Ariana tapped her communicator again after receiving the message from Shebi Ajava. "Thank you for the new information I will relay it to our contacts here. The information that we need is currently held by the drug dealing Hutt on the leftmost balcony. The plan was to grab him when the shooting started, but combined with your solution this might be more efficient. We will try to wait for your talk. Hurry up we are running out of time. I will explain the rest now what you just said. Ariana out."

After talking to Shebi she faced back to the group on her table and said to them:
"Shebi just informed me that there are 4 elite slave rebellion soldiers in this cantina, she called them `Ultramarines`. She hopes to talk to them now to make sure that our missions do not collide. We still need to get our target. Lets hope Shebi is fast enough. She does not want to fight these guys so they must be serious business. "

Darones nodded in acknowledgement of Shebi's suggestion, " I'll get ready here to cover you if needed, I don't know precisely whats going on, but I estimate either the security alerts here are just disabled, or they plan to lock everyone in here by shorting out the door circuits. Either way, this could get messy. "

Darones then moved, chair and all, to get a better oversight of the cantina, and looked for any sudden movements or aggressive actions by the 'guys in cloaks' ((OOC: Forvelevel 4, Vision 4)), while he reached for his boltpistol with his left hand. If needed be he planned to push over the table he now sat on to his sides to offer him some cover to shoot or dash forward from, which ever the situation required.

"Me? Planned? I just recognised them! I'm just a regular slave, I'm not involved, don't make me be!" The girl protested pleadingly, though her protest seemed to be more with the strategy than Shebi Ajava's plan to draw attention to them.

As the scene played out before him, Darones kept ready, spotting a fifth figure moving on one of the ventilation rosters in the ceiling above, though the shadow was gone too fast for him to make out exactly who or what it was - it might have been a rat, but if it was, it was a real big one!

--

Ariana meanwhile explained the situation to the duo before her.

"Yes, the Ultramarines, I just told you about them!" Nade stated

"No you didn't!" Ghany protested, sticking out her tongue to Nade.

"Yes I did, I said there was going to be shooting! You're the one that didn't tell them they are after the same guy as we are." Nade countered.

"This is a mess!" Ghany observed. Nade nodded in agreement and together the two of them looked at Ariana and Nebesnogo, as if expecting them to solve the problem right on the spot.

"Well you could have told us that sooner." Nebesnogo is looking less than pleased with the situation.

"We have three options it seems grab him with great speed and get out breaking our cover. Shooting them and getting into a big fire fight or making a deal with them."

hearing the slave girl call out he says "Maybe the captain can pull it off. think you can inform her?"

After listening to the duo Ariana's face became grim. When Nebesnogo finished his question she said: "I guess we have no choice but to inform Shebi again..."
Ariana tapped her communicator. "Our contacts failed to mention us a couple of things. They were already aware of the Ultramarines and they just told us that the Ultramarines are after the same guy as we are. Are you still going to talk to them?"

Darones remained in his position, but his right hand now went for his light-saber. There was obviously something going on, and he didn't like the fact that somebody had just sneaked past them in the ceiling above.

He tapped his communicator and informed the others: " There is a fifth person, moving through the vent shafts in the ceiling above us, I'm not sure, but if I am to guess, he's going to make a move towards the Hutt. We need a plan, and we need it fast. "

Ajava's face clouded after hearing the torrent of information from her companions. Some more surprises like this, and the mission would be well on it's way to become her new 'most sticky mission'.

Directing her attention to the girl in her lap she whispered: "Very well, I won't get you involved. But I still need you to help me distract the Wookie."

Shebi Ajava stands up holding the slave, timing it so the Wookie just glanced her way when she and the slave pressed into each other. ((OOC: Force Level 5 + Intuition 4 + Circumstance 1; Circumstance: Wookie was checking her out earlier))

After letting the girl go Shebi Ajava walked over towards the alcove she spotted earlier, nearer the table with the two ultramarines.

She calmed herself and concentrated, using the force to let her mind reach out towards the nearest ultramarine. She formed the words in her mind, and let them flow on force: "I'm the blue girl in the alcove, I'm one of four Jedi hunting the Hutt on the balcony. We need to talk." Shebi Ajava:

The slave girl gently kissed Shebi Ajava, slowly sliding out of her arms and back to her duties (conveniently duties not in the common room) as the blue Padawan made her way to the alcove.

