"Well, if Salia doesn’t like to get wet, she wouldn’t sit on the fountain." Trigiel said with a smile created with his lower two headflaps. "Salia, we know where the first crystal is," the cyborg said to the Twi’lek youngling, "when you put your training to good use, it should be easy for you to find it as well, and obtain it. I will give you a hint: It looks like a crystal."

While Salia is going to do her Salia thing, Trigiel turned back to Jaicen: "By the way, Jaicen Heidoss, you said that you would like that hoverball, Master Qun Treen had. You realize that the ball is meant for Salia right?"

Salia's lekku curled together when Trigiel spoke to her, listening, then following the arm of Jaicens droid. Within moments she spotted the crystal as well, and with a cry of "WEEEE!" she raced along the edge to get to a place where she could get onto the lowest pillar, jumping onto it without really planning any further ahead, and then looking around as to where to jump next.

"It -does- look like a crystal!" she concluded excitedly as she tried to figure out her next move to get up to the top of the highest pillar.

((OOC: I think I may need to take a check, but Salia does not actually have stats at this time (obviously because she is so powerful she doesn't fit in the regular system :P). Would it be appropriate for me to make them at this point, or do I just make an educated guess? What would be the right choice here?))

((OOC: I think that it would not hurt for Salia to have actual stats, which would allow her a little more participation in actual Jedi missions. However, based on Salia's current record of behaviour those would probably be far and few in between.... Of course, it is up to you whether you actually want to receive or spend (:xp).))

((OOC: For now, assume that the actual grabbing of the crystals is within the Realm of Salia's ability, though some of them might be a bit difficult because Master Qun Treen believes in challening his pupils.))

"Yeah I do know the hoverball is for her, the child in me says I should get one too though". Says Jaicen with a faint smile. Looking at the pillars and observing Salia jump capacities, Jaicen tries to point Salia to the right pillar. If he has a laserpointer in his possession he will use that, otherwise he will just point and shout.

Salia nimbly jumps from column to column. Not letting the lack of planning get in the way of grabbing the prize: a small blue crystal. Just as she grabs the crystal Salia's foot slips from the column! Fortunately, Salia is a natural in tumbling, and somehow manages to turn her uncontrolled tumble into a sommersault jumping of the highest column and landing next to Trigiel, balancing on the edge of the pool of water.

The spectacle did not go unnoticed by others in the vincinity, and Salia's antics were met with grins from some, and frowns from others.

In a reflex the TG-100 droid raised his hands as if to catch Salia, but it relaxes after Jaicen notices that she managed to get her footing again.
"Nice move" Jaicen said somewhat relieved and with a kind voice. "It almost looked like that fall was intentional. Are there any heart attack insurances around here?"

"Ow, could I see the crystal, Salia?"
If he obtains the crystal from Salia, Jaicen investigates the crystal with his eyes closed and hopes to find a link with the other crystals. Is it a natural crystal or a synthetic and how does the force flows through this crystal if he could detect it so easily.
After the investigation he gives it back to Salia.

"One day, you will become a fine acrobat, Salia. Come, Jaicen if you have seen enough of the gardens, let us continue to the mediation chambers. The masters are often in one of those." Then Trigiel said to Jaicen: "You know, my training tells me to tell you that you should not grave for personal belongings like hoverballs, but that would be hypocritical of me."

"I have seen enough of the gardens, although I will surely come back here one day if I need to relax."
"Okay, sounds like an decent idea, Salia are you coming with us?" And if the crystal tells the way to Jaicen: "I think the next crystal is over there also".

"I know I should not crave for personal belongings, but for hoverballs I make exceptions" Says Jaicen jokingly as the droid winks to Salia.

Jaicen discovers that the crystal is a synthetic one, and has no special properties whatsoever. There is no special connection through the Force, nor does it help him to find the other crystals.

