There was no three-dimensional hologram, merely a two-dimensional display of a human with blue eyes speaking, their face hidden behind a veil. The voice had been altered to be made impossible to recognise and the details in the image transmission had noise deliberately inserted with it to make it impossible to identify the individual.

Normally a transmission of this nature might be ignored, but this one came not just from within Echani territory, but it carried official codes that had been in use before the Times of Chaos by several member worlds, several of which were uncracked, meaning this was a genuine transmission from the Echani government. Since there had been no diplomatic contact between the Echani and the Union for a very long time, this was likely the only way the Echani had to allow authentication and safe transmission of their message in any form.

"We will send an envoy of one diplomatic vessel to the Kortranc system in Sector 8 -8. Please meet us there with one diplomatic vessel of your own."

With that, the message ended - there was no return frequency.
