Common Goals

Is there any planning on the 'serious' political events?

As far as I see the current situation is (maybe due to other time demands on people) a bit stagnated. I feel this is especially important with the new influx of players: The Union isn't here just to tax you, it's here because there are big factions out there, with giant fleets and evil overlords that want to take our nice planets and make slaves of our proud peoples -- at the moment I feel that we are nearly alone.

While we do have the Core Hegemony, the Slave Rebellion and the Hutt Families we do not know what their territories are (we know some things of course, they aren't on the map). I think that having a common goal (or common enemy) would allow some focus in the Union and I am hopeful this will provide a sense of direction and duty.

To clarify, this post is not meant as criticism on the pace of things (relaxed playing is nice). It's an inquiry about the state of affairs on the story-front, since that is the difference between an economic simulation and a role-playing game.

At this time I am finishing up the terraformation rules. Those were in high demand.

Meanwhile, the story about the event with the Hutt Families and the Slave Rebellion is (very slowly) developing.

Next up is another political story event, while I work on the rules for Jedi.
