While I really like the influx of new players and hope every new player will enjoy the game as much as I do, I do have some hints to given about the use of the wiki. I recently saw two pages appear that irked me a little: ic:unknown and Sith Lord Aten.

So instead of ranting about them, I hope to give some constructive advice to new (and old) players:

• Please to consider the naming of things in the ic: namespace, as each name can only be used once. Please try to avoid names that are just normal words like 'unknown', even if the content of the page is about some unknown fact. In this case a better name would be Unknown Species, which leaves room for others to use it as well, and clearly describes that it's about a species.
  
• I also advice everyone to create character datablocks for characters that are actually active in the political field. As far as I can determine, the Sith Lord (who is part of a rather awesome faction background by the way ) is dead. So please do not create a data block for it so it doesn't show up in the character index. Please do keep the page there, and fill it with some information -- keep up the good background work.
  
• As a last piece of advice: Try to name your pages roughly the same as the title of the page. This is not mandatory, but it will safe us all a lot of annoyance with pages that don't link up. (So use 'ic:Sith Lord Aten' instead of 'ic:atensithlord' for example.) An exception can be made for characters with a prominent title, such as Senator. These titles are best left out of the page name, but are good to put in the title (i.e. 'ic:Nehket Aeka' instead of 'ic:Senator Nehket Aeka').
  
• Some extra information on images can be found on the wiki on image standards. If you try to keep images within 300x300 pixels, most pages will look better.

I've added most of this advice to the Use of the Wiki section of the introduction page. If anyone can read it over and make it more friendly, please do so

One extra piece of advice:

• Please, please, please do not use the {{:ic:image.png|}} notation in Image_img fields in a data block. It will screw up the display of the image in all templates that are used. Just use ic:image.png. I know the image selector of the wiki adds the {{ and the |}} for you, but please remove those.

Hello,

Firstly, i didn't know about the image brackets thing, so i will fix this asap.

Secondly, the "unknown" namespace was me being in a funny mood, however I wasn't planning on doing that with any other words, so if it really annoys people, I will remove it.

Thirdly, thanks for pointing out the inconsistancy in the page title of Sith Lord Aten, I had not noticed.

And finally, thanks for the compliment about the background.

No need to fix the brackets, already done I also fixed the unknown. I didn't fix Sith Lord Aten namespace though. And yes, great work on the background!