Nebesnogo and Ariana:

Nade nodded to Nebesnogo's comment. "Yes, we probably should have. This is all your fault!" he looked at Ghany who seemed most upset.

"My fault!? You're the one that didn't tell them earlier!"

"Neither did you!"

"Well they didn't ask!" The two looked at each other as if struck by a realisation, then both turning to Nebesnogo at the same time.

"This is all your fault!" they stated in unison

For a moment, it dawned on Ariana and Nebesnogo that these two might still not have told everything there was to tell...

Darones:

Darones meanwhile sensed an opportunity to find out more about what was happening to the electronics - the figure that had been manipulating the panel had moved on deeper into the cantina, leaving the panel unguarded. If he could get access to it somehow, he would be able to tell what they had disabled, or he could go to Shebi to help her.

Shebi Ajava:

Shebi Ajava kept an eye on the ultramarine she had contacted, but they did not seem to respond.

Suddenly a well muscled blue Twi'lek man slipped out of a ceiling vent, dropping into the alcove with Shebi. The scar over his face and the sharp teeth made him appear quite menacing - clearly he was not your regular army grunt.

"You are interfering in Rebellion affairs. Explain yourself quickly."

Ariana was very irritated now. "Stop the blaming already! This is NOT Nebesnogo's fault!"
After those last words Ariana waited for a moment to cool down.

After the small pause she continued. "Are we missing another vital piece of information here? Do you know why the ultramarines want our target as well? Do you know what they did to the panel at the door? Cut the crap and tell us what we need to know now!"

Shebi Ajava looked the ultramarine over, smiled appreciatively as she partitioned of part of her thought process, one of the perks of being a Hemet Veolian, and set it to work. She tasked it with coming up with tactics that could be used against a group of at least five ultramarines, taking into account the current situation. While that part of her brain started churning away, she turned towards the blue Twi'lek.

"You are interfering in Union affairs. We're after the Hutt over there on the balcony. He has information we need to figure out if the Hutt Families are behind the bombing of one of our planets. We suspect the Hutt ordered the bombing in retaliation because we refused to extradite a Rebellion commander that was shot down over Unity, and instead offered him asylum and free passage.

So we have two options here. We work together to grab him, and we'll probably both get what we want. Or we hash it out and we'll both endure heavy casualties. I propose we do the former."

While she was talking, the other part of her thought processes came up with ways to engage the ultramarines, should everything go sideways.

Darones looked toward the alcove where he knew Shebi and the slave girl where, for now the situation seemed delicate, but stable and he decided to make use of the opportunity to study the electronic panel, which was now left unguarded. He needed to see what had been done, as information was a key to success.

He contacted Ariana over the comm, as he couldn't risk contacting Shebi now " I'm going to see if I can find out what has been done with the door panel. I'll try to also keep an eye on Shebi, but if one of you could look out too, that would be appreciated."

He left the table he had been sitting on, and made his way towards the doors. When he reached the electronics panel, he stopped and took a quick look around, before he tried to access to panel.

Nebesnogo and Ariana:

"They want the same thing we want - access to the Red Troop." Nade explained. "Because of the weapons. You see, the Red Troop are arms dealers. And they deliver to the Hutt."

"The Slave Rebellion doesn't like the Hutt." Ghany interjected "Because of the whole war and slavery thing. They really do not get along well." she looked as if this was a very awkward thing.

"Yeah, it is totally awkward." Nade agreed with Ghany's expression. "The ultramarines probably do not like the Red Troop selling weapons to the Hutt."

Shebi Ajava:

The ultramarine looked doubtful a moment, narrowing his eyes. "I don't trust slaver races." he stated as he leaned in towards Shebi, his strong muscular form towering over her.

Darones:

((OOC: Clarification: The slave girl is not an ultramarine - she just happened to recognise who they were. As a result she got out of the cantina and into the back room hoping to survive the impending shoot-out there - she is not with Shebi in the alcove))

Being an expert with computer systems certainly helped Darones as he inspected the panel. He easily identified the changes made by the cloaked figure.

For one, four defence turrets which were apparently hidden inside the bar had been disabled. This being the type of place that had shoot-outs in the bar, the Wookiee owner had no doubt had these placed to ensure that in case of a shoot-out he was the one that decided the outcome.

