The senate went dark as the Union State Secrets Act went into effect.

"Fellow Senators,

As you might be aware now an overwhelming amount of fleets from the Mandalorians is headed our way. Since they have already sent as many fleets as the Union military owns we will require more military fleets in the near future.

We can not sent all of our fleets to the front line, we still need to have defense for the rest of the Union.

Under Article 5 of the Alliance declaration I ask for for your support in this matter. Since we are under the immediate threat of an attack by the Mandalorians I ask for your factions to help defend the Union and activate your military fleets to do so.

The ministry of defense is willing to aid those factions that are willing to activate their fleets to help defend the Union, within reason of course. The Ministry of Finance has already pledged extra funding to make this possible.

Please come forward if your faction is willing to support in the defense of the Union."

"We would like to know what use the ministry of defence has in mind for our fleets. If there is no coordinated effort, backed by an actual strategy, we see little benefit in this."

" On behalf of the Kingdoms of Komès and Meritonia we are willing to offer the Minister the use of our full military capability in defence of the Union and her members. Both governments have decided to increase the readiness of their fleets and a committee, headed by myself, has been appointed to oversee our shared interests in this matter. This means I currently can offer the minister a complement of 4, combat ready, fleets in order to deal with the Mandalorian aggression.

We do however request some more intelligence on the current strategum and we would like to see a plan of action so that our fleets aren't simply wasted."

Admiral Alexander Giambastiani will be in charge of coordinating the defence efforts as our Supreme Commander of the corewards battle theatre. Please appoint a liaison that can coordinate intelligence and assets with him.

"The Confederacy of Excaria has in the past called for expanding the Unions military and the current status of the Union military is a result of the wishes of the Union members.

As such, we cannot currently provide our fleets for the front lines of the war. However, Excaria will gladly contribute its fleets to patrol the border with the Hutt Families, so that Union fleets currently stationed there can be redeployed."

However, I understand that you might be reluctant to send your fleets to the front, after all, it isn't your homeworld that is under direct threat. How many fleets are you willing to commit to patrolling the border?"

"The Confederacy of Exacia will not have its forces pay the price for the unwillingness of other members to invest in solid defences.

In agreement with the Holy Heimgolian Theocracy, we can however commit three fleets to patrolling the borders. We believe in this we are doing our part."
