As you may already know the religion of the Divine Nova Triage worships stars as goddesses. Because they are a substantial part of Astrian culture, we would prefer to avoid any animosity them and the ACA. If there are no negative consequences from applying this technology, we would be able to use it without worry.

While I completely understand your first concern is your own world and the delay that the war caused because of this, the need for the requested technologies in the Astrian Colonial Authority is growing rapidly. For this reason I have been authorised to offer the Veolian Commonwealth 750 in exchange for the Micro-Singularity Power Extraction technology under the UE-NT-ED Technology License, provided the technology is transferred THIS ((:turn) 301) turn. I am afraid that I cannot accept your offer for the Micro-Singularity Power Extraction. Not only is the UE-NT-ED license not a good fit for a full technology transfer, there is no reason to place a price of this magnitude on a commonplace technology. The Astrian Colonial Authority is one of the factions that sent military support to our settlement in the Adii Nasla system, something we will not soon forget.

We are more than happy to transfer the Micro-Singularity Power Extraction technology with only the stipulation that the technology not be transferred to others. In return we ask a payment of 250 .

A few hours after the message arrived a blank envelope was delivered to the Veolian Senator. After it was cleared by security it was revealed to contain a simple cash-card. An untraceable anonymous way of carrying large amounts of money without having to haul along cash. It could only hold a set amount of money, nothing more. For these reasons it was very popular with criminal organisations and others who engaged in criminal activity.

This specific card held 600 billion credits.

The veolian senator let out a sigh of annoyance at the arrival of the cash card; she had hoped that her minister would have gotten the hint when she stated that she could not accept the offer.

She has no interest in the card, and while 600 billion credits is a large sum, she has little use for it here. Everyone on Mirda expects such under-the-table deals, but in Union politics such things only lead to problems — someone might find out, however slim the chance, and put a spin on the reason for the large cash sum. While that reason would be patently untrue, half the senate would believe it, and the other half would start wondering about other situations that they did not like. She finds that political and personal favours are much more valuable for senators, they are less concrete and tend to attract less attention.

So, she had the card neatly registered in the logs of the veolian embassy. Then she had the contained cash wired as a donation to the Union's war effort directly from the Veolian embassy, with a note on the transfer tating that the donor wished to remain anonymous. This would not be the first time someone wired such a large amount to the Union, even anonymously. And with the cash gone into the Union, there is little to spin.

She makes a mental note to inform minister Doshima of this course of events next time she speaks to him. She also makes sure to make a short note in the message itself here, should this exchange ever become public for some obscure reason.

I hereby provide a quotation for the other technologies, per technology:

Solar Wind Generator Array: I am not in a position to offer your the Solar Wind Generator Array technology directly, as it falls under a legacy license of a pilot project from three years ago. Together with the Sundarian Federation, Astai Republic, Hiocan Society, and Praetorian Empire we developed this technology as a pilot project for establishing a sustainable energy consortium. Unfortunately, the consortium was never formed, and now we are bound under this agreement.

I will bring your request for sale to the consortium partners. The sale price has an upper bound of 625 , and only three-fifth of the consortium needs to be in favour of the sale, so I expect that every partner will want to receive a fair share. I will inform you of the results.

Orbital Gasses Processing: As to the Orbital Gasses Processing, I can offer you a transfer at 1332 under the conditions of the Tax Deductable Technolgical Research Law and a simple equal share licensing scheme. This means that you will buy in to the technology. The current partners are the Veolian Commonwealth and the Astai Republic, each of which is to receive 666 .

Please let me know if you can accept these conditions, and if so, on which you plan to complete payments. We will transfer the technology accordingly.

Orbital Crystals Processing: I can offer you the Orbital Crystals Processing technology at 2000 , without any conditions attached. We would prefer payments in installments of 200 over a period of 10 , and are willing to transfer the technology at the first payment. Bulk payment is acceptable when made in .
