Jedi Counciler Gri'pan is looking for two padawans to investigate a disappearance of a investigator.

((OOC: This will be a fairly short mission and on mission success there is one skill point to be earned. Posting speed of 1 post a week.))

((OOC: Boy that was fast, well lets go right away then))

The two padawans entered into Jedi Counciler Gri'pans quarters. Shebi Ajava saw the garden from last time and saw that some more plants were now in bloom. It was a calming sight. Nevertheless Gri'pan seemed to be in quite the distress. The jedi master was looking at a news feed that was telling a story about missing people on the borders of union territory. Gri'pan turned down the sound and noticed the two padawans enter and motioned them to sit down at her desk.

"Welcome young ones. Padawan Shebi Ajava, certainly a pleasure to see you again. And padawan Ariana I heard. It is good of you two to respond so quickly to the call."

"You seem to distressed, master. I take it you worry about the missing people? This seems to be the second disappearance in a short time, another group of padawan has already been dispatched to investigate the disappearance of a group of force sensitives."

"Where do you need us to go?"

"Interesting indeed. It sounds like it is time to act and show them that these worlds are under our protection...

Is there anything we should know about this investigator?"

Gri' pan nods and turns on a small projector. A map of the Galaxy spawns up with a couple of marked area's around the Union.

"Indeed it is time to act. These marked area's are where the latest missing reports came from that where reported to the law enforcement. Now it is not an unusual high number of reports but I have a feeling they are more connected lately. And it seems force sensitive people are the target at most of these cases. As you might of heard from the news an entire colony of people have disappeared who were force sensitive. I have worked with this group before so hearing of this I send my own Jedi investigator Murrah to take a look. But It seems I have not heard of her for a while now"

Clearly sad, Gri' pan takes a deep breath and brings up the next projection. It shows a planet and quickly zooms in to a village on that planet.

"This is the village of Vestah, and the last know location of the missing colony. they travel around a lot so their villages are not that big so they can break it down easily to move. But it seems the village now still stands with them gone. I send Murrah here and it is here I would like you two to go to as well. Your main priority in this case is to find Murrah and find out what happened to her. If you happen to find out anything about the fate of the village is secondary. I' ll upload any information i have about Murrah to you so you can recognize her along with the location of Vestah."

The projection goes down and Gri'pan starts the exchange of information with the two padawans.

"pack accordingly and I wish you the best of luck, if there are any questions so far?"

((OOC: FYI : The information about Murrah in this case are pictures and physical information (height, weight etc) in such a fashion that it is enough to be able to know her when you meet/find her. If you want this on paper let me know then i could write it out :)))

"Thank you master. We will leave as soon as possible."

Shebi Ajava bowed to the Jedi counselor, and left.

"I'll check the records for what kind of planet Vestah is on, so we now what to pack. Once I know, I'll forward the information to you as well. See you in two hours in the hangar."

She then went to check the type of planet they could expect, and whether there were any weird things such as the system's sun having highly disruptive ourbursts or other things one needs to know before travelling there.

((OOC: As long as you don't expect us to recognize her (IC) by ourselves (OOC), we don't need a written down description. I'll post my equipment list in the next post, when I know what kind of planet we're going to.))

"I will drop by the hangar and make sure our ship will be ready on time."

Ariana bowed and left after Shebi Ajava.

Ariana looked for the quartermaster and reserved a small ship. "We would like to depart in two hours." After this she went to her quarters to gather her equipment.

((OOC: Waiting for location to post my equipment list.))

Accessing information : Vestah
The village of Vestah is the registered location of a group of force sensitive nomads called "The Frojens". It is located on planet Dromar VI in sector [ 6 -6 ] . It’s a desert world with high temperatures by day and freezing by night.

This village is located near an oasis who are a rare sight on the planet. The strong mountain range around the village provides a large shade over the village most of the time, making sure the temperatures are pleasurable inside the village.

((OOC: I hope this provides enough information on the conditions. let me know when you two are ready to go.))

Getting the information from the library, Ajava was slightly annoyed that she was forced to use one of the old terminals, instead of one of the newer models that actually allowed her to get a quick overview. However, this terminal did its job equally well, and she got the gist of the planet's conditions. She sent the short blurb to Ariana as well, making sure to note the temperature ranges and the lack of water.

She went to her quarters to collect some of her personal equipment, and paid a visit to quartermaster Nishra to get the rest. Knowing Nishra's distaste of written lists, she told the quartermaster about the equipment she wanted to take with her. With the large temperature differences she decided to go for a full-fledged environment suit: the Onyx Series 5. She opted for a basic model with only a few upgrades: carbon nano-fiber plating, helmless visor with dynamic range adjustment and dimmer/amplifier optics, and the infra-red visor upgrade.

She also informed quartermaster Nishra that she and Ariana would be going to Dromar VI, and that they didn't know yet how long they were going to stay. So she asked the quartermaster to send two weeks worth of rations, water and supplies to the ship.

An hour and three quarters later, she was at the hangar, patiently waiting for Ariana. She did not yet wear her environment suit, she could change during the flight.

