Investigating the Mandalorians
-

Darones Rei - PC
As soon as Darones noticed the Mandalorian Soldiers, who came down in their jet packs, he waisted little time. They had little choice but the defend themselves and hope that they would fast enough in order to prevent the Mandalorians from calling in more reinforcements.
"Go figure," he puffed, "as if we aren't in enough trouble as it is."
Not keen on taking any risks however he shouted,
"T'Sal, we need to hurry, I'll take one, you deal with the other."
He then tapped in to the force and jumped up to seemingly impossible heights to at the hopes of surprising the Mandalorian and take him out fast and swiftly with a few well placed punches.
((Check: 12 = 5 Force Level + 4 Fitness + 1 Athletics + 2 Force Jump -- to make a jump high enough to reach the Mandalorian))
((Check: 8 = 5 Force Level + 3 Strength -- to knock him out fast with some well placed blows))
Once he landed back on the elevator, he then activated his lightsabers and adopted a defence heavy style, making sure to shield not only himself, but control console and the Sheller from any fire as well. Those training in the Jedi arts would recognize the characteristics of the Soresu style, with a focus on defending versus projectile weaponry.
((OOC: if futher combat is needed))

T'Sal - PC
T'sal is glad that Darones and her effort to fix the elevators works. As they go up and their mission looks almost finish, but life is not so easy.
As she looks up she sees two Mandalorian warriors coming towards him.
Quickly T'sal grabs in her bag. She gets the small force field generator and throws is towards the Sheller with help of the force.
"Here is some extra cover for you, activate it."
((Check: 10 = 5 Force Level + 1 Telekinesis + 4 Energy -- Throwing the small force field generator towards the Sheller to he can active it))
As the soldiers start shooting at them T'sal dodges the blast and grabs the blaster also out of her bag. She tumbles and shoots back aiming for the jetpack of the other guy as to bring him down.
((OOC: If further combat))

((OOC: You have Force Jump 2, so you are able to make some amazing jumps. However, jumping up is harder than jumping far, and the Mandalorians are hovering some ten meters above the ground and Darones is not exactly the tallest guy in the world. I'm afraid a 12 simply isn't going to cut it, so your check has failed. Since you cannot take two checks in a turn, you automatically fail the second one, not in the least considering you can't reach him.
However your use of Circle of Shelter is excellent, so this is approved.
T'sal can easily toss an object to the Sheller. The shield generator is rather heavy, but I see no reason Telekinesis would not allow her to get this to him, so your check is approved.))
Darones used the Force to jump up in an attempt to reach the Mandalorians, but soon found himself falling short, the distance his force jump carried him being unable to make him reach all the way up. Moving to the Sheller, the young jedi expertly deflected the Mandalorian blaster fire away from the control panel and the spy.
The Sheller caught the force field generator, fidgeting with it for a bit in order to get it activated. Between it and the console, he'd have reasonably good cover, though not of the quality Darones was providing right now.
T'sal grabbed her blaster and moved to return fire, but much to her shock her marksmanship seemed to have little effect: not because of any lack of aim as her shots were right on the money, but because the Mandalorians armour absorbed the fire of the blaster as if it was irrelevant! Whenever she hit them, the armour glowed a bit, then turned black, but being otherwise unaffected. These warriors had excellent armour!
But things were about to get worse as both Jedi sensed a disturbance in the force. A -thud- later, a humanoid figure wearing a dark robe landed onto the platform as if he had jumped no further than the third step of a set of stairs. Yet despite of the ease of his landing, he was not wearing a jet-pack.
Rising up, the figure tossed his robes aside in one smooth motion, revealing Mandalorian style armour underneath. In his right hand was a black tube with several led lights and from it extended the red blade of a lightsaber. Bringing the blade to his other hand behind him, he readied to attack.
((OOC: Where the Mandalorians were mostly "annoying" being out of reach and providing mildly dangerous fire, the arrival of this stranger has significantly changed the situation on the elevator platform.
For this reason, we are restarting the count and are now entering Round 0 once again.
The current status is that the Sheller is safe, unless someone interferes with him, there are two Mandalorian Jetpack troops who do not pose a significant thread, but who can act in annoying ways (providing bonuses or penalties) and one serious opponent.
You are currently 6 combat rounds away from the top of the elevator, which means I will announce the arrival at the top at the end of Round 6, meaning you cannot retreat until then. Try not to die in the meanwhile!))

