T'sal wasn't having any luck with the Emergency Exits - like the elevator, these too were secured and neither responded to her access card.

Of course that was a -gross- violation of public safety laws, but this station was out in an uninhabited system and whomever owned it likely cared more for security then they did for worker safety.

[Shebi Ajava]

"Here, let me try my real access card."

Shebi Ajava takes the real keycard she found during her search of the maintenance server room, and swiped it past the detector.

Unfortunately, the real access card didn't work either. From the looks of it, the team would have to try a different angle to approach the problem.

"Out, out! Seal your suits, we're going outside!"

Shebi sealed her suit, and dashed toward the forcefield separating the hangar's breathable atmosphere from the void of space. ((Check: 12 = 5 Force Level + 4 Fitness + 2 Athletics + 1 Force Speed -- ))

T'sal quickly sealed her suits and starts running.

"S4 full speed ahead." And she makes a gesture to the handle on her spacesuit.

S4 switches to his thruster and gets ready to launch them.

T'sal looks back to Darones the see if he needs a hand to get moving (throwing the grappling hook if needed).

Darones was still a bit flabbergasted as the events unfolded a little bit too quickly for him to keep track, his mind was still racing over the possibility to mark or tag one or several containers, as both T'Sal and Shebi raced from one side of the hangar to the other, in order to find a way out.

He vaguely heared Shebi shout " Out, Out! " and he felt himself lunging towards the forcefield in the center of the hangar, while he made sure to check his suit was properly sealed and functioning.

Once out in space, Darones got a grip on his thoughts again, and initiated the subroutines he had installed earlier to remotely power up their ship, so that they could leave immediately once they had reached it.

Rushing towards the force field, the team quickly sealed their suits, and rushed towards the field.

On most Union worlds, the field would have blocked them from going through without overrides: the safety systems would have strengthened the field to deny them passage, thus ensuring nobody accidentally walked into space. In this case however, the lack of proper safety systems being installed in the station worked to the teams advantage as the field gave them no difficulty and they passed through it just as if they were ships.

With a final Force Push, the team hurtled out into space, seconds before the scan of the hangar started!

Slowly floating away from the station, hidden in the radiation of the Neutron star, the team was safe.

Darones easily started up the ship and with their training under the belt, it would be simple to get back to it and return to the Jedi Council, the tracker allowing them to follow the dangerous cargo safely at a distance.

((OOC: You can now safely return to the ship and make your way back to the Jedi Council where some final discussion will round up this adventure, or if you have other plans you could execute them now. Regardless, if you have any actions left to do at the research station, now is the time to speak up and take them.))

“Nice action, thanks miss Shebi. We made it without being detected. We want to see to that we remove our presence at the station before we leave (trying to get out of the hangar and other data entries.).”

T’sal was relieved that is was over. Spying seems like quite a challenging job.

When they arrive on the ship T’sal starts to organize the data that they collected and makes a nice report of it. There were still questions unanswered and she wondered what would happen next. She decides to talk with the others about it.

“The data we have collected is top security. Clearly he owner has to be investigated to see what he is up to; hopefully the transmitter will help with that.

But the more intriguing matter is the research itself, I would love to study it. The Micro-black Branes have some quite interesting properties and it could lead to various applications but it cannot be used until the theory is formally discovered. This however could alert the owner.

Miss Shebi, what do you think?”

[Shebi Ajava]

"Clearly, we should report our full find to the Jedi Council."

Shebi Ajava looked pensive for a moment.

"However, I think you might be interested in pursuing this line of research yourself? Though Darones has already informed us that weaponisation might be in conflict with the second kinewa convention, I'm sure there are other applications... However, I doubt that the Jedi Council would be interested in further development of the theory and its applications. Maybe it is best to do your research away from the council.

I could try to convince my family to fund your research project? That would allow you to continue the work, while making sure that it isn't directly traceable back to the jedis. If my father can be convinced, I'm sure he will make sure you get appointed a well suited lab with research assistants, all the equipment you require, and enough funding for this project and probably one or two projects on the side. Interested?"

[T'Sal]

"Thanks miss Shebi for the offer, but if I just wanted to do research I could have done that at home at the research institute my father’s works at. It is nice to do research to know more on how the galaxy works, but it is not a goal on itself. One should share knowledge and apply it to make this galaxy a better place.

My report on the events is complete. There are not much scientist on the jedi en I hope they will see the significance of this discovery. I think I will write a recommendation on the scientific importance. With a big detour we could get this theory working. This theories offers various possibilities, there are other micro brane particles which can be investigated."

"Very well. Should you ever find that your father's institute is lacking on some front, don't forget this invitation."

" I'm sure I could find some people who'd be interested as well " Darones added, whilst flying their spacecraft back to their rendevous. " I have already informed the Jedi council of our preliminary findings, and passed the frequency of the tracker along. Once we are back, the council will want to see the data we collected, along with a full report of our activities. "

The Jedi soon flew back to Union territory, where they easily found their way to the Jedi Temple. Along the way, they filled out their report for the Jedi Council.

"You have made a most worrying discovery!" Master Screetor noted firmly "The presence of this woman... it does not bode well, and raises many questions.

I believe you did the right thing in not engaging her but keeping your cover. We will be tracking the movement of her ship and gathering more information about what is going on. The Jedi Council will look at this matter with great interest. They may have questions for you later on, so make sure you can be reached.

For now, go and reflect on what has happened."

After they delivered the report with the scientific recommendation T'sal went to quartermaster Nishra.
S4 gets new parts for the ones they made the transmitter from. She adds some spy tool to his inventory so next time he does not have to be disabled.