Darones' skill with slicing could enable him to re-activate the turrets if he wanted to, though he'd need access to the control pad to gain control of them. Those turrets would be a huge advantage in any fight.

Secondly, the system had been used to open up the sewage drain in one of the bathrooms - usually to allow for unclogging the pipes, but they could also make for an escape route out of the bar.

Shebi Ajava:

Shebi's other thought process quickly analysed the situation. She wasn't exactly sure what the Ultramarines could do and how determined they were, however, Hutt Space was hardly their territory and they wouldn't have access to backup.

The main problem was lightsabers. Without those, the padawan's were basically be outnumbered and outgunned. But with them, they would have a significant edge over the Ultramarine weapons, being able to block incoming fire easily.

It might not be necessary though: "If we work together to capture him, we share the information he gives. And I get him after we're done." The ultramarine offered.

Shebi Ajava was a little surprised to be called a 'slaver race' and, even though she knew that she would probably match his physical strength, she felt anxious with the large ultramarine towering over her. She carefully kept her surprise from showing in her facial expressions, as she did not want to appear intimidated.

"Though I might not approve of what you're going to do with him after he spills the information, it's none of my business. As long as we get the info he has on the Red Troop we're good." She took a relaxed breath before continuing. "I assume you have set up a way of getting the Hutt out of this cantina and onto a friendly vessel?"

Darones now had several options, not the least of which was to re-activate the turrets in the cantina. For the moment however, he thought it better to leave them offline and see how things would develop.

He left the panel for the moment and walked back to the table were he was previously seated, so that he could watch Shebi again, and provide support if it was needed.

((OOC: It's been over a week, I'm moving ahead.))

Shebi Ajava

"Agreed, we have a deal." The Ultramarine nodded. "We do have a plan to get out of here. Tell your friends not to get in our line of fire and to follow us when we drag out the Hutt. Things will start when you notice a distraction."

It wasn't clear if the Ultramarine underestimated the Jedi or if he simply didn't want to risk friendly fire. Either way, he seemed about ready to get to the action. With that, he pulled himself back up into the ventilation shaft.

((OOC: You can still tell him something if you feel its important))

Darones

As Darones returned to the table near Shebi's position, he noticed the Ultramarines seated nearby inching towards their weapons. Looked like things were about to go down.

((OOC: I am about to start the action. If you want to take any actions before combat starts, now is the time!))

Ariana had been patient for long enough now, she tapped her communicator. "This is taking to long... I will head closer to our target and do a flanking move to find analyze the situation."
Ariana was speaking just loud enough to let the people on her table know what she was saying.

Directly after talking in her communicator she turned towards Nebesnogo: "Nebesnogo are you coming with me?"

Ariana waits for a few seconds before she moves into the crowd to circle around the target. While she moves around inconspicuously she studies the options that the target has for escaping.

Just before the ultramarine disappeared Shebi Ajava used a trick she learned from her mother immediately after she became hemet: she willed her eyes to glow menacingly.

"I was not joking about their being four Jedi here -- it would be unwise to double cross us."

Shebi Ajava closed her eyes immediately after the ultramarine was gone and waited until the biological reaction to her psychic trick had run it's course; she didn't want to risk other cantina patrons seeing her like that.

She tapped her headset: "We have a deal with the ultramarines. They've prepared a distraction. Don't get in their line of fire, and follow the ultramarines through their exit. They seem confident that they've got everything handled, but be alert for surprises."

Ariana and Nebesnogo

((OOC: Both successful in getting into a good position!))

Ariana and Nebesnogo moved into position: Nebesnogo at the exit of the stairways leading up to the balcony where their target was waiting, the only regular exit. From here he could see most of the central area and he could ambush anyone coming down the stairs. Ariana stood below the balcony - she had a direct line of sight to the target and could force jump onto him from here easily.

Ajava and Darones

From their position, the other two Jedi had a direct route to Ariana and Nebesnogo on one side and a direct route to the sewage drain escape route the Ultramarines had indicated on the other side.

Everyone

Suddenly the loud sound of an explosion echoed from elsewhere on the station, the entire superstructure shaking to it's core. Several panels discharged energy and sparks and gravity seemed to shift some thirty degrees sideways, causing patrons to slide along the floor to the right and drinks and glasses to fall everywhere. The lights turned off, immediately replaced by red emergency lighting.

