I have a few questions about the turn report template:
1) What is the meaning of the * behind the Tax and trade Income and the zone development lines?
2) What is the format of large numbers (i.e. what is the thousands seperator, if any -- can I keep on writing '2 453' for two thousand four hunderd and fifty-three, or do I need to mark the thousands like '2.453' or '2,453')?
3) Why do we need to list the production of special goods, and not of other things?
4) Should notes be made above, or below the template?
5) Which format should be used on the __ indicating planets, zones, fleets or upkeep sources?
6) Wouldn't it be more useful to put the turn report template on a wiki page instead of in a post that will sink down on the forum board eventually?

1) The * is an artifact of an older version that should be removed (now)
2) Please use either , or . or no marker (so 21.000, 21000 and 21,000 are all good). We have no non-integer tax so confusion will be minimal. Please do not use a space, as this will screw up the parser
3) The word 'production' is unfortunate (i'm open to better suggestions) - it is meant to list how many special goods you have to spend and this number is already generated by the tax tool. I want to know this number to see if it matches the tax tool and to make sure the total amount of special goods spent matches the number produced.
4) Notes are parsed manually. Either above or below is fine, just please not in the middle of it
5) Planet name, Zone number, Fleet number or name depending on what you use and upkeep source can be general (for example an entry for upkeep of holonet relays. This number won't change often so if it is different from last week, I can easily track any changes.
6) I plan to include the template in every turn post, together with turn instructions so people can copy it from there. I am not opposed to a Wiki page in addition.

3) How about 'special goods acquired'?

I like 'acquired'. Putting it that way on next turns template (so as not to cause confusion this turn). Thank you!

7) How should we note tax transfers to other factions? Should this be done by a trade, or should this be noted as expense/income on the respective tax reports? (e.g. the Veolian Commonwealth would like to send 95
to the Praetorian Empire)
(Currently writing tax report, will edit it when answer is known.)

7) The tax and trade income includes all incoming and outgoing tax trading. In the case where 95
is sent from the Veolian Commonwealth to the Praetorian Empire, the Tax and Trade income value for the Veolian Commonwealth would be 95 lower than one might expect from the tax production and the Praetorian Empire value would be 95 higher.
Please include the trade of tax in your trade route entry on the wiki however - as far as I can tell, the tax tool will then automatically take care of it, and there should thus be no discrepancy between the result from the tax tool and the number on your turn report.

I included the transfered tax in a trade route for now, but this is just a temporary measure in my opinion. One does not send taxes to a system but to a faction, so this might have to be revised at some later point in time.
