Dear senators,

We have been hit by a grave recession the likes we have not seen as a union. As ministry of commerce I have cooperated with the ministry of finance to bring you the unions stimulus response.

In order to alleviate the stress that recovering economies will face we are injecting about 15 000 (:tax) into the economy. This will amount to a payout to each union member equal to 20% of the tax needed to get their economies back on track.

This subsidy, equal to 20% of a members stimulus package costs, can be claimed starting now. We feel that such a fast response is necessary for the quick recovery of the union economy and so we have forgone a motion of input on this action. This tax will be given freely to members. It is recommended that they spend it on a stimulus package effecting their own economies. If this is already completed then it is our recommendation that the sum be loaned to other union members to increase the speed of their recovery.

This distribution will most fairly distribute money as it is needed, as this should speed everyone up equally on their road to recovery.

Yours sincerely,
Senator Atheos

Dear senotors,

We would like to thank the ministers of commerce and finance for all their work and effort for making possible this stimulus subsidy.
The war already has quite some impact and this recession has us strangled. We need to help each other to get out and this is a good first step.

Yours sincerly,

Senator Harek

Aeka was in her private quarters when the holomail arrived. As she read it, she smiled a little. She was especially amused by the fact that the larger worlds were alloted a larger benefit.

She did not understand why this was sent through holomail, and not announced in the senate, as is traditional. She would ask minister Atheos why this was so, when she would meet him at the next cabinet meeting.

She wrote a short response, making sure to including Serrah's idea for short-term loans.

Dear senators,

I write to you as the senator of the Veolian Commonwealth, not as the mininster of foreign affairs.

As some of you might have noticed, the Veolian commonwealth has recovered form the recession already. We wish to help others do so as well. To do this, we have offered to assist smaller worlds with short-terms loans.

Yours sincerely,
Senator Nehket Aeka