"Warning - station structural integrity compromised. Evacuate immediately." a heavy, raspy computer voice warned - it was safe to say this was the distraction the Ultramarines were referring to.

Even if an orderly evacuation might have been possible with this lot, what had been a pretty anarchic cantina to begin with quickly turned into a pandemonium as three of the Ultramarines tossed off their cloaks, raised their blaster rifles and opened fire on the Gamorrean guards and their Wookiee master - though a few tried to fight back, most of the patrons were jumping over one another to get out the door first, making the chaos complete.

Ajava and Darones

Or was it complete? Despite the Ultramarines having already taken out some of the Gamorreans and taking their enemy by surprise, the three guards that survived the opening salvo quickly rallied behind their Wookiee master and began to return automated blaster fire from their place of cover behind the bar - it was clear these guys were giving the ultramarines pause, not in the least because the route from the balcony where the target Hutt was to the sewage drain escape route went straight through their kill zone. Someone would have to take these guys out if their plan was to succeed.

Ariana and Nebesnogo

As the gravity shifted, their Hutt target stumbled, nearly knocked over the railing of the balcony, the front half of his huge form dangling over the edge, easily visible to both of them. One of the Ultramarines jumped onto the balcony from the central area - though that was something any Jedi could do, it was a surprising feat for a regular soldier.

Suddenly there was blaster fire being exchanged on the balcony, the Hutt hanging over the railing squealing in terror like a Huttlet.

Seeing the ultramarines' lack of progress against the left-over Gamorreans did not put Ajava's mind at ease about their "don't get in the line of fire" attitude.

"Darones, you're with me.", she said while tapping her comms: "This is Shebi; Darones and I are going to clear out the exit route. Assist the UMs."

She grabbed her Tenloss disruptor and activated the rifle, which silently started to build up charge while she moved into position. She ducked out of sight, to evade notice until her flanking manoeuvre was complete. ((OOC: Force Level 5 + Fitness 4 + Stealth 3))

After gaining some height Ariana draws a set of throwing knifes and immediately throws two of them at the guards at the bar, while she is flying towards the balcony. Ariana uses her force speed to give the knifes extra speed and her telekinesis for a slightly better aim. ((OOC: Force level 4 + force speed 1+ telekinesis 1))

When Ariana reaches the balcony she is ready to throw another two knifes at any hostiles. ((OOC: Force level 4 + force speed 1 + telekinesis 1, she does not want to hit the hutt or any ultra marines.))

Darones saw Shebi moving around to flank the guards and Wookie at the bar. He got both of his blaster pilots out in the open and prepared to flip the table to its side and lay down fire.

" Let me know when you are ready, I'll lay down fire from behind the table. That should give you the edge to take them out. ", Darones informed Shebi over the comm as he prepared to take aim, " There are plenty things to hide/duck behind, these should keep me save and enable me to move around while laying down fire. "

With the Force behind them as guidance, Ariana's knives flew true, landing dead center in the chest of one of the Gamorrean guards despite his position of cover - a scream of pain echo'd through the bar.

((OOC: Thrown knife is an attack on one ring, the Gamorrean has two rings of defense however, being a really tough bastard - he is now off-balance due to a minor injury, his skin being so thick he is not killed outright.))

Darones and Ajava snuck around to flanking positions, taking cover on either side of the bar, while being careful not to get into anyones lines of fire. It was a good thing too, as with a shout of "Fire in the hole!" one of the Ultramarines rose out from cover, aiming a shoulder mounted proton cannon at the bar.

A split second later there was a bright flash of light and a large explosion, sending one of the Gamorreans flying up into the air, then coming crashing down onto the ground. On Ajava's side, the bar was mostly destroyed, and the flying Gamorrean was most certainly dead, though the other two, one wounded, and the wookiee remained.

On top of the balcony, two rodians were exchanging fire with the Ultramarine, while a third fled down the staircase - a mistake to be sure as Nebesnogo made quick work of him, a single blaster shot right between the eyes.

((OOC: These Rodians aren't as touch as the Gamorreans and only have one regular ring of defence, easily beaten by someone of Nebesnogo's skill))

Between the fire from the Ultramarine and the expert knife throwing by Ariana, the other two Rodians were quickly taken out as well.

The Hutt meanwhile continued to scream in terror, waving its arms around as if this would somehow help it not fall flat on its face on the ground below.
