"Greetings, padawan Trigiel.", the metallic voice of Jedi master Qun Treen echoed through the mostly empty hangar.

Trigiel hadn't been informed of what was going on. The only thing he had received was a short note from the Jedi master to show up in in the hangar of the temple mooring tower. When the door opened, he had found the kel'dor master standing in the middle of the hangar, next to a rather old ship.

"It is time you took the knight's test", the master took a laboured breath, "Tomorrow morning, this ship will leave for the destination set in the auto-pilot. It will go to the desert world of Ord Isil, where you will have to find and arrest Leba the Hutt. He has witnessed the opening of an ancient tomb on the planet, and it is important that we question him on the topic to find out the exact name of the one buried in the tomb."

The master paused for a bit.

"Meditate carefully on what you will take. The knight's test is dangerous, and not all padawan return."

((OOC: This mission is intended only for Fecta Trigiel. I propose a 2/week posting schedule (we'll discuss the actual schedule offline), rewards will be handed after succesful completion of the mission.))

Trigiel spend the entire night in preparing for his knight trial. This was a very important moment, and he was to excited to sleep. First he tried to find some information about Leba the Hutt. He had no idea who he was so it would be very useful to find that our first. Eventually, he found about Leba in the Infiltrade the Red Troop mission report. He also tried to find some information about the desert world he was going to visit in order to bring the necessary equipment to survive.

After that, Trigiel meditated for almost the rest of the time till very early in the morning. He though about the words of Master Qun Treen: not all padawan return, but that not necessarily meant that they died. Maybe some of them found another life, or get stuck on a planet for ever.

The idea that some padawan choose the dark side crossed Trigiels mind, but he tried to dismiss those thoughts, they only brought sorrow.

Very, very early Trigiel collected his equipment. First he made sure his life support systems and mechanical body were up to speed with the conditions on a dessert planet. If necessary, he brought some tools so he could finish his body while on the ship.

Then he looked at a moment at his E-11 sniper rifle. Would he need that? Probably not. While at the other hand, way to often he has been in need of the sniper while he didn't carry one with him. Better bring one and don't need it than the other way around he thought.

Trigiel did indeed find some interesting facts on Ord Isil in the temple's library. The planet is the third one out in a system of five planets around a yellow main sequence star in (:hex) 18 -6. There are two significant asteroid belts in the system, one after the second planet and one on the outside of the system. The outer belt features an unnamed moon that is orbitted by the Ord Waystation, a space station built on the framework of the ruins of a much older and larger station.

Ord Isil itself is lightly inhabited, mostly underground aeroponics farmers and few nomadic jawa clans. The deserts of the planet are frequently scoured clean by massive sandstorms, forcing any habitation underground or at least into the canyons.

The flight was long and uneventful, with the ship arriving in (:hex) 18 -6 after only 22 days. As the ship dropped out of hyperspace on the outside of the system, Trigiel immediately saw that the information he had gotten from the Jedi library about the system was correct: The system feature two significantly large asteroid belts, and five planets.

A few moments after he dropped from hyperspace his comms system picked up two publicly broadcasted message, both seemingly played on loop. The first read "...at Xynek's Drive Garage!... Dock at Ord Waystation and get a free engine checkup at Xynek's Drive Garage!... Dock at Ord Waystation and get a...", the second, slightly weaker, signal read: ...at The Cantina!... Dock at Ord Isil's Spaceport and receive a voucher for a free beverage and lapdance at "The Cantina!... Dock at Ord Isil's..."

His scanners informed him that Ord Waystation was seeing significantly more traffic, including two capital ships flying Hutt colours. He scanned only three ships en-route to and from Ord Isil, and all three were small cargo tugs.

Trigiel first checked his fuel levels. If he needed to refuel, this was his chance at the station. Believing Leba the Hutt to be in or near the tomb, Trigiel wanted to mostly ignore the Waystation at this moment and if he could directly go to the planet, he went without hesitation.

Either if he needed to refuel or when he could land at Ord Isil, Trigiel followed the normal protocols around space stations and capital ships. He kept a respectable distance from the capital ships and flew casually towards his destination.

If he had enough fuel and could land on Ord Isil, Trigiel scanned for the tomb. Then he tried to find a good landing location. Out of sight, not to close and not to far from the tomb.