((OOC: List of equipment:
  • Her blue lightsaber (waterproofed by Darones)
  • Her composite recurve bow
  • A wireless communicator headset
  • A backpack with some gear: a waterbag, rations for a few days, emergency radio, flares and a GPS device to couple to the ship later on so they would know where the were with respect to their vessel
  • An Onyx Series 5 environment suit, customized with Carbon nano-fiber plating, Visor with dynamic range adjustment, allows vision in very dark/bright environments and Infra-red vision.

((OOC: This message in it's own post so it will collapse later on.

By the way, what is the meaning of the green colour? Is the information terminal that low-level? Usually communications go through holonet-like things, so we use holo for them, maybe surrounded by a doc= (quote or pm this post to see how I used them in the example below):

Since by now most people on the boards immediately recognize the holo colour as 'comes from a machine', we usually stick to high-level information and interfacing with computers, and use green as low-level computer interface. You make the green one with [hax] (which is hidden at the moment, but the BBCode still works)

Note, that this is mostly curiosity, as I'd like to know whether you meant anything special with it ^_^))

((OOC: Well indeed the color of a computer screen so to speak. But these are just left over derps from not thinking about something general like the holonet in which indeed the blue color is more appropriate. I imagined it as you would be looking at the information from a datapad that generally everybody has or has easy access too. The post has been updated))

The two padawans were ready to venture towards their destination and TOR-4284 , Gri'pan helper droid , greeted them. In contrast of what the two padawans have heard the droid was rather quiet. Not focussing to much on that they quickly left the hanger towards Dromar VI. After a good while the planet could be seen from the ship.

As the two came nearer it was like a strange coldness was radiating from the planet. As they landed they were dropped off near another ship. It could be identified as the ship Murrah used to get here. Looking around they could see the village down the hill in the shade of a mountain as was described to them. Standing in the direct sun as they were they could indeed feel the strong heat.

One might not suspect it, but it is rather quiet around them. Wildlife can hardly be heard and besides the heat of the sun it just felt cold for some appeared reason.

After having landed Ajava changed into her environment suit. Thinking that Ariana was flying the ship, Ajava walked into the cockpit to find the praetorian. However, instead of finding Ariana, she found the little droid playing with the controls.

"What are you doing here?", she asked the droid, not really expecting an answer. "Get out, and don't touch the controls. Those aren't for droids to muck with." with that, she left the cockpit again, expecting the droid to follow her orders.

Then she went to find Ariana. Ajava reasoned that if she wasn't in the cockpit, she was probably already waiting outside after landing the ship.

"Hey Ariana. Just so you know, that little droid was mucking with the controls. I think it snuck in after you left. I ordered it to leave the controls alone. Since you flew us here, I'll fly on the way back later on. I'll make sure to check the settings before we set off."

She looked at the other ship, "Let's start with checking the other ship. I'll start with checking for external damage and such, could you have a look at the on-board systems?"

((Check: 10 = 6 Force Level + 4 Vision -- checking the ships externals for damage or markings))

((OOC: There, worked around it by having Ajava assume that Ariana was flying.
EDIT: Forgot check.))

"I did not ask him in the cockpit. If it tries to play with us we can always leave it behind on this planet.

I will run a diagnostic program on the system and check for log files."

Ariana went inside the other ship and went to the cockpit. In the cockpit she ran a system diagnostic on the ship while searching for log files that could give them more information about what happened here.

The two padawans went to check on the ship and its conditions after they send TOR-4284 away. The driod wondered what the fuss was about but decided not to bother and stand watch at the ships working on his own various duty's till the padawans had need of him again.

Shebi Ajava took a look around the ship for external marks. It was a small personal ship that had a few worn out marks of long service, but nothing that would suggest that anything out of the ordinary happened to it or its pilot.

Ariana Danacia climbed on board and checked the systems. All programs and diagnostics checks out as well so it does not seem that anything happened to that either. A couple of log files could be found of various dates. the most recent one dating about a week back.

Ariana returns to Ajava.

"I could not find much on the ship. It does not seem disturbed. The last log I could find is about a week old, which means that Murrah probably went to the village and left her ship here."

Ariana gathers her equipment and prepares to head to the village.

"Let's fly to the village."

"A week... The ship doesn't seem to be damaged or malfunctioning from the outside either. It is very likely that the ship hasn't even been visited during that week, or she was her but didn't actually use the ship."

Shebi Ajava looked at the village.

"Let's walk there. If Murrah landed here, it stands to reason that she walked to the village. We might get a better idea of what happened if we follow in her footsteps."

If Ariana joins her, Ajava starts walking towards the village, being on the lookout for anything out of the ordinary.

The two pondered about the last log entry but decided not to check it further and head straight to the village in Murrah's footsteps.
As Shebi Ajava makes his way towards the village through the rocky pathway down the mountain he finds it hard to notice anything out of the ordinary. Then again sand and stone are not easiest to spot marks on. Besides seeing some traces of people walking around there there is nothing to be seen.

Ariana takes a different approach and goes through the air. without any shelter she can not stay airborne too long but gets a good view of the village. As stated it was a simple village existing mostly of large tents. It did seem to have about 2 or 3 wooden structures. It's clear that people were here not too long ago since it shows signs of life here and there. Hanged clothing out to dry or gardens who are still quite green , showing that not too long ago people have tended to them. But strangely enough no signs of actually people can be picked up anywhere.

As the two get closer and closer. a feeling of dread starts to grow