Darones Rei - PC
In order to retain some offensive capabilities and not focus fully on defence from the onset of battle, Darones opted to fight with one saber instead of his usual dual-wield and chose the comfort of the Shii-cho style. He hooked his second saber back on his belt and tossed off his robe to give himself some more mobility
He had hoped that their actions would be sufficient to force the Mandalorian Jetpack soldiers out of the fight, but instead he saw their position worsened as a disturbance in the force gave away a Sith, who landed on the platform with relative ease. Though the Sith as alone the 2 jetpackers could well give him the edge and Darones made sure not underestimate him.
For the moment the Sheller was reasonably safe between the console and the portable shield generator he had set up. The Mandalorian soldiers were a threat the Sheller, but right now Darones could do little besides hoping that he and T'Sal would draw enough attention and perhaps create an opportunity in which they could try to attack the soldiers directly. Right now however, dealing with the Sith was much more important.

T'Sal - PC
T'sal is impressed by the excellent armor of the Mandalorians. She would really like to investigate it and discover how it works. Unfortunately, they were fighting now and it was not over.
Then there is a disturbance in the Force as a Sith jumps down onto the platform. T'sal puts the blaster back in her bag and takes her green lightsaber. She does not need to be concerned about the Sheller as with the force field he would be same from the incoming fire of the warriors flying up high. Her attention needs to be on the humanoid Sith right in front of her. T'sal takes up the standard Shii-co style. She makes outflanking movements and slowly comes closer.
((OOC: May I upgrade my character by 1 Force level, due to rule change or not. I did not start with it this mission and I am against changing your character during mission. (Leveling is always a problem when doing multiple missions.)))

As a special condition, T'sal currently gets an additional -1 on all attack and defences due to being forced to defend herself from the blaster fire of the Mandalorians for this round specifically.))
The armoured figure stepped forward towards Darones, him being the closest target. At about 2 meters tall, he towered above the little padawan and the disdain he held for the young jedi was palpable even with the helmet hiding his face.
The red blade swung aggressively at the young Jedi in wide slashes, its light reflecting on the cold metal covering the old shaft, as if daring the jedi to take to the air once more, where he could be readily cut into little bits. Notably, Darones was unable to place the style the opponent was using - it was not one he knew anyway.
T'sal was largely ignored by the armoured figure but not by the two Mandalorians still flying around up there, who both took aim and fired their blasters at her. Though T'sal could easily bounce the bolts away with her saber and they did not take up much of her attention, they were still a nuisance and their suppressive fire, seemingly aimed at keeping her out of the battle until the armoured warrior had sliced and diced Darones, was having at least some effect.

Darones Rei - PC
As Sith prepared to attack him, Darones had already assessed his options. It was likely that he was being pushed into a heavy defence, as the Sith would most probably try to attack with superior strength and ferocity in order to overpower the young Jedi, so that he could then turn his attention to T'Sal.
And it was precisely there, forced into the defensive, where Darones could get the most benefit of his training and skill. Being but a small guy, the much larger Sith might just underestimate the extend of Darones' skill. Move over, Darones was defensive fighter in nature, he wasn't particularly strong or large; offence was just not his way. Instead his small posture and light weight combined with his natural agility, speed, control over jumps and his knowledge of Soresu, made him extremely difficult to hit and an expert at dodging and deflecting.
As the aggression with which the Sith struck down on Darones became evident and Darones felt the pure strength of the heavy impact, he knew he had been right. The Sith would try to press his advantage, sooner rather then later. Darones' mounted defence, would only fuel his aggression further and eventually result in errors.
For moment Darones deflected the attacks of the Sith with relative ease, while dodging and evading most of the strikes. He mounted a counter attack as best he could, hoping to find a small gap in between the ferocious swings of the Sith, but for the moment that proved difficult.

