"Fellow Senators,

After getting to know my ministry and making sure that I'm up to speed with all current proceedings, I feel that it is time to kick off my duties as Minister of Defence.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those that have contributed in any way to deal with the Mandalorian Invasion, be it through military contribution, financial aid or otherwise. In my opinion we have proved the strength of cooperation and managed to protect our member worlds and interests.

Unfortunately war, just like any armed conflict, is never without serious loss of life and damage to property. Be it to people's home's, crops and lands, or our members military and other assets, we will need to rebuild. The same holds true for the fleets of the Union Military, for which I now ask your cooperation. In a few weeks, once the initial repairs have been completed, I'll open a new public tender to acquire 200 which will also be needed for repair on our more damaged Union fleets. For now however, our intend is to start the repairs on 4 fleets.

In order to repair them we require access to facilities found in fleet zones, were we will need to dock our fleets for several turns while our engineers make sure the repairs are under way. ((OOC: As per Union Rules)) I therefore ask any willing member worlds to make fleet zones available to us, so that I may start assigning fleets to be repaired.

I realise that having a Union fleet present in one's system for several turns, and the additional influx of soldiers and personal that comes with it, might be cause for trouble or local unrest with the member worlds residents. In order to compensate for any losses incurred and any inconvenience caused, I am willing compensate member worlds who are willing to contribute in this matter with a sum of 25 / / stationed fleet to be paid from the ministerial budget.

"The Veolian Commonwealth is willing to host two of the four Union fleets.

As a member of the Union, we do not think that offering the Union soldiers some well-deserved rest and recreation should be compensated by the Union. We do not feel that the influx of soldiers and personnel will cause trouble or unrest, and we prefer not to accept the offered 25 per , instead we wish to offer the use of our shipyards and docks for free."

"The Teprogrenaian Consensus is willing to host a Union fleet. Sadly we are limited with the capacity to host only 1 fleet, otherwise we would gladly host more.

We of the Consensus are thankful that the Union fleets have protected the Union so well, thus we don't feel the need for financial compensation in this matter, the fleets have done their duty, the Consensus does theirs.

We also like to announce that the Consensus is once again willing to produce the required , and we are waiting eagerly for the official public tender."

"The Hiocan Society is currently constructing our first fleet. Therefore our docks are available for one Union fleet to make repairs. We agree with the Veolian commonwealth and Teprogrenaian Consensus on the matter of compensation. We would gladly welcome the Union soldiers. We think this could be a good opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences."

"The Praetorian Empire is willing and capable of hosting for up to two Union fleets. We agree that it is time to start these repairs. Compensation is not required."

Peinaili said after several members had offered to make their facilities available to the Union fleets.

"The UDF Corpi 1 and UDF Unity will be directed to the Veolian Commonwealth for repairs. The UDF AUX 2 will be directed to the Hiocan Society. The UDF RIG 1 will be directed towards the Teprogrenaian Consensus and finally the UDF AUX 1 will be directed to the Praetorian Empire."
