I am painfully aware of our previous relations, and can honestly tell you that not everyone in the commonwealth was of single mind with regard to the regrettable actions of a single noble house.

As you already know, the current laws do not allow a Minor World to take up the responsibilities of a Core World. I am of the opinion that all all factions within the Union should be able to reach their fullest potential, up to and including a position in cabinet.

As only Core Worlds can propose new laws, or amendments to current laws, this leaves the Minor Worlds in a difficult position. A lot of Inner worlds pay careful attention to their economies, and care less for those that do no contribute taxes to the Union. This makes it difficult for the Unified Empire of Azaryan Colonies to pressure them into action on this topic.

The Veolian Commonwealth, being a Core World, is willing to sponsor a change in the laws, allowing Minor Worlds to take up the responsibilities of a running a Ministry. Unfortunately, this requires us to overcome significant hurdles, as the current cabinet will not be unanimously positive on this matter.

Because of this, we propose the following: In exchange for our efforts on proposing said law, we would see your vote in the upcoming chancellor election go to a candidate of our choosing.

I would understand your reluctance to trust us in this matter, but I ask you to think it over, as the position of Minister is one of great responsibility and influence -- something that could help you, and your Empress, to convince your people of that joining the Union was the right thing to do.

First and foremost my apologies for the lack of a response to your request. As you may already be aware of, my immediate presence on Nest was required at the time, so I haven't been able to respond until now. We will fully support the current chancellor in his work to keep the Union free from harmful influences and looks forward to the positive changes this change of leadership will bring.

The UEAC also thanks thanks the Veoilian Commonwealth for their trust in us and the display of allegiance in the past few weeks. I hope that our future joint efforts will be as fruitful.