As the soldiers are firing on T'sal they are limiting her movements and strength. She moves further around her opponent until she is behind him and then sneaks forward. T'sal want to get into his blind spot and by moving closer to her opponent the warriors will not be able to shoot her as that would initiate friendly fire. Using her intuition of close combat and guidance of the Force T'sal position herself so that she will not be hit easily.
T'sal and Darones are now standing opposite to each other and they could flank him now.

((OOC: Darones
I was in some confusion about your defensive action and its not clear what you are actually doing. In your post you describe that you'll be underestimated and you explain how this effect will continue to hold over time as the Sith gets angrier and angrier. I can get behind this, but your check is completely unrelated to this and lists Acrobatics and Jumping as the key components of your defence.
I realised at this point your defence wasn't being underestimated but being really good at dodging, but I am not sure "dodging" can really be considered a defensive advantage action. I might allow 'dodging' as a Direct Combat Action, because it is on par with kicks and grapples, but I do not think dodging in and of itself is enough in and of itself to provide a long term advantage.
As a final consideration, it is very true Darones is really good at dodging, but this isn't an advantage *action*. Rather it is an advantage that you have which is represented in the stats and skills you can use during direct combat and advantage actions. Therefore I am afraid your action is denied.
T'sal
Flanking is usually used offensively so to use it defensively as you do is I think creative and reasonable. You won't be immune to fire from the Mandalorian fliers or invisible to the armoured warrior, but I think keeping in his blind spot and using him as cover is a very reasonable defensive advantage action, so I approve of the action. Intuition is the right score for this and you explained Stealth reasonably well in my humble opinion, so the bonuses are good. An 11 is not far above but high enough in this case. Your action is approved.))
As Darones and T'sal moved defensively against the Mandalorian with the lightsaber, the latter pressed his offence, laying blow after blow on Darones and chasing him out over the rising platform. Glowing yellow spots in the floor lit up where the lightsaber had hit the ground, leaving a trail of molten metal behind, some of it dripping down into the depth where the saber had made the deepest cuts. The warrior continued to press, very aggressively moving into Darones' personal space, taking full advantage of his longer blade and making wide sweeping motions.
Meanwhile, the flying Mandalorians suddenly stopped firing as if instructed from elsewhere, moving above the Sheller's hiding space and lowering down to ground level. From here they would be able to get past the cover and the shield generator and drag the Sheller out of his hidey hole!

Darones Rei - PC
Unable to gain any advantage Darones was pressed even further into the defensive as the full weight of the Sith's rage now came down at him. He simply could not maintain a capable defence without sacrificing some of his offensive capabilities.
He had noticed the the Jetpackers had ceased to hinder T'Sal and instead turned their attention to the Sheller, exposing his cover. At moment there was little Darones could do about it, besides hoping that the Sheller could dodge a shot or two and make good use of T'Sals shield generator. He wasn't however going to leave the Sheller all by himself, and gradually completed the circle in his direction.
In the meantime T'Sal had managed the sneak up behind the Sith, providing both Darones and herself with a considerable advantage. It would prove much more difficult for the Sith now to dodge their combined attacks. This was precisely the sort of error Darones was hoping for and the Sith had fallen for it.
Even though Darones was unable to withstand the onslaught of the Sith as his attacks were hard to dodge or block, he trusted solely on his ability to deflect his opponents attacks and create his own opportunities for a counter attack. His attacker's sweeps were long and predictable and moreover required a lot of strength. While defending against the sweeps, Darones noticed a pattern. As the Sith swept his saber, he left a considerable gap in his defensive, just when the sweep was the farthest out, he then need a little time to cover before his next sweeping attack, presenting Darones with a small window to exploit.
Darones timed his defence carefully and then got up in close in order to launch a series of short and effective strikes, cutting the Sith's exposed neck, shoulder, arm and leg. As long as he kept the Sith focussed on him, they would be al right, and these cuts would surely get his attention.

