I would like to know your opinion on a slight styling change I'd like to propose: a little better (and the same page without any change).
It's just an idea, but in my opinion it helps make the site seem a little less like a black hole.

I like the idea, though I would suggest some slight alterations:
* Perhaps lower the star content a bit so it is more in line with the density of the outer area's of the main top background image.
* Maybe improve the flow from the top graphic to the background elsewhere - it currently looks like a very hard barrier
* Perhaps leave the background of actual posts black, so they stand out a bit more? Not sure what that'd look like.

Indeed; there is still some minor tweaking to be done. But the overall idea is to remove the black void factor of the current site. I've already seen another rather serious bug: the top-right corner is devoid of gradient with the grainy background.
And I have tested it with a less high concentration of stars; that doesn't work as well. The few stars draw to much attention, while this noise 'blanks away' while you're reading.

How does it work out with a black background for the posts?

That solves the problem slightly, but large posts become a black void again that way.
And it doesn't work like that on the wiki. Maybe we should make the effect even more subtle, it's mainly intended to break the black slab...
