The following questions with regard to the Mark Rule Pages issue.
1) How do people envision this? I'm currently deciding between:
Example A: A bar just below the menu (above all the content and above the 'you are here' & 'Logout' line).
Example B: A clear note of the page's status before the main header, but after the 'you are here' line. Both options can probabaly be done automatically, so this is mainly an issue of style. One of my flatmates said he immediately ignored this notice because it resembled a advertisement.
2) What namespaces are 'rules'? Of course the rules namespace itself, but should the future 'guides' namespace be included as well? And what about the other namespaces (such as 'tech', 'dev' and 'user')?
The following is a list of all namespaces, including my assesment of their designation:
The rules warning as as can be seen in the examples. The 'tech' warning is mostly the same, but with different text (and maybe a different color.

- dev: 'tech' warning
- ic
- playground
- rules: rules warning
- tech: 'tech' warning
- template: 'tech' warning
- user
- wiki: 'tech' warning'

i agree that Example B is way too big and looks like an ad. I like example A i guess. Just put the text of example B in example A on the same line. Use different colors for different namespaces and your done?

I prefer example A as well. B is a bit extreme imho, but A isn't obtrusive. Gold is better than magenta too for this, so for the tech colour we should check to make sure we don't pick the wrong colour.
Perhaps the Guides namespace could use the same colour as the rules namespace, but with another text? Cause the guides aren't the rules, I think.

I have implemented this on the actual site.
There are two classifiers defined at the moment: the rules notice, and the template warning. You can view them in the rules namespace and the template namespace.
Please advice on the 'in your face factor' of both classifiers. Personally I think they are a bit much -- but that might just be me.

I've changed the 'rules' classifier to have a less invasive colour. I think it's still a bit much, but it is way less attention-grabbing now.
