Dear Lady-Senator Dewa Lanadi,

While the Minister of Defence is setting up the command post for fleet coordination, I thought it would be pertinent to request permission to use the hyperspace lane in 10 -5.

The Astrian Colonial Authority wishes to aid the Veolian Commonwealth with defending the Adii Nasla System in 10 -4 against the Slave Rebellion, whether there is a larger incentivised effort by the Union or not. To facilitate this better the Astrian Colonial Navy First Fleet would like to use the Veolian hyperspace lane to travel to 10 -4 along with a supply fleet. Additionally I would also like to request permission to use the lane for a return journey should it be necessary.

The reason it is not certain a return passage is necessary is because if the Slave Rebellion Fleet retreats we may end up pursuing them, which will likely result in a different return journey.

I would also like to point out that with this permission it will be far easier for the Astrian Colonial Navy First Fleet to join up with Veolian fleets and head to the Adii Nasla System as a single group, rather then trickling in one by one. According to our military experts this is more beneficial.

The Veolian Commonwealth hereby grants the Astrian Colonial Authority free use of any and all hyperspace lanes under our control and allow them to enter the territory of the Veolian Commonwealth for the purpose of defending the Union and her members, and for the complete duration of the state of war.