Salia needed a moment to balance herself on the edge of the pool, but finally got herself stabilized, beaming happily

"I got it! I got it!" she quickly moved to show Jaicen, letting him take the small blue crystal "It doesn't look like a tree at all!" Salia explained, as if that required further clarification.

"We can share the hoverball!" Salia promised Jaicen "It will be more fun to play with it together anyway!" she noted, before moving to run off towards the meditation chambers at Trigiels instructions, almost disappearing from sight, but then running all the way back to Jaicen and Trigiel

"When we get there, we have to be quiet, and you're not allowed to run of play or climb on the statues or draw on the people meditating with a permanent marker" she counted the forbidden things on her fingers "or make a mess, or bring snacks, or watch holoshows on your datapad while meditating, or scoot along the floor or make noises or ask "how about now" more than a hundred times or accidentally set things on fire, not even by accident" at this point, Salia had ran out of fingers which made her quite sure she had covered everything.

"Otherwise they will put you in a meditation chamber and make you meditate and they will never ever ever ever ever let you out again. That's like four 'ever's, which is like forever!"

The temple, being very large, actually features several areas for meditation: some rooms at the top of the towers, a larger area for meditation on the ground levels, and then some smaller meditation cells in the underground levels. When someone talks about the Meditation Chambers without saying which ones, they usually mean the larger one.

And so, the trio made its way to the meditation chambers.

After they arrive, it becomes clear to Jaicen why Salia has such a long list of things that one is not allowed to do. The hall itself is large enough to fit several shuttlecraft and from its sides branch smaller hallways and alcoves. The large hall is carefully arranged, with some hanging curtains used as impromptu walls effectively dividing the larger hall into smaller and larger areas along its edge. With each curtained alcove having the wall of the large hall as its back wall and curtains as its side walls, the front remains open. The curtains offer a measure of sound damping and the opportunity to sit alone with some idea of separation between you and the rest of the hall, while still not being completely cut off and separated. The hall has higher and lower areas of floor, and several large blocks and seats were arranged in the hall as well.

The meditation hall was, as can be expected, in use by several Jedi. Among the Jeid here, they spot the master Screetor meditating alone on a high block at the back of the hall. Trigiel sees the mon calamari sneakily open his eyes for a moment to look at the new arrivals in the hall, after seeing Salia, he smiles a little. A small group of initiates is softly explained the basics of a meditation form by a jedi knight; most children paying careful attention as the knight instructs them. There are other Jedi in the hall, but most seem to meditation just fine.

The crystal was nowhere to be seen, and with this amount of foam blocks, curtains and alcoves, finding it here would be nigh impossible without some way of narrowing the search area down.

((OOC: I quickly checked your characters' pages to determine who sees what.))

Jaicen looks around and is clearly impressed by the buildings the Jedi have erected in his absence. And with a wisper Jaicen says to Trigiel: "Who is the mon calamari Jedi, who just smiled at Salia? And I do not see the Crystal. Maybe this Mon Calamari knows more, since he smiled at Salia?"

((OOC: For the record -- this building has been standing here for a long time. Longer than Jaicen has lived with his 22 years. So while technically true that it was erected "in his absence", that turn of phrase makes it seem as if they built it while you were away training... Not sure if you meant it that way :P))

((OOC: Well, yes, Unity City itself is roughly 50 years old. But he Jedi have been around for a while -- though you're right about the Jedi Temple in Unity City, that building is most likely about 50 years old as well... I actually never stopped to think about how old it actually is. Still older than Jaicen though :P))

Salia made a quick scan around the hallway for the crystal, getting distracted for a moment by the various people there.

