((OOC: Mission report looks good! I handed out mission rewards: 3 (:xp) and a mission completion for the Jedi, 2 (:ip) for the non-jedi participants.

What follows is some roleplay in the hours between the first succesful delivery of supplies and the departure of the Jedi. There is no need to participate.))

The bishop does not seem too interested in explaining the situation to Jaicen, and gives a few non-answers much in the same way a politician would do so. He then makes his excuses and goes to talk to some of the scientists.

In the hours after the bishops inspection the small encampment was quickly abuzz with activity: at first mostly supply crates being dropped off and loaded onto carts. With news of medicine being available many people came from the city to the scientist's camp to get medicine first hand. Several of the scientists and Lady Vitress have been working non-stop since that moment to triage and hand out medicine to those that need it most.

Jaicen approaches her as she takes a break.

"Hello Jedi Jaicen", she greets him.

"After the earthquake? Ehm, I don't know anymore. Probably something irrelevant. If not I'll think of it again later."

"It is. It is very important to me", She touches her pendant for a moment, "It's a gift from someone that knew me once... A token of her appreciation of things yet to come.", as she holds the pendant her voice grows more distant.

"Oh!", she suddenly looks fully alert, "I know! I was going to tell you that I thought your droid reacted very un-droid-like to the earthquake. All other droids I have seen in this time fell over on their faces. Yours didn't."

((OOC: yaeh, my first experience!))
Jaicen let the bisshop's explanation be as it was and Jaicen did not press anything further, "That sounds mystical." Says Jaicen with a faint smile, continuing jokingly. "Ever been tested if you could be a jedi?"

"It reacts very un-droid-like because it contains several parts which allow me to connect to it with the force, it also contains some advanced PID regulators, which I programmed myself. This droid is custom made and not manufactured by the thousands on the same basic design. If you have some free time, after your break, I will show you more what it can do!"

"Furthermore, I still would like to investigate the cause of these earthquakes, are you willing to tag along as a representative of the faith if we are allowed to do the mission?"

When Vitress goes back to handing out goods, Jaicen goes to his fellow Jedi if they are still around and asks: "Is it allowed for me to ask the Jedi council to continue this mission with you and actually research the cause of the earthquake like we promised the Duke?"

"I don't think Jedi are tested... I heard they were chosen by the force. Besides, I'm too old to become a Jedi.", Vitress replies with a smile. "But I don't mind, I already have a calling."

As Jaicen tells her about his handiwork, Vitress looks intently at the droid. She takes her time to look at it, and take in every detail. "Show me some more? I would like that very much, Jaicen. I do not get many opportunities to do fun things."

"I would also love to tag along, but I cannot promise anything right now. I can only come with you if the bishop agrees to letting me come along and if my duties allow me the time to do so."

Before returning to her work, she turned to Jaicen sitting in his hoverchair.

"Thank you for talking to me. Most people ignore me and avoid me."

Then, she quickly kissed Jaicen on the cheek. "Bye Jaicen."

With that, she walked back to her duties.

Jaicen is sure the other Jedi are still around, it's only a matter of finding them.
((OOC: I'm not sure if other players will react. If not, I suggest we wrap this up and Jaicen arranges a follow-up mission in the Jedi temple (which makes it easier for a fresh group of Jedi to come here), otherwise he can always contact a master via their ships communications system.))

Ariana was still around overseeing the distribution of the first shipment and preparing for their departure.

When she noticed that Jaicen was looking for her she walked towards him.

"We should report back to the Jedi Council.

I agree that there is more at play here. I am willing to join you to continue the investigation.

However the Jedi council might have other plans for us."

"Indeed we should,"

Darones added after he came over as well,

"though it does seem wise to continue the investigation into the cause of the earthquakes. I'd be happy to help."

"Allright, if everyone agrees, I will contact the Jedi Masters to ask for their support on a follow-up mission."
"I will write a holo-mail and before I send it, could you check it if it should contain more information?"

Honored Jedi masters,

As you can see we successfully completed our mission to the Tunuarana moons to provide aid to the people in need. We would like to ask for a follow-up mission however. We have several promising leads, as you can read in our rapport, to the cause of the earthquakes and to help these people we would like to investigate the cause further. The Duke of this moon already gave permission to us and further warmer relations between the moons and the Union might be established if we successfully complete this mission.

Might this be possible? Besides the Jedi currently on the planet, We could of course use additional Jedi.

((OOC: To prevent later suprises, I would like to point out that the mission report has not yet been delivered to the Jedi Masters. Usually the handing over of the report is done at the end of the mission, but since you wanted to roleplay a bit before leaving, the report has only OOCly been delivered at this moment... The easiest solution would be to note that you attach the mission report to the message.))

"I see no reason to ask for additional Jedi. If the three of us are willing to continue we should have that part covered.

Unless you actually want individuals with a specific skill-set or additional resources you should ask for this specifically.

In my opinion you should just leave away that last part starting with 'Might this be possible?'.

Don't forget to attach our mission report to the mail. "

((OOC: The request for additional Jedi was that maybe some other players could join. It might not be nice not allowing other jedi to join. Depending on the ST of course.))

"Maybe they have a better Idea who might be suited for such missions in addition. I will omit the last part though. And will attach the mission rapport with the mail."

((OOC: If you are wondering why nothing has happened until now: no one actually sent the message, instead you only talked about sending it.

Even though this may sound a bit pedantic, it is actually relevant that you declare your actions instead of just talk about them IC. If we as STs have to guess when your characters are just discussing, and when your characters actually want to do the thing your character is talking about this will lead to misunderstandings. (For example, when standing next to a Big Self Destruct Button™, if only talking about pushing the button is enough to actually push it, nobody is going to be happy.)

Next time, please declare your action.))

Jaicen entered the text message, and the complete mission report, on their shuttle's communication console. The message was then relayed to the Praetorian cruiser in orbit, which in turn established a direct hyperspace communication channel to the Jedi Temple on Unity. With the message sent, a reply from the temple came back swiftly:

The Jedi Council has received your request and mission report.

The council agrees that finding the cause of these earthquakes would assist in improving relations with the Tunuaranans, but feels that we should not do so without considering the implications of further involvement.

We will deliberate on the best course of action. In the meantime you should return to Unity.

((OOC: I want to: 1) give other players a chance at participating in the mission, 2) combine this with a political plot line.))

((OOC: You are right, I totally forgot that... :S, but I also expected more people to react.))

If nobody objects Jaicen creates a reply with a confirmation that they would arrive and start packing stuff, saying goodbye to everyone and returning with the other Jedi to Unity.