T'Sal - PC
It would take the Mandalorians warroir some time to move down. T'sal hopes that the Sheller is able to defend himself for a while as they were still busy with the Sith.
The Sith makes big and wide aggressive moves and his attack pattern becomes easy to read and follow. As he is rampaging on Darones T'sal has has free reign. She sticks close to him, follows his moves and lets the force guide her. T'sal becomes his shadow and from this unseen darkness she attacks. Short quick stabs seemingly coming from nowhere are interrupting the attacks of the Sith. He now has to divide his attention towards attacking Darones in front off him and defending against T'sal sneak attacks in his back.
Now that T'sal is up close behind the Sith, she changes to suus mahna martial arts as it is more suitable for close-combat.

((OOC: Darones' use of exploits in the warriors attack pattern is fitting for the situation and therefore I will allow it. The check of 12 makes sense so it is approved
I do not think T'sal can really sneak up on the warrior (he's not exactly oblivious to the other Jedi there), but I do think it makes sense she can stick close and attack from behind, taking advantage of his focus on Darones. I will therefore allow it, but remove the stealth bonus. The total check then becomes 10 which is enough so this is also approved.
Your combined attack is 6 / 11 / 9, which is enough to bring the warrior off balance! Unfortunately, the warriors attack is also enough to bring Darones off balance.))
Darones was forced back harshly, allowing him precious little time manoeuvre, and soon the warrior forced him into moves he did not want to make, causing him to falter as the warrior got the upper hand.
For a moment it seemed as if Darones was done for, but anyone who thought that had failed to account for T'sal being sneaky! The Hiocan Jedi took full advantage of the warriors focus on Darones and with some expertly placed strikes managed to make a slice that almost took his head off! Unfortunately the warrior managed to curl backwards and out of the way, making the slice go short, but it interrupted his flow and left the armoured lightsaber warrior off balance.
Meanwhile the two Mandalorians with Jetpacks had landed and with a -boom- a grenade took care of the shield generator, fully exposing the Sheller as the two Mandalorians moved to drag him out and fly off with him, jetpacks firing up ready to carry them off!
The battle between the Jedi and the warrior continued visciously, with the enemy warrior changing strategies - backing away from Darones and T'sal, he traced his saber through the floor, leaving a glowing trail of molten metal and pulling it up as if it were a sheet of paper being flipped over on a note-block to act as a barrier between himself and the other two, leaving a gaping hole going down into the depth below behind where the metal had been ripped out of its shape!
T'Sal - PC
Working together the two padawans had stopped the barrage of the Sith forcing him on the defense. But the Sheller seems less fortunate as the warroirs go and grab him. T'sal is not planning om them getting away with him. It is just too bad they she would have to leave the advantage they have on the Sith now slip.
As the Sith curls away she comes out of his shadow and she jumps now to the Mandalorians warroirs who are down and within reach. As the warroir have their hands full with the Sheller they cannot attack her or defend properly. With a big sweep of her lighsaber T'sal lands right behind the warroirs and slices them up.
((OOC: Hope that multiple opponent combat goes all right.))

Darones Rei - PC
The combined effort of T´Sal and Darones had managed to force to Sith to rethink its strategy and focus on his defences. He still posed a significant treat however, as even at a disadvantage his barrage still breached most of Darones´ defence. The Sith´s defences on the other hand, were still to good and T´Sal and Darones couldn´t decide the fight in their favour.
Realizing this, T´Sal made the choice to rescue the Sheller from his predicament, leaving the Sith as is for the moment. Darones subsequently couldn´t follow through with his offensive, as he needed the help from T´Sal to gain the extra edge.
As the Sith back off, so did Darones, making sure not to fall in to the gap the warrior made in the floor with his Lightsaber. Darones tumbled backwards out of the way from the Sith´s attacks and in doing so he grabbed the second lightsaber on his belt. Now wielding 2 sabers he felt it was considerably easier to defend against the Sith´s continuing assault and he regained his footing, blocking the strikes of the Sith a bit earlier and managing much better on deflecting his attacks.
((OOC: note: the dualwield doesn't change any of my defensive stats. this is the reason why i felt this DCA could work.))

