Dear Mister Guidicianni,
In order to secure sufficient tradecapacity and the addition of a second scanning fleet, the Sundarian Federation wishes to purchase some 500
over a period of 5
(starting possibly at
84). It has come to my attention that the Astai Republic currently has vacancies in their queue, and we feel that such an arrangement would be more beneficial to your faction then if we were to purchase them for the Praetorian Empire.
Would you be able to accommodate in our need?
With kind regards,
Thomas J.G. Pendra

Dear Mister Pendra,
Of course we are able to accommodate your needs and we hope to your satisfaction.
Our current schedule has production filled up till
87 with a suitable gap opening up right after that, we hope this is soon enough for your plans.
If it is we could start delivery in
88 at your desired rate of 100
per
, at a price of 500
per 100
.
Yours sincerely,
Al Guidicianni

Mister Guidicianni,
A Delivery starting from
88 should fit our plans nicely, we will them simply delay them a bit. As for the suggested price, we have no objections and will commence payment in that same turn.
Happy to do business with you,
Thomas J.G. Pendra

Almost immediately after Senator Konev raised questions to the Praetorian Empire in the senate, concerning their change in production from
to
, Thomas recieved instruction to contact the Astai Republic, while the Senator and the Sundarian Council deliberated on a course of action.
Mister Guidicianni,
I'm sorry to call upon you once more on such an untimely hour, but given the most recent developments with the Praetorian Empire's production availability I would like to, on behalf of my Government, inquire after 2 things.
Firstly on the posibility of an option of purchase for yet another 500 to 1000
in addition to our current order. While it is not yet clear whether we would need such an increase, my Government has deemed it wise to inquire after the possibility and involved terms, in order to forsee in our future need. I would like to know whether such an option would be possible and under which conditions and which possible consequences this might entail for the costs of our total order.
If this option is possible my Government would like to make the arrangements as soon as possible and then decide whether or not to continue with this increase in
90.
Secondly my Government has taken a direct interest in the current actions by the Praetorian Empire involving the matter of
production, which we feel is not the wised move, and might potentially be harmfull to the Union. We would like to know your Governments position in this matter, so that we may reach a consensus on how to adress and resolve this matter.
Yours sincerely,
Thomas J.G. Pendra

Dear Mister Pendra,
Do not worry, we are always open for business especially such important business.
To the first possibility, of course this is possible. We even still have space available directly after your current order, currently ending in turn 93. Note that his includes a delivery of a 100
for the organics trade, making the total amount of ships delivered 600
.
Such an order would put your total order count at over 1000
so we could offer you our great discount rate and sell any further ships at a rate of 450
per 100
.
Delivery could take place sequentially, at a rate of 100
/
after your current order (or a gap in between them), or we could start to deliver at a higher rate of 200
/
. Whatever has your preference.
As to the second matter, we cannot deny the economic benefits it has to the Astai Republic that the Praetorian Empire is moving from
to
however we find it disappointing that it seems the Praetorian empire bypassed the Teprogrenaian Consensus and the United Republic of Darya in this matter and we feel this could have been handled better. We also worry about potential over saturation of the
market, though we have no reliable long term prognosis on this matter.

Al Guidicianni

Mister Guidicianni,
Thank you for your timely response.
Since I sent my original inquiry, the Sundarian Council has already reached a decision on the matter. So instead of the option, we will now place a definite order for an additional delivery of 1000
(resulting in a total of 1600
) .
We would prefer the delivery to continue, to follow up on our earlier order and the compensation for our Organics Deliveries, at a rate of 200
/
. Should this raise any financial problems you will be informed so that amendments can be made to suit the availability of funds.
As I currently understand it, this would place the total cost of entire order at 15 x 450
= 6750
, which we find to be a reasonable price. Could you confirm that this is indeed the price you now propose?
Concerning the second matter, the Sundarian Council understands the clear financial benefits for the Astai Republic. As far as our current analysis goes a saturation of either market,
or
, is unlikely. Moreover, this change in production by the Praetorian Empire could provide the Astai Republic with a larger share of the market, potentially making further investments in an increased production economically viable.
While we understand the motives of the Praetorian Empire in this matter, it is the opinion of the Council that the Praetorian Empire may have underestimated the impact on their public image. Since we are not directly involved however, the council has seen no need to voice her concerns, as we trust that the Unified Republic of Darya and the Teprogrenian Concensus are perfectly capable of handling this matter themselves.
Your sincerely,
Thomas J.G. Pendra

Dear Mister Pendra,
We can confirm the price of the entire order to be 6750
. Which can be paid at the same rate as the
or decoupled from the deliveries and paid over a longer time.
We will start delivery in
88, but now at a rate of 200
/
for 8
ending the delivery in turn 95 with a total of 1600
delivered.
Yours sincerely,
Al Guidicianni

Mister Guidicianni,
I'm afraid that a delivery of 200
/
starting in
88 will not be possible financially unless we come to a different arrangement concerning the payment. We would prefer to maintain the original order (88-92 at 100
/
) first, followed by the delivery of the 100
Organics compensation (
93) and then ending with the additional delivery of 1000
at a rate of 200
/
in
95-99.
I'm sorry for not expressing myself better and hope that this doesn't lead to any inconvenience on your part. We would be willing to discuss terms for a separate payment scheme if that suits your production and sale opportunities better.
Yours sincerely,
Thomas J.G Pendra
