I was thinking about jedi leveling and characters getting older and the passing of turn in the tax system and elections.
The speed the Jedi timeline is very slow compared to the tax systems where years have past.
The first Jedi missions are about half way through and the next Union Chancelor has already been chosen.
I do not mind, but this migth make the interaction between jedi and economic and politics hard.
What do you think?
More leveling for Jedi to keep up? or redefining timelines?

A clarification might be in order at the very least.
Election periods are actually 20 weeks, not years - unlike in real life, where elections are held much less frequently, the Union is fast moving, but not -that- fast. Thus, time is not moving as fast as it might seem. Comparing to the Jedi rp... debates take a long time and conferences even longer (my fault) ^_^'.
The reality is that it is nearly impossible to make a working timeline using independent forum based roleplay where some players are faster than others and some things take ages while others go very quickly, even if the IC effort involved is just the reverse.
As such I will admit that I "wing" it a bit. I generally use real life as an indicator, but accept that things on forums sometimes take much longer than they would otherwise. So far, besides some confusion I do not think it is a real problem. Just keep real life time as a guideline and let things flow how they may. However, if someone has a suggestion, I am very open to idea's that will help ease this!

I'm interested in how or where you picked up the notion that turns are years. If this is something that is unclear from the wiki we must fix that, it is of reasonable importance that we fix this so new players have an idea of what timescale we play on.
@stuiter: Could you elaborate on how or where you got this idea from? (No judgement is involved -- if you thought it reasonable because the wiki doesn't mention it, please say so)
I got the noticion from real life refferance that summits takes months and election every few years.
Also from the takes system that 1 week is collection is about 1 month or so.
I is not really stated anywhere, so I think I got the wrong idea.
