[Jedi Master Qun Treen]

After the concerns expressed by the Jedi accompanying the sentientarian aid delegation to the United Moons of Tunuarana, the Jedi Council asks for volunteers to travel back to the United Moons of Tuanarana in 14 -8 to investigate the source of the moonquakes on Kons.

Those that are willing to participate should make sure to read through Delegation to the United Moons of Tunuarana the mission report. This is a politically sensitive mission, those interested are adviced to make sure they read up on Tunuaranan culture and customs.

((OOC: This is a follow-up from [14 -8] Delegation to the United Moons of Tunuarana.

I aim for a twice per week posting frequency, with ST posts on mondays and thursdays. The reward will be 2 depending on several factors, including success and activity.

This mission has no limit on Jedi numbers, but I will have the group split up if there are more than three Jedi participating.))

Ariana has just returned from her retreat. When she returned to the Jedi temple this mission was the first thing that caught her attention. It is hard to believe that already a few weeks have passed. Although she seems well rested it is noticeable that something is off. Ariana tries to hide it from the Jedi Master but is aware that she can't.

Ariana is the first to sign up. She was there when this all started and is determined to continue the mission.

"I will join the mission and continue what we started."

Ariana remained silent for a few seconds.

"Master I would like some guidance when you have the time."

((OOC: Sure! If I get too many players I'll sort it out then -- the master is very capable in handling stuff like that ^_^

Jaicen was also present on the first mission and when he hears about the new mission he eagerly contacts Jedi master Qun Treen if he might be allowed to join the mission. He also asks his Knight, Trigiel, for permission and if he'd also be interested in going.

"Jedi Master Qun Treen, I'd love to sign up for this mission, since I have been on the first mission towards the moon and know the culture of the moons somewhat. Do you think I'd make for a suitable candidate to find the source of the earthquakes?"

[Fecta Trigiel]

"I would like to join the mission as well."

[Jedi Master Qun Treen]

The Jedi master nods at the arrivals, and seems to wait for a moment to see if others will still be arriving.

((OOC: I'm closing the joining phase on Monday and will start on the main story then.))

[Darones Rei]

Darones took a while to consider his position with regards to this follow up mission, before joining in on the mission briefing to return to the Moons once more.

"Master, I would like to offer my services once more. I believe the people of the Moons are entitled to further assistance in dealing with and recovering from the past events."

[Jedi Master Qun Treen]

((OOC: Ok. We'll be with 4 players. If necessary I might split this up into two groups of two, both on a different avenue of investigation.))

"I think you four will make an excellent team for this task."

The master turns to Ariana.

"Ariana, is it something you think the others could also benefit from hearing? If not, please do visit me in the meditation chambers later."

To make sure Ariana could simply remain silent if she did not want to discuss things right now, the master simply continued on with the next matter.

"Do you have any questions with regard to this mission?"

[Ariana Danacia]

"I have questions about the force. Should I be able to control life and dead with the force? After my recent studies and meditation I have gained more control on the living force drastically improving my ability to heal creatures.

After my meditation in the jungle on Praeto I was even capable of healing a small lizard that was breathing its last breath. If I would not have intervened it would have succumbed to its wounds. I belief I was tested by the force.

However this test gave me questions on the possibilities. Am I allowed to change the faith of creatures that would otherwise have certainly moved on? I would like some advice on this responsibility.

Maybe this is something that we should discuss after the mission. It is a very personal matter, however I belief some of these questions are universal and help define the difference between light and dark."

((OOC: ((Check: 20 = 10 Force Level + 3 Force Heal (Living Force) + 7 Energy -- I took the liberty of allowing usage of the living force on animals, this is not clear in the text but I feel it should be possible. Please correct me if this is wrong.))))

Trigiel visibly looks surprised by Ariana her question. While he was busy putting pieces of metal together, Ariana is already learning to control life. Trigiel couldn't help to feel a little envious of the praetorian.

Jaicen looks surprised. He did not know these things were possible, but on the other hand, he doesn't know a lot about healing. Since most of his contact with healing bots and people was when he was unconscious on the operation table. He was interested in what the master had to say in response.

((OOC: I would like to point out that the Living Force mentioned in the Force Heal (Unifying Force) is one of the three main philosophies about the force. It's not a specific type of force, nor is it part of a larger overarching Force that contains all other types of force. The two types of Healing powers are derived from the different philosophies of the Force, instead of different aspects.

