"Fellow senators,

In the past electorial period we have worked together to bring stability and cooperation to the Union, and we have succeeded on both parts. As promised, my cabinet and I also continued the work started by former chancellor Bolv'ar to improve the security of the Union.

I feel that I have done what I set out to do, and now it is time for someone else to step up and provide direction and stability. Next to that, my world is undergoing sudden change, and this will require me to direct my attention to maintaining our foreign relations.

I hereby officially announce that I will not be running for Chancellor this period. It has been an honour to serve as your chancellor during this period, and I look forward to serving as senator once again."