After eyeing his fuel levels and determines that the ship's fuel reserves will easily carry him to Unity and back here without any stops. Making sure to evade the impressively large capital ships, Trigiel casually pilots his ship towards the planet.

About ten minutes later the planet comes in range of his scanners. With a quick sweep he locates at least 12 tombs, in two clusters of 6. Luckily for him, he can quickly spot the opened tomb due to radio chatter from one of the locations: "Hurry up, the boss wants this last load moved before the sandstorm hits."

Trigiel easily finds a landing location to put down the ship on the mesa plateau. From the plateau he has a good vantage point to look at the tomb's entrance down below in the valley.

((Check: 11 = 6 Force Level + 5 Vision -- sensitive optics, zoom, etc.))

With his cybernetically enhanced sight, Trigiel spots sixteen armed men. Six are operating cranes to move crates onto three cargo sleds while two others are busy with attaching the line of sleds to a hovertank. The rest busy themselves with guarding the work. Trigiel spots 6 speederbikes, probably the other guards will ride the tank and the sleds.

As they are working, one of the crates slips from a crane. With a loud crash it smashes open on the rocky ground. Several crystals fall out, prompting the nearby guards to quickly take a few steps back as a new crate is fetched. Due to the heat and the distance, it is difficult to make out what kind of crystals these are, or what shapes they have. The crystals are placed in the new crate with a pair of iron tongs.

If they continue working this fast, they'll be done loading in about five minutes.

Trigiel thought for a short moment. Then he realised that it was a good thing if they were done as fast as they were. The mission was to bring in Leba the Hutt, and information about who was buried in the tomb. The chance that his mission would fail and the galaxy would be doomed as sixteen men transporting a crate of crystals escaped was not very high. And besides, he could track the crate afterwards... maybe. Okay not very likely but still.

While the men continued to work, Trigiel sneaked down till he was closer by the entrance of the tomb. The moment the armed men were done, Trigiel paid close attention what the armed men would to next.

((OOC: Remining hidden is Stealth. Climbing is done with Athletics. Your check to climb down and remain hidden is denied. I have used ((Check: 13 = 7 Force Level + 5 Fitness + 1 Athletics -- )) instead, which is approved for the climbing part.))

Trigiel makes his way down the cliff face, being careful not to draw the attention of the armed men. While he is a proficient climber, he can not get very close to the tomb's entrance with these men still there. He finds a good hiding spot behind some rocks that broke of the cliffs years ago.

From some distance, he observes the men. After they finished loading the crates, they use rope to bind the crates to the cargo sleds. While they are doing that the guy in charge grabs his radio "Tell the boss we're leaving the tomb. We placed the bombs as he instructed, there'll be nothing but rubble here after we leave... I think we'll make it just before the sandstorm. If we outrun the storm we'll make the cantina in an hour."

After he radioed in his message he shouted orders to the men to get ready. Trigiel saw the men get in the cargo sleds, and getting to the bikes. While his men were getting ready to leave the boss takes out a remote detonator from his backpack, and starts to fiddle with the settings.

'Ahw man,' Trigiel thought to himself, 'why do they always have to make it difficult'. He quickly went through some scenarios in his head, he could shoot the men, he could shoot the detonator, or he could just walk towards them and kindly asks them not to blow up the whole thing.

The problem with most of his plans is that he had to shoot first, which is something he wouldn't just do. So walking it is. He opened his leg pocket with his gun, in case he had to shoot the detonator anyway though. Noting wrong with a backup plan.

Without further delay, the cyborg padawan came out of hiding walking towards the men. "Hello there kind fella and sorry to disturb you, but I would prefer it very much if you didn't blew up this tomb." Trigiel kept a close eye on the guy with the detonator, ready to interfere when he decided to blow up the whole thing anyway. "So I'm not here to fight you, I'm just interested in the tomb. So why don't you just kindly hand me over the detonator and we both can continue our way."

If not disturbed by laser shots and other weaponry, Trigiel made a very kind handwave while saying the part.

As Trigiel walked towards them, a few of the men grabbed a good hold of their rifles, ready to act if necessary. The boss, detonator still in his hand, looked at him with a surprised look.

