The Meta rules state that:
Shouldn't we also note that we use the Short scale?
From wikipedia:
Though it is true that the the United Kingdom now uses the short scale, I do think that if we make explicit the assumption of using the International System of Units, we should also make the scale used explicit. This will hopefully prevent confusion, and it least allows us to point to somewhere when confusion does come up.
Or... we could just use the Prefixes: short scale billion is giga-

- Due to the nature of the source material the going language will be English (UK)
- The S.I. system of units is used to indicate relevant measurements

Seconded. Milliard is a strange word in english. Billiard is perfectly acceptable, except that its a game with balls.