Leaving the enemy saber-fighter unchecked for a moment, T'sal raced for the Mandalorian warriors to save the Sheller. Just as they take aim to blast his head off of his torso, the Hiocan Jedi lands behind them and with a slice of her saber, she cut straight through the closest one, severing his torso from his legs at the hip.
Mandalorian armour was resistant to blaster fire, but the lightsaber cared very little for the presence or absence of the armour and made short work of the man.
The second warrior just barely managed to avoid T'sals follow up strike by giving up on the idea of killing the Sheller, but it was very clear he too would soon fall to T'sals strikes - the Hiocan Jedi was simply way too capable for someone like him. Hoping to get away, he activated his jet-pack, but likely it would not be in time for him to get away from her.
((OOC: T'sal

Darones and his opponent made some distance as both recovered their imbalances, and though neither had the ability to keep the other off balance, it was clear the sword wielding Mandalorian held the advantage, especially with T'sal busy elsewhere.
Using the existing cuts in the floor to his advantage, the warrior moved forward towards Darones and with each step dragged is blade over the floor, creating a dangerous pattern of instabilities and holes, various pieces of metal dropping down into the depths below them.

With the Mandalorian troopers taken care off and the Sheller safe, T'Sal rejoined the fight against Sith, providing Darones with sufficient room to try and regain the upper hand.
The Sith weakened the platform and created further instabilities to the old elevator with which he was hoping to gain an advantage. He however failed to consider that this also put him at greater risk, as both Darones and T'Sal forced him back into the corner he had already weakened.
Making use of his dual sabers, Darones used the thread generated by T'Sal to focus the brunt of his assault on the floor directly below the Sith, further weakening the supports. Darones hoped that it would be enough to not only jeopardize the stability of the platform, but also threaten the positioning of the Sith and limiting his room, possibly even causing a collapse which would cause the Sith to take a plunge into the depths below.
After his manoeuvre Darones put his second saber back on his belt and continued the fight wielding one saber once more. He didn't need the extra safety of the second saber any more. With the T'Sal rejoining the fight, the added punch of the single wield would be worth more.

((OOC: It appears I've been making an error in the attack of the enemy warrior. I checked, it hasn't had a significant impact and I'll list it correctly from now on, apologies for the confusion.
T'sal
Taking out the Mandalorian takes up T'sals attack this turn so I'm not using her attack in the fight against the lightsaber wielding warrior. She can however take her offensive advantage action, since that is separate from attacking, and she's back in the combat with the warrior.
Flanking is a proper offensive advantage action and your explanation to use reasoning in the check seems reasonable to me. However, you already have an advantage action from flanking, specifically a defensive one. For this reason I have to deny the action denied
As a special condition however, I will allow you to swap your defensive advantage for an offensive advantage (effectively changing the way you use your flanking advantage). This would cause you to lose your current defensive advantage but gain the offensive advantage you wanted to claim this round. Please let me know your choice in your next post.
Darones
Targeting the primary structure of the platform seems a fair offensive advantage action and though the rules don't allow two people to hold the same advantage action, I think there's a difference between the enemy's attempt to open holes in the floor to use as traps when his opponent back-paddles and your attempt to have part of the platform collapse in its entirety. For this reason I'll allow it. Mechanical engineer makes sense for that, and your action is approved
Your offense should be with the defence of the previous round. This means your attack is listed incorrectly as being a single short blade, while it should be dual short blades. It does not make a major impact regardless.
Finally, the enemy warrior has beaten you on two rings, so you are brought off balance.))
T'sal made short work of the other Mandalorian, the lightsaber slicing him down as if his armour was not even there. Manoeuvring along the various holes in the platform, she made her way to the enemy warrior, ready to attack!
As the platform groaned and scraped, clearly not liking the way it was being handled as the enemy warrior charged hard towards Darones, slamming down his saber as if it were a sledgehammer rather than a sword. Darones managed to deflect the strikes, but didn't expect the kick into his stumach that the warrior brought forth next, knocking the air out of him and causing him to go off balance.
The warrior continued to press the attack, forcing Darones away from T'sal and her aid and towards the various holes. The entire platform was shaking at its joints from the damage the two warriors were causing to it so far and parts of the floor were being ripped out as support beams that had come loose caught onto the side of the shaft, tearing part of the platform off with it.
Soon there was precious little little space for the three warriors to battle one another on!
The Sheller meanwhile screamed for his mother and held on to the control panel for dear life.

