As far as I could determine, this forum should send an email notification if you receive a PM.

Since I have set up all my character's accounts with an actual working and valid email addresses, I would like to know why this feature has been disabled. It would help me a lot to keep track of the different inboxes of my characters.

I do not believe the email feature has been disabled, but I have not configured an email service on Ecco (the machine running this site). This is more likely to be the cause.

Maybe this could be looked into at some point in time? I think that others will agree with me that having email-notifications of new PMs will make it easier to stay on top of things.

It's something that might persuade me to create separate accounts for my characters.

I have no problem with enabling email stuff, I'll see what I can do about it this weekend.

This issue has been resolved. You can now receive email notifications! (Its on by default I think?)

It appears that the notification emails are sent without a 'sender'.

I'm not sure whether this is the spam scanner at the utwente screwing with the mail, or if the phpBB3 configuration is not yet filled in completely? Maybe admin could check the ACP and see if there are some settings that can be filled in somewhere in there to make the mails have a sender address.

Without a valid sender address the mails are going straight to my junk folder due to them having a rather high spam probability score.

EDIT: More investigation, more information: I'm now very sure that this is not the utwente spam scanner, as mails that are not routed through utwente mail servers do not have a From address. I'm also reasonably sure that the Admin Control Panel contains settings for mails sent by the forum. Please fix this as soon as humanly possible ^_^