"You look like a friendly enough droid.", he said with caution, "But my boss is a real serious type when it comes to following orders. I really should make sure that this place goes sky-high. I would love to continue my way", he said while he rubbed together the thumb and index finger of his left hand to make the universal symbol for 'money'.

When the men saw their boss react in a more-or-less friendly manner, they relaxed their grip on the weapons and continued with readying the convoy.

They didn't start shooting? Well that's a first. Trigiel though to himself, wondering how many guys with guns he encountered and how many of them didn't shoot.

"Ah well, I am sure you, the group of people here, are most trustworthy freelancers, so I won't try to talk you out of your boss' job. No reason to jeopardise any of your future endeavours.

Have your boss specified when the tomb has to be blown into pieces? Otherwise I have the following proposal: We go together to your boss without the explosion part. There I have a little talk with your boss and you can get your payment.

As I really want to be on my way as well, I also propose my alternative: Any attempt to blow this tomb into pieces at this moment will be treated like an hostile attempt towards me or as an attack and will be dealt with accordingly, meaning that I will have to stop you or kill you, depending on the situation.

But as death will be the least favourable outcome for all of us, I am sure we can just act like decent men and go to your boss.

How do they say it? I will make him an offer he can't refuse."

Trigiel waited calmly, but ready for action to shoot the detonator if necessary.

The leader looked at Trigiel like he was crazy.

"Look, thick-headed droid. Our boss wants this place blown to dust right now. Either make it worth our while", he made the same finger-rubbing gesture again, "or you I'll blow the place sky-high."

While he was speaking, some of the other men unsubtly moved to form a rough half-circle around Trigiel, ready to back up their leader should the strange droid make good on its threat.

For a split-second, Trigiel thought about his motive to safe the tomb. His mission was to get to arrest Leba the Hutt to know who was buried in there, but if Leba wanted to destroy the tomb, than he probably had a good reason to do so, and that reason is probably the same reason why the jedi would want to safe the tomb.

"Who was buried in the tomb, and why does Leba wants in destroyed? Maybe that will diminish my interest in the tomb."

Lets squeeze some little extra information before taking actions, Trigiel thought.

"I don't know, some dusty dude I guess", the leader rolled his eyes, as if he had enough of this while he rudely interrupted Trigiel's first question. "Whoa, who said anything about Leba?!", he reacted strongly to the second question, "Look, we have nothing to do with that, we're just here to transport these crystals and get a fat payday."

The leader looked at Trigiel for a moment. "Here's the deal: you pay me to not blow up the place, and we'll be out of your hair. You don't pay me, and we'll be selling scrap droid parts for our trouble."

"Hmm, You having nothing to do with Leba changes this a little. Before you make the mistake of kicking my ass, who is your boss if not Leba and what does he or she have to do with the crystals?"

In his mind, Trigiel already quickly assessed the fighting arena. The leader would be the biggest threat, but the soldiers might limit his manoeuvrability. Jumping Witik Strike will probably be useless, but he has the advantage of Rising Baraw.

Take down soldiers right, past the commander, to the soldiers left, finish commander. Should be easy enough.

The leader seemed agitated: "Not that it's any of your business, but we work for hire, and we don't get paid to blab about it. So don't ask stupid questions, droid. Last chance: pay up or die!"

The leader's cronies raised their weapons at Trigiel, ready to blast him a few new holes if he didn't cooperate with the boss.

Trigiel reached into the places where normally the pockets in pants would be, but in this case only durasteel plating. And the opened leg pocket with the blaster of course. After making an obvious gesture that he couldn't reach in his pockets Trigiel said: "Sorry, no money with me."

And with that, Trigiel readied every fibre in his being for battle, although it wouldn't necessarily be visible. The time it would take the men to pull the trigger it would take Trigiel to active his lightsabers and deflect the shots.

The leader looked on with obious annoyance. "Enough talk. Scrap him guys!"

The men were happy to do so, and opened fire. While they did so, the leader took a few steps back.

