you'll need a workshop to fully repair. The repairs help delay further problems and make communication much easier, but you are still at -2 Vision until proper repairs can be made.))

As Jaicen went to fix Trigiel, or least give it a try, Darones remained behind with Ariana.

"Yes," he said as a comment on Jaicen's earlier remarks about them and the Tauntaun's, "It would probably be good to seek some medical attention for both Trigiel, the animals and myself. The levels of radiation were quite high and we've stayed for as long as we deemed safe, but our estimates may very well be wrong.

I'll make sure the scouts and animals are secure and comfortable in the cargo bay, and then I'll come back to help you navigate while you fly us ? or would you like to remain here longer? " He then asked Ariana.

Why didn't you say something directly... I guess Trigiel was trying to tell us...

"Let me see how you are doing. However we should leave here anyway. Can somebody else pilot us out of here while I find out how bad the radiation damage is?"

Ariana quickly looked for her geiger counter. She used it to scan Darones and get an idea of the residual radiation.

After the scan she said "Let me get some of your blood to see how bad it is."

Unless Darones objected she took a small blood sample that she studied for radiation damage.

After Darones she did the same for one of the taun tauns to get an idea how they were doing.

((OOC: So... Darones is making a navigation check, while Ariana is not flying and asks if somebody else can fly. Since I do not want to play someone's character (and since it has been a week since Ariana's post) I am going with the ship not going anywhere for now.

Ariana, using her geiger counter and her extensive medical insights, determines that both Darones and the Taun tauns received a significant dose of radiation. Were Darones not a Jedi it would not have been wise to make the journey. He is not in immediate danger, but he will need medical attention when they get back to the Union.

The taun taun, with its significantly higher body mass, can handle the radiation. It will have to rest for at least a week, but will come out healthy.

"Plug th*zzzggg*s one *zzzggg*n there would you?" Trigiel said while handling a wire and pointing to a metal pin.

"But to answer your actual question: One of the important aspects of a Jedi s*zzzggg* to let go of personal dei*zzzggg*res. Only then you will be able to serve the greater good. Ths*zzzggg* means a romantic relationship s*zzzggg* ill advs*zzzggg*ed since ths*zzzggg* s*zzzggg* quite the oppoi*zzzggg*te."

Trigiel quickly pulled out the wire again. "That d*zzzggg*dn't had the r*zzzggg*ght result... Here try these two and bypass that l*zzzggg*ttle converter."

"Ho*zzzggg*ever, it is not *zzzggg*rong to hold close friendships and se*zzzggg*ual desires.

...Revert the modulator will you?... there I believe my head is fi*zzzggg*ed." ... "Let's leave it like this for now. We need better equipment to fi*zzzggg* the last details.'

"Where was I? Oh yes: Opposite to what some believe, it is even allowed to have se*zzzggg*, since this is a natural and important aspect of most species and often an e*zzzggg*tremely stress relief, rela*zzzggg*ation and anti-depressant.

It is good to hear you've met a nice person, and I am certainly willing to meet her. Are you certain though you would like to build a romantic relationship with her? It seems that there is quite the difference in age. Don't take this wrong, but if she called a lady and is being an adviser to the bishop, I suspect the difference in age might be problematic. It even seems to me that this is the first time that you have had a normal conversation with something about something of your interest. Might it be that, because this is uncommon to you, you have a slight overreaction and mistake 'someone nice' with 'romantic partner'? Maybe take your time? She can be called a lady for many reasons, one of which is because she is of the female gender. Or the others hold her in high esteem, she is a adviser of the bishop after all. However, I am glad to hear that you've met someone who you can talk to in a normal way. It is important to hold normal relationships to people.

Sorry began to rumble.

My advice is this: If she invited you to talk, go talk to her. Spend some time with the people who you feel comfortable around but don't confuse these feelings of comfort with desire. And most of all: keep a clear mind. There are people out there who have their own agendas and manipulate the feelings of others to get what the want. So don't fall in their traps."

after fixing his head, Trigiel realised that they were still standing still.

"I feel we are not yet moving. Why aren't we moving?" Trigiel said over the comm.

((OOC: @Brend: I am inclined to invite Trigiel to meet Lady Vitress after the mission, would be something Jaicen would do, however oocly I know she is probably the super duper evil girl of doom, and you might want the rest of the Jedi not to know this. Of course you can always say we can't reach her or something, but I'd like to check with you first before I make my post.))

((OOC: @Jaicen: Good catch. I think it would be beneficial for the story if Trigiel does not get any further information on Jaicen's romantic interest. Trigiel learning more (like her name...) would set in motion certain events based on Trigiel's reaction (which, I assure you, he will have), which in turn will very likely prevent Jaicen from any further meaningful interaction with Lady Vitress. It will not break the story, or any follow-up events if this happens; but it might make things less interesting for you right now.

I think a clean option would be for Jaicen to interpret Trigiel's advice as also answering the question of Trigiel coming along. The way I read it, he advises Jaicen to go talk to her — and he does not state that he is planning on coming along. Besides, if Jaicen's intentions are to court the lady, it might not be the best move to bring along a chaperone with the level of social directness that Trigiel regularly exhibits :P

In the end, the choice is up to you — just know that I predict that any further involvement of Trigiel will kill any chance there is for social roleplay with Lady Vitress...))

"That's a keen observation, we'll be shortly though" Darones replied over the comm, not really keen on sharing the reasons why.

