The thugs were carrying blasters, but they did not seem to be very well-armed. More than enough to push some locals around but nothing on the scale of taking on a Jedi, unless they were very good at hiding their talents.
With her rather aggressive form 0, and her large Praetorian build, she brought hesitation to the man who had been speaking to her.
"... alright." he finally yielded, intimidated by Ariana's threat of force. Like Ariana, he too was able to guess the outcome of a full on fight, and it did not end well for him. Fortunately, this guy was a smarter than average thug, it seemed.
"But you best not screw us out of that second half you offered!"
With that, the thugs stood aside, allowing the elderly townsfolk to get into the truck.
With the thug problem out of the way, the evacuation soon came back on track, and under Ariana's guidance the people of the town managed to get to safety, leaving their town and ancestral burial ground behind, possibly forever...
((OOC: I don't think a battle is needed here, Ariana can be plenty intimidating with her lightsaber and dragon-shaped body. I have no more events on this planet, so be sure to finish up any final business you have here - if you don't object, next post I will take you back to the Jedi Temple))

Ariana managed the evacuation and told the people to stay away from the village for a while. They had to wait out the volcanic activity. Ariana finished up on her current location and said her goodbyes to the locals. Before she left she searched for the thugs and paid them the other half of the credits as promised. "Spend it wisely" she said.
Ariana left for her ship and returned to Union to report to the council what hat happened on Zontis.

Returning to Unity, Ariana landed her ship and made her way to the council. Jedi Master Screetor was already waiting for her.
"You have returned." he noted, though he did not seem surprised. He did not ask what had happened, nor what she had found there. Instead, he listened as Ariana gave her report on what had happened.
"You have made some choices" he stated after she was done "Those will stay with you. They will indicate what type of Jedi you are. I think perhaps you have found who you always were." the Jedi Master nodded, guiding the way deeply into the temple, stopping at a changing room.
"In this room you will find the Jedi Robes of a knight. Change into them, then go out through the doors on the other end. I will wait for you there."
Master Screetor waited for Ariana to enter before locking the door behind her. The room was small, and a side path led to some public showers as if this were the changing rooms for a team of football players. On the central bench, a folded set of robes was waiting for her, perfectly sized to her measurements.

Ariana handed Master Screetor her report and told him what happened on Zontis. Afterwards she went into the changing room and changed into the Jedi Robes that were waiting there for her. After changing she exited the changing room on the other side.

The door opened up into a large, circular hallway, with patterns drawn on the ground. Jedi Masters and Knights had gathered, standing in a circle around Master Screetor. The circle had one open space on the side of the door, which allowed Ariana to enter it easily.
Motioning to her, Master Screetor indicated for her to join him in the centre of the circle. Ariana stepped forward, taking the indicated place.
"We are all Jedi. The Force speaks through us. Through our actions, the Force proclaims itself and what is real. Today we are here to acknowledge what the Force has proclaimed."
Master Screetor sounded dead serious and as he spoke the Jedi surrounding Ariana closed the hole in the circle through which she had entered, leaving her in the dead centre as she kneels before Master Screetor, recognising the words of the knighting ritual.
As he completed the words, each of the Jedi activated their lightsaber, casting the room in a bright light of multiple colours, mixing to white in the centre.
Master Screetor brought his lit blade down above Ariana's left shoulder, then her right shoulder, then moving to the left again.
With the last move, he cut off the Padawan braid, in Ariana's case likely a string of beads or a piece of jewellery of some sort as her species did not have natural long hair.
"Ariana Danacia. By the right of the Council, by the will of the Force, I dub thee, Knight of the Union."
With that, Ariana had officially become a Jedi Knight. Her final part of the ritual was to exit the circle in silence, the Jedi that formed it moving aside to make way for her.

Ariana stood up from her kneeling position, and left the circle in silence.
