I'm currently trying to move the search fields into the menu bar. This is hindered by the fact that phpbb and dokuwiki have completely different ideas about how a search form should work.
At the moment it seems technically unfeasible to implement a site-global search, so I'll settle for the next best thing: a search box that will search either the whole wiki or the whole forum (depending on which you are currently viewing).
Expect the site to be a little wonky while I'm fixing things.

I have yet to find a good place to put the search boxes in the interface.
For now I've put the wiki search-box at the bottom of the page, which (completely by accident) seems to give it the best styling as well.
The forum search is completely confusing: I know the forum offers global search, but the current template tries it's best to hide all useful search functionality. The current forum template only offers searches in the current forum if a forum is viewed, or searches in the current thread if a thread is viewed.
So I'm giving up on a nicely integrated search feature for now.