With Ariana focused on the medical side of things, Darones worked through the pre-flight quickly and decided that he would wait to a short while to see if Ariana would come back to either fly or help navigate. If she didn't though, he would take their ship up into the air and back the research camp, not very keen on remaining within the storm front any longer.

Jaicen took a while before responding to his master. He first had to analyse all this advise, and he never saw these things in such a way, That's also probably why padawans need knights to train and advice them. Jaicen was also glad he didn't need to hear *grtzzz* the whole time.

"Thank you for your advice, Trigiel. This is why padawans need knights I guess."

"And, I guess you are right and I am overreacting a bit. I think I will still have a meeting with her, but just because someone is nice, and has the same interest doesn't mean we fit in that way. I would like a normal friendly relationship outside of the Jedi group, maybe also so I can relate to normies better? Not that Jedi are weird, but maybe normal people get different issues when they are older and I can learn from that. Or or, maybe she can teach me more about droids!"

Jaicen then noticed they were starting to fly and remarked: "Well, that took a while. I hope Darones doesn't die because of the delay, that'd be bad"

Getting out of the storm proved easier than getting into it, and Darones pulled the vessel out of the storm front. The ride was not smooth, but one they left the storm front it became better. And one-and-a-half hours later, Darones set down the ship near the research camp, next to the two other cargo vessels that were now here.

They could see that the camp was being packed up, and the lead scientists is heading their way. The bishop with him.

"Greetings, Jedi.", the lead scientist starts, "We have found a better spot to set up camp, and with the blessings of the bishop we are moving all our equipment there."

The bishop only nods in approval.

"But before we move, please, do have something to eat and share your findings with us insofar as you have discovered anything."

He then leads the way back to few tents left, the "cantina" tent being the largest of them. Inside, there was food and music.

((OOC: It is up to you to determine how much you wish to tell the scientists. There won't be any pushback or follow-up questions if you simply state that you found little of relevance; the scientists have seen you work, but will understand that you are keeping silent for a good reason. And the bishop won't know the difference.

This is the final "event" of the mission. Once you are headed back to Union the mission is over; though of course, you can always fly here later to meet someone if you want.))

Jaicen looked impatient at his master, since he wanted to tell the bisshop and the scientists everything they've discovered, he also hoped to learn more on what exactly Darones and Trigiel had discovered. But Jaicen had enough restraint to wait untill Trigiel started talking himself.

"Jaicen and I have repaired the satellite that was collecting seismical data in orbit around the moon. Together with the local scientists here we studied the recent seismic activity and found a pattern in the earthquakes. We made a prediction of where and when the next earthquake is likely to occur."

When landed, Trigiel first turned his attention to Darones: "Padawan Darones, how are you holding up? It appears you are feeling better than I anticipated, do you or the tauntauns require immediate medical aid?"

After Darones answers, Trigiel acknoledge the answer and turns his attention towards the scientists and bishop: "Greetings. Good to hear of the progress.

In addition to the seismic activity, We have also found that the origin of the earthquake is likely within the centre of the moon. As in, it appears there is some sort of artificial device of enormous proportions emitting a giant laser-like beam of roughly thirty meter wide into the air from underneath the surface. We made measurements to further identify the nature of the beam, but this will require some time to interpret the data."

If Darones sais he needs immediate medical aid, Trigial adds: "Also the radiation levels where dangerously high, so the tauntauns and padawan Darones require medical aid."

[Darones Rei]

"I'm fine for now," Darones replied to Trigiel's inquiry about his condition, "but before leave I should like to get checked out first. I don't think the level of radiation are too high, but it might be best to have a doc check it out."

"As for our findings," He then continued on from Trigiel's brief summary, "they are intriguing to say the least.. I would surely like to investigate them further."

((OOC: I was under the impression that the Jedi were going to say/discuss something more, but I'm happy to move this along.))

"I see.", was the reply of the lead scientist. "Well, that is strange to say the least. As far as I know there are no underground structures on the moon capable of generating that much energy, let alone to project it into the atmosphere."

The bishop only nodded his agreement.

"Will you be travelling back to the Union now?", the lead scientist asks.

"We should report back to the Union and get Darones his medical check up."

Ariana looked at the others. "I propose we prepare our ship and start the journey home. Do you guys have anything to add? "

[Fecta Trigiel]

"We are grateful for the assistance you have provided." Trigiel said to the bishop while making a small bow. "We will make a full report and share the details of the data. Once we have a better idea of what we are dealing with we might be able to finally lay the moon peacefully to rest again."

Then the cyborg turns to the lead scientist: "Is there anything you would like to discuss while we are here? We gave a brief description. Else I agree with my fellow knight, Ariana and prepare our journey home."

[Darones Rei]

"Actually," Darones said to both the Jedi and the scientists, " Once I check out medically, I'd be more then willing to stay and share our findings with you. That is, if that is permitted by the Council."

Darones looked at both Trigiel and Ariana to get a sense of how they felt about it.

"I think the events here are to important to just let go... and perhaps we, or some of us, are here for a reason."

"You will be most welcome here, Jedi.", the bishop replies, "But please make sure you are healthy." he continues after a moment.

"Those of you that wish to return are welcome to stay with us.", the head scientist adds.

((OOC: The only thing left to do is head back, get medical/maintainence checkups, and report your findings to the Jedi Council. I think those things are not interesting enough to play out, and suggest you write up the mission report so that I can hand out rewards!