"Do you think the crystal is in the meditations of anyone? In class they said that when you meditate you can visualise until you see the object inside your mind, but if it is inside your mind it would be pretty messy to get it out and I don't really know how to perform surgery, though I suppose maybe you could ask them to take it with them when they leave, though I suppose you don't ever really leave your mind, though if you did, it would probably be smart to make sure you know where you left it since sometimes I forget things and it would be bad if I forgot my mind because then how would I find it, and how can you act without a mind anyway, though I suppose a lot of people do that already since when you ask they will tell you they don't mind, even though sometimes they do, which is just like a lie, but its to make someone feel better so its a colourless lie and those are okay, but only if its necessary otherwise its rude and you should not do it, as it would confuse the truth and then where would we be, I mean it would just get really complicated and you would never know whether what someone said was true and then classes really would not make any sense because everything you learn there might not be true and you would never know that you are allowed to tell certain lies but not others and you would have to figure out the distinction on your own even though there is not really a good guideline right now, which means you sort of already do and I suppose most people figure it out eventually but what if they do not, that could be pretty ba..."

"SSSSH!"

Someone told Salia, who's volume had steadily been increasing as she got more excited about whatever it was she was rambling around now, causing the girl to quickly go quiet.

Trigiel wanted to stop Salia's rambling but some-one was quicker.

The cyborg-knight tried if Jaicen his droid had a radio communicator by talking over the radio "That is Jedi Master Screetor. A very kind and wise master."

If Jaicen did not respond, Trigiel repeated his reply with dimmed voice. He continued either via radio or via normal speech: "You can say hello to Screetor and ask for guidance, which is always nice to do, or try to search for the crystal yourself and not disturb the master. It doesn't really matter

((OOC: I think I am allowed to have a communicator in my droid ?))

"That name rings a bell, I have seen him teaching me before as a youngling"Jaicen responded to Trigiel, on the communicator or with a low voice from his droid.

Jaicens With Salia quiet, Jaicen and his droid walked/hovered silently towards Jedi Master Screetor and with a dim voice Jaicens TG-100 tried to get his attention. "Dear Master Screetor, If I may introduce myself, I am Jaicen, and this is my droid" While the droid pointed at the respective persons. "You might remember me as a youngling several years ago, and now I am back to continue my training. Together with Salia and Trigiel I am send here by Master Qun Treen to learn more about the Jedi temple and to obtain several crystals, so Salia could get a hoverball, since one should be hidden here, do you know know its place or a way to find it? "

((OOC: Short answer: Yes, but not the way you expect it to work.

Long asnwer: Yes, but it will not do you much good as far as I see it. The Control Machine power allows you to give basic commands. Since transferring voices from your mind to some digital system is in no way the function of the droid I do not count it as a basic command. You do not (yet) have the ability to take over your droid as if it were you, so advanced functions are only usable by actively "pushing all the buttons".

So yes, your droid can have a communicator, but you would simply have to use your droid as if it were a communicator headset or device. That means activate headset, speak to droid, deactivate headset. Which is worse than actually using the headset yourself with voice activation. I suggest using a normal communicator. (Besides, silent communication with a radio is a Cyborg-level perk, which is explained in a short write-a-thon note.)

On an unrelated note the [telepathic] tag and text color is for actually telepathic communications such as with Telepathy (which incidentally, might help you solve the whole communicator equipment thing if you want to). Please use [holo] for radio, holonet and other remote communcation.

Does this clear things up? (I'll post after this issue is cleared up.)))

Master Screetor looked at the droid for a moment, his large eyes drifting a little as he noticed little details about its construction.

"I noticed."

"If you are here to look for a crystal to get Salia a hoverball, is it not easier to simply go out and buy one?"

((OOC: @Jaicen: Do you envision Jaicen as speaking himself, or do you see his droid as some kind of text-to-speech interface with Jaicen using a 'virtual keyboard'?))

"Yes, Master, it would definately be easier to buy one, but the goal of this .. mission ... is to get me acquainted again with several Jedi and the temple. " Jaicen replied quietly. "I'd gladly search myself for the crystal, but I thought it better to ask you first."

((OOC: Depends, I envision Jaicen getting tired a lot when he is talking by himself and often he quickly types what the droid says, or maybe talking could be a part of the Control Machine?.))