T'sal is back in position behind the Sith, but this time she is going on the offensive instead of defensive. She wants to finish this combat as the platform is losing its stability and Darones is in trouble.
T'sal has investigated the attack pattern of the Sith. With her mechanical insight she studies the current situation of platform and its weaknesses. And now is the time to combine these two. T'sal closes in on her enemy with quick combinations of kicks and slashes of her lightsaber. She uses her intuition for making split-second decision based on the information she has gathered. T'sal does not give the Sith enough time to block and he has to evades her attacks and move forward. T'sal drives him into unstable areas and towards the edge.

Darones Rei - PC
Failing to anticipate the kick by the Sith, Darones was once more pressured heavily in to the defensive and his own actions hadn't exactly helped the situation either. Instead of catching the Sith off guard and plummeting through one of the holes, the integrity of the entire platform had been jeopardized. Their space to move had been considerably lessened and the Sith was still at large.
With most of his defence being surpassed due to the sheer force of the assault, Darones barely held his own but as of yet the Sith hadn't been able break through all. It would prove to be difficult but Darones still believed they could at least hold out and make a clean getaway.
With T'Sal rejoining and going on the offensive to force the Sith back, Darones had gotten himself a little time to think before he acted. With a considerable area of the elevator unstable, the Sith being rather heavy or at least heavier then him and with T'Sal packing a punch forcing the Sith back to those unstable, dangerous area's Darones took the fight to another level.
Instead of trusting his offensive capabilities with the saber he placed his trust in his skill and the force. After veering off yet another series of strikes by the Sith, Darones timed his action with the attacks done by T'Sal. Just as she came in from behind, Darones started running, picking up more and more speed as he clung to the wall rather then the elevator itself.
Just as he was about to come full circle, he launched himself off the wall coming at the Sith at full speed, hoping that he picked up enough speed so that the force of his attack would cause the Sith to lose his balance and fall backwards as Darones slammed into him, in to one of the holes T'Sal had forced him towards.

The enemy warrior once again defeats you on two rings, so at this point you remain off balance and just barely not out even.
I can totally see Darones running around the shaft so the action itself is allowed. The fact is, Darones is off balance and losing and despite both of your actions, the opponent actually is the party currently holding the bigger advantage, having Darones on the verge of being taken out.
Because the enemy is bigger than Darones, and has an additional advantage here. Combined, I feel that a high difficulty is in order. Though 13 is also high, I do not think it is enough to knock the warrior prone, let alone into a hole. For this reason I am forced to rule your audacious attack to be failed))
T'sal's fierce attacks forced the enemy to back off a bit, even causing him to go off balance in the direction of an unstable area, precariously standing on a support beam. Darones made a fervent attempt to knock the warrior off that beam and into the depths below, but the Mandalorian warrior jumped up and over both of them, landing on a more stable piece behind them as Darones landed safely on the beam where the warrior had been mere moments ago.
Meanwhile, above them lights became visible as the platform headed for the top. They could probably use a force jump to get out of the shaft and race for the ship ((OOC: check required)). If they did though, they'd have to leave the Sheller behind. Alternatively, they could fight one more round and then retreat and take the Sheller with them. Either case they'd have to run fast to get out of here as both Jedi were quite sure that the two Mandalorian fliers would have called in reinforcements before they engaged them.