((OOC: Trigiel completely outclasses these goons, even the leader. After two or three of the soldiers go the rest will try to scramble to the speeders to flee. I leave it to you how many and what kind of casualties there are ^_^))

The moment the first soldier pulled the trigger, Trigiel activated his lightsaber, just in time to deflect the shot right into the heart of the next soldier. With one graceful jump and sweep the cyborg cut the first soldier in half. He activated his second lightsaber and with two of the most deadly personal weapons in the galaxy he laid waste to the third soldier. It could have been a beautiful dance, the way Trigiel swirled around, deflecting shots and his lightsabers making flowing patterns, going from one move to the next without a clear identifiable transition. Somewhere in his mind, a small voice of one of the masters was speaking: 'It is wrong to hurt innocent people' while one other said 'your power is to use for the good, not to abuse'. However all vioces where quickly silenced by Trigiels Teprogrenaian heritage: 'These guys started, once again it is clear that alien lifeforms are all violent and deserve extinction'. So that is what Trigiel did, continuing his onslaught.

The show took about 12 seconds to finish the men and to safe the leader for last and somewhere, Trigiel just loved the horror on the faces of these soldiers once they realised what they were dealing with here. You could make up some reasons why Trigiel didn't apply form zero, but deep down there, Trigiel knew that it was just for the shock effect, the look on their faces, a perfectly decent excuse to have some terrible kind of fun with completely irrelevant people. 'You're so evil' Trigiel thought to himself, 'nah, these guys had it coming anyway. I'm just a naughty bad boy.'

Not about to let them go, Trigiel jumped to the fleeing soldiers to finish them off. Finished with those, within a few steps Trigiel stepped in front of the leader, cut his blaster in half with one saber and put the other on his neck.

"Now that you realised your mistake, I bet you are much more cooperative, please tell me everything you know, including details about your contractor."

"Wait! Wait!", the leader shouted as his blaster was neatly sliced into pieces. "We though you were a droid. I'll tell you everything I know", the leader looked around frantically, "Please spare me!"

"Look, we don't work directly for him, but word is Leba the Destroyer wants the tomb and everything in it dustified. I don't know why. We were hired by Vitress to nab the crystals before blowing up the tomb. She's some sort of high-up in Leba's inner circle. We're supposed to bring the crystals to the cantina where a tug would pick 'em up!"

The leader got a slightly less scared look. "If you let me live, I can give you the password! You can go to the waystation yourself with the crystals and collect the reward? Please?"

The leader looked decidedly cowardly at the moment.

Trigiel's expression suddenly turned friendly again after the hasty explanation of the poor guy.

"Okay, I'm convinced.

Here is what we are going to do: I'm having a look inside the tomb, and you are going with me. After I'm finished we go to the cantina, where we'll meet the thug. You can claim your reward and I will be on my way and our paths will never cross again."

Trigiel went inside the tomb and took the mercenary with him. Inside he had a good look around, and if he thought so necessary, he asked the soldier about details.

The guy looks a bit confused at Trigiel's explanation of what is going to happen. However, he quickly decides that the droid with the lightsaber was right, and that his survival depends on his cooperation.

With his technologically enhanced vision, Trigiel has little trouble walking around in the mostly dark tomb. There are a few strong lights placed throughout the tomb, connected to cheap batterypacks that lay scattered around.

The Jedi discovers that the tomb consists of only three rooms: the first room directly after the entrance is a square room, with a ceiling twice as high as the door. Even with his enhanced eyesight, Trigiel finds little of interest in this room. It is a simple room with little in it except a second doorway.

A second doorway leads to a large hall of roughly 20 meters long. Statues of humanoids stand along the sides of the hallway. In total there are ten of these statues, five on the left side and five on the right side. Each statue is about four meters high, with the hall's ceiling even higher. Though the statues themselves lack detail, the pedestals they stand on draw Trigiel's attention. The pedestals had glyphs etched into them. Unfortunately, someone used a lightsaber to make most of the glyphs unreadable by swiping at them with a criss-cross pattern.

The final room is clearly where the sarcophagus should have been... However, it isn't there. In fact, the whole room is devoid of interesting features. The most intersting thing are several pickaxes that lie strewn about, and Trigiel spots a few shards of crystal, but that's it.

After a some investigation Trigiel determines that most of the glyphs on the statues' pedestals have been destroyed. He does not recognize the few glyphs he can make out. He also concludes that the sarcophagus room has been emptied out, and that the pickaxes have been used to loosen the crystals from the walls. Curiously, he can not find any drag marks on the floor. So whoever cleared out the tomb probably used better equipment than these goons had.

Further investigation of the tomb might reveal more details, but that will take special equipment and time.
