Gmail PM issue

This is a reminder that the people who use gmail email addresses do not get email notifications of new PM messages. You said this had to do with the DNS settings where fwurg isn't really expected to send emails and they are always marked as spam.
As a first attempt to resolve this issue, I have just applied the correct Sender Policy Framework rules to the
I have sent out a PM to Fedor and Gerben (both use gmail I think) to confirm whether this clears up some problems. If not, I will try again in 24 hours, after the DNS records have expired.
13:06: Unfortunately, even though I have full administrator privileges, phpBB does not allowed me to change the domain the forum claims to send emails for (which is currently set to fwurg.xs4all.nl), so I will see about getting myself some more privileges.

Test messages have not been received by Fedor and Gerben. I will retry today.
This issue proves more difficult to diagnose than I hoped.
Unfortunately, I am not capable of determining why exactly these emails do not arrive at gmail. The only additional solution would be to setup up DKIM signatures and to rework the method used by the forum to send out emails.
Since this is time- and effort-intensive, I am postponing this.

Alright, well I worked around it by changing my email to a hotmail and forwarding that to gmail, then having a filter in gmail that says to explicitely not delete messages from fwurg.

I got the same problem with password reset requests. I forgot mine on vancation and couldn't log in :(
