Glitch in Character Builder page

Hey,

I just created a new character (I think). I noticed that if you create a Jedi character, the bullets for Force Heal do not show when you add them. They are however listen in the syntax page that appears after clicking the "Create Character" button. Perhaps this can be fixed with an update?

Also, going back to fix it did not work, so my character (Denari Merelle) may have 4 force powers while only 3 are allowed for starting players. I guess I need to wait for the character to be checked before I can correct it?

Grtz,
Pixie

I don't see your character on the wiki. Are you sure that you saved it?

To be honest the character creation is (kinda) outdated and needs some work.

Could you post the description and stats you want for your character here? We can check it here.

Don't worry about actually creating the character on the wiki yet, we can help you with that.

((Moderator: Changed author of post to Pixie to facilitate deletion of Denari Merelle account for redo of character creation))
(I'm using the IC account just to illustrate).
The character does show up under my IC character accounts, and apparently I can use it to post comments, but that's about it.
I did not click "save" after inspecting the syntax so perhaps the wiki creation crashed there?
If I can delete the account I can redo the stats myself, but this is about what I was thinking about:

Denari Merelle, 20year old, female Theelin jedi.
Force level 4 dots.
For attributes: Fittness 4 dots, Vision 5 dots, Intuition 4 dots, the others standard 3 dots.
For force powers: Befriend animal, Force vision and Telepathy, 1 dot each.
For skills: 1 dot each for: Contortionist, explosives, pod racer, stealth, tracking&navigation and wilderness survival.
For combat styles: Shii-Cho and Ataru (no special moves as I'm a new player)
For the saber: Dual Lightsabers, short blade + dagger, curved handles, both yellow.

I'm not quite done with the description yet, but I'm thinking something along these lines:
Denari has a helpful albeit reckless and stubborn character. She can be rather carefree and a selective listener. Until recently, this manifested itself in putting just enough efforts into some parts of her studies to stay out of trouble, spending more time on whatever did catch her interest (like explosives, pod racing and sneaking around, trying to avoid and hide from people who wanted to make her focus on tasks that she found tedious and/or boring-such as meditation to increase her force level). However, a while ago this changed after an encounter with Master Leithor. This has incited an urge to take all parts of her studies more seriously so she might one day beat him at agility and stealth.

This is about as much as I have on the moment, I'm still working on where she comes from and how she ended up at the jedi temple.
I'd be nice to hear if things are alright so far and if anyone has tips or suggestions I'd love to hear them :)

I have used my moderator powers to remove de Denari Merelle account so you can retry the character creation.

I think the problem was indeed no hitting the "Save" button... The tool is a tad old and a little brittle. I suggest you retry the character creation and we then look to approved and advise.

Just one quick note when looking at her character. Is she allowed to have +3 starting skills, as determined in the rule change last year, or is this already included?

Thanks for the heads up. According to the Jedi Creation page (under Jedi rules, http://www.fwurg.net/dokuwiki/rules:jedi_creation) a new player starts knowing 9 skills, but the Building a Jedi guide says 6 (http://www.fwurg.net/dokuwiki/guides:je ... der#skills). As the former one has been modified most recently I've added the 3 levels (plus 1 for stealth due to the racial benefits ;))

Good catch! I updated the guide...

(To be honest, most guides are rather outdated I'm afraid. In case of doubt, the Rules pages always overrule any other source.)