Darones and the Sith both needed some time to recover and regain their footing, Darones noticed the lights of the surface, they were almost there.
"Go see what's up there," Darones shouted at T'Sal, "I'll keep him busy down here. Just make sure the way is clear."
He then circled towards the Sheller, picking him off the console and moving towards the edge of the platform, where T'Sal had already jumped up.
" You'd better get ready to run," he said, "we need to go as soon as we reach the top. Don't worry to much about rifle fire, I'll take care of that."
And with that he took out his second lightsaber again and switched back to a comfortable dual wield. He anticipated that the Mandalorians would be waiting, with their rifles ready; the second saber would help convince the Sheller that he would be save and Darones could use it to shield them from both rifle fire as well as a renewed attack from the Sith.

T'Sal - PC
T'sal assault has once again put the Sith off-balance and now they were in the same situation. T'sal needed Darones full help to overcome him, but the Sith has put him off-balance and is now recovering behind Darones. T'sal thinks about what to do. They are now almost there. As getting out alive is more important they just have to hold on. T'sal looks to the Sheller and then to Darones. Her companion has already made up his mind and tells her to go take a look upstairs.
This would indeed be a good idea and although Darones is much more athletic and good jumper, he has also the best defense to hold of the Sith. T'sal takes a good look at the floor to find a stable running path towards the wall. With her Telekinesis she put some parts better in place. She makes a good estimation of the height and goes full speed towards the wall. (If the distance is quite high, T'sal puts away her light saber to grab the ledge.) T'sal jumps up the shaft and checks their way out.
((Check: 11 = 5 Force Level + 4 Energy + 1 Mechanical Engineer + 1 Telekinesis -- To find/create a good running path.))
((Check: 9 = 5 Force Level + 3 Fitness + 1 Force Jump -- Jumping up towards the exit.))

((OOC: Darones
Your new avatar is approved. Also, the Direct Combat Action :P
Due to your excellent defensive work, you are no longer off balance!
T'sal
Normally you are not allowed to take two actions in a single round. However, you very correctly use the exception for the case when you are not attacking in combat, as specified on the Combat Actions page. This allows you to take two actions, but one must be a non-combat action. Both are so you easily meet the qualifications.
You are bending bars and shifting plates and such to create a proper running path. I can see why you want Mechanical Engineer, but in this case it does not apply - you aren't building something you're basically moving stepping stones which doesn't require any engineering, merely moving objects. Telekinesis applies however and allows you to use Energy, so your total result would be 10. This is enough so your move is approved.
Then you make a run for it and jump up. A check if 9 is enough, so this is approved, if only barely. I'm making a small auto at the post because I think T'sal is smart enough not to let herself be killed by blaster fire when it can be prevented. You'll forgive me for it I'm sure ^_^))
Darones continued his defence against the enemy warrior and readied for the run, managing to regain his footing somewhat. So did his opponent however, who seemed very much inclined to not let the Jedi - and the Sheller - escape.
T'sal meanwhile put her lightsaber away and made a run and jumped up, just barely reaching the edge of the shaft and climbing up to face a dozen Mandalorians waiting for them, weapons aimed at her as they opened fire almost immediately.
Not about to let herself be shot, T'sal Force Jumped from her hanging position, grabbing her lightsaber mid jump to deflect the incoming fire and landing safely on her feet. She could see the path out of here - a stack of metal crates should provide ample cover, and from there it was just a corridor away. They'd have to fly out in a hurry, but escape looked a lot better right now than it had when that warrior dropped in from above.
Below her, the platform began to slow down, finally reaching the top well after T'sal had established their escape route. Darones was already waiting with the Sheller.
All that remained now was one simple act to complete their escape...
... run.
((OOC: You have successfully made it to the top of the platform, and since T'sal already had a chance to orient herself, your escape route is clear. Go get to your ship and escape ^_^))
