I hereby inform you that the Union opens a public tender for the acquisition of 2083 for improvements to the Bozzy Spine.

The Union places some constraints on bids. All bids must be within competitive price ranges. The acquired hyperspace nodes should be delivered through fleets capable of delivering on any sector of the Bozzy Spine within Union territory. The acquired hyperspace nodes should all be delivered before 180. The last constraint is flexible, with some preference being given to bids with high rates of delivery.

The Union gives preference to, in no particular order, cooperative bids, bids with high rates of delivery, and less expensive bids.

This public tender will remain open until 2014-08-30."

The Sundarian senator, de Lady de Montrève waited a while to let the tender settle within the Senate before standing up to address the Senate.

"Fellow senators,

With the Sundarian Federation currently as the only supplier of within the Union, I feel a bit uneasy responding to this tender. While the project's use of is ultimately beneficial to us all, I can imagine several members of this assembly might view this as less then desirable, because I also hold the position of Minister of Commerce.

Through our partnership with the Praetorian Empire we are able to provide 140 / , which means that once started we would need 15 to complete the order.

While we realise that, given that we are currently the only supplier, we could ask for a higher price; we are willing to accept 4.5 / , which will be divided evenly between the Praetorian Empire and the Sundarian Federation.
