Should I be elected in the coming elections, I will be in need of a Minister of Foreign Affairs and a Minister of Defence. As Chancellor, I have always tried to help the new worlds integrate into the Union as much as possible. In your case, the time has now come to bring this process to completion.

I am looking at our new members, that is, the four of you, to advise me on how I should fill these positions. If you could inform me of any candidates who qualify for the position, I would be most grateful for your help and would give great weight to your advise."

After some internal debate on this issue we came up with and advice. We are willing to support your candidacy with four votes.

We wish to advice you to assign the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs to senator Ardios Eldrilith of the Praetorian Empire, and the position of Minister of Defence to senator Nehket Aeka of the Veolian Commonwealth.

We also ask that you publicly announce a campaign promise to work towards greater cooperation between the Jedi and the Union. Not only will this help to obtain those few needed votes, it also allows us to increase the security of the Union, while keeping the required military growth to a minimum.

"We shall gladly follow your excellent suggestions, provided of course we win the elections.

Regarding your proposal for greater cooperation between the Jedi and the Union, we believe this to be a most acceptable suggestion. We do not believe the Jedi should be granted a position of political power however, so we would have to look at the exact shape of the closer cooperation and the Jedi Council would have to be willing, but we support this cooperation in principle. We envision that the Jedi might be more closely involved with various operations. If this is acceptable to you, I shall make an announcement on this at once."