That's not to say that Ariana can not have her own ideas about these philosophies ^_^))

Master Qun Treen looks at Ariana.

"I suggest we discuss that after the mission?"

The master looks at the assembled Jedi.

"So, you have no questions then? Good. In that case, a ship will be arranged for you in hangar 3B tomorrow morning."

For the record: on thursday, the ship will be leaving, and everyone that hasn't posted will have minimal equipment.))

Trigiel goes for his usual equipment. Aside from this, he studies the environmental circumstances on the moon Kons outside the cities. If possible he makes sure his body is up to specs so he can walk around without a special suit. In any case the cyborg Jedi requests a radiation suit. The report mentions death by radiation, so if they are going to explore there, it is best to be protected.

((OOC: I don't know the environment on Kons and therefore how much I am stretching the abilities of being a cyborg. I imagine Trigiel can withstand some radiation to a limit.

"Yes Master, I'll be ready come morning" Darones replied after hearing the scheduled departure time and date and retired to his quarters to read up on the customs and experiences from his last assignment there. As he remembered the people of the United Moons had a government system and set of believes that was ... perculiar and of some interest.

"Very well Master. I will focus on the mission now."

Ariana left for her quarters and directly went to sleep. The next morning she woke up bright and early. Ariana collected her gear and waited in Hangar 3B for the others.

The old retrofitted XS Stock Light Freighter waiting for the four Jedi is a converted small trading vessel. The hold has space for about ten cubic meters of cargo. Instead of the normal hyperdrive it has an old but reliable long-jump hyperdrive model, and the thruster system is capable of fast atmospheric manoeuvres at a passable speed even with half a hold of cargo.

After everyone stashed their equipment and gear aboard, the Jedi programmed in the coordinates for the Tunuarana system and set off. The route through the Union was uneventful, and after two days of fast jumps over the Bozzy Spine veered onto the Deominian branch to traverse sector 13 -7. From here they would leave Union space and continue on into sector 14 -8 towards the United Moons of Tunuarana.

The days of travel through 14 -8 without the support of hyperspace lanes, and without a good holonet connection to the Union, is a good time for the Jed to discuss their plans and to talk over how they are going to approach this mission.

((OOC: I think that because Jaicen and Ariana effectively requested this mission, this is a good time for your characters to think up a way to approach the mission. Since we are now with 4 Jedi, I'm hoping you guys are going to think up a nice division of work into two groups of two ^_^

I plan on having a two-week discussion, and then moving onto the arrival. If you want to continue on earlier, please indicate so in an OOC note.))

While going through the mission once again, Trigiel suddenly realises: "Wait, do we actually have contact information for this mission? I totally forgot to check."

[Darones Rei]

"I know I didn't ask," Darones replied to Trigiel's question,

"but since Ariana, Jaicen and I have been to the moons before, we still have some usefull contacts we can approach. I suggest that we first seek out the Duke Xeironymous once more and formally request permission to further investigate the earthquakes on Kons. Since he has already given it, I recon that a simple message to the Grand Bishop Nanteek Adool of shall Chaundra, stating that we have returned to continue our investigation should normally be enough, but it cannot hurt to check.

After that is granted, which im sure it will, I propose that we seek out our friends from the science camp who helped us out last time. And it might also be wise to contact the bishop of Mo'Irin once more, in order to ensure that we do not misinterpreted the meaning of the Gods and do things properly."

"I agree with Darones Rei. Let us send a message to the Duke that we have returned to continue our investigation. Let us also ask for aid in spiritual matters. Currently we have two possible leads:
one possible lead is the temple of Si'Aalin, god of vulcano's. Several dead, irradiated, people were found and a journal was also found. They claimed to have found the source of the earthquakes.
the other, small, possible lead is the temple of Kri'efna, that temple was destroyed by an earthquake. I prefer to got to the temple of Si'Aalin."

"To me the temple of Si'Aalin also sounded the most promising lead.

Ariana, what do you think?"

"To me contacting the bishop of Mo'Irin is the most logical. Since we already received his help before he is the most logical choice.

Furthermore we could ask the free people of the Mu Collective, they are the reason we came to the moons in the first place and they might be inclined to assist us.

Finally I agree we should probably visit the temple of Si'Aalin, however I would probably not start here since we might need local help to convince these people that we are honorable."
