I just noticed that it not mentioned on the wiki to whom the technology transfer cost has to be paid.

Does it go into the game cost blackhole or is it paid to a world?

It is actually the technology acquisition cost, the transfer cost is kind of a misnomer.

This cost is payed by the receiver of the technology and it ends up in the black hole of the game just like any other project you do.

@Chriz: Welll. It is actually a transfer cost. You only have to pay it when the technology is transferred. not when you acquire it (for example through research). It might be a misnomer, but what you propose is not descriptive either.

It seems there is more confusion surrounding the technology transfer cost. Stuiter had not noted this on her turn report, but placed it in her bookkeeping page (she told me, after I asked if she started it yet).

I will read through the technology page and clatify things where needed this weekend!

I'm also open to a better name for the concept, if someone knows a good term.
