"My fellow Senators,
It is my pride an honour to welcome the first minor world to join the Union, the Limëan Republic. As a minor world, they will have a full vote in the Senate.
Studying their people in preparation for their membership, I have become very impressed by their way of thinking and I look forward to hearing their views on the various issues the Union faces.
Please join me in welcoming the Limëan Republic!"

Thank you, chancellor, for your heart-warming welcome! We are of course honored by your vote of confidence, and by our admission to your admirable system.
But, I do not only believe that our allowance to vote is beneficent to us, but that it is even mutual salutary, for we bring great knowledge and order. I think that there is a lot to learn for others and that we can help the Union to make it a better and more peaceful place.
The Limëan Republic is of course not only a teacher, but as well an eager disciple. We hope that we can get new ideas and methods to enrich our own world. We have to admit that we were more introvert the last couple of years, but we had a lot of great matters to discuss. In addition is our method of debate not very efficiënt. But let this reticence not set an example for our social interactivity, but rather look at this event of joining the splendid Union as a proof of our greed to learn.
I hope that with these words, we have set the beginning for mutual understanding and joyous interactions!

"Senator Jothe Sias, fellow Senators, Chancellor,
The Veolian Commonwealth would like to extend a warm welcome to the peoples of the Limëan Republic.
We are most interested in what the Limëan people have achieved so far, and hope to see future collaboration on projects of mutual interest.
Again, welcome to the Union."
((OOC: Might I suggest a rename of the 'jothesias' and 'falczepu' forum accounts to 'Jothe Sias' and 'Falc Zepu'? This will make for a better name on all posts, and enable the forum-wiki autolink for character profiles.
Unfortunately the forum does not support display names; but you can use spaces in your user names.))

" Senator Joste Sias, Chancellor, Fellow Senators,
On behalf of the Sundarian Federation I gladly extend the hand of welcome and friendship to the Limëan Republic.
We are most interested to learn more about their culture and history and we hope to work together on projects of mutual benefit and interest. "

I thank you all for your kind words.
It has to be pointed out, however, that my name is not Joste but Jothe Sias. Minister Sias will also do, but I have to press on the importance of right forms and methods of naming.
I can see though that this was just a simple mistake, and therefore I can condone the error. I will thank you in advance for the use of my true name.
((OOC: To Brend: I have made new accounts for Jothe Sias and Falc Zepu, the old accounts can be deleted if it's necessary.))

" An honest mistake indeed, Senator, " Senator de Montréve replied as she heard her mistake corrected, " But no less embarrassing and I do apologize for any grievance I may have caused."
