Our intelligence division has noticed that all your military fleets are changing their readiness status. We would like to inquire if this is an exercise or a reaction to the rumoured negotiations with the Slave Rebellion. If it is the latter we would like to know how we should react in kind, therefor we do need more information about what has happened so far.

The Praetorian Empire will support the Veolian Commonwealth if this is another ploy of the anti slavery movement.

Dear senator Ardios Eldrilith,

This is not an exercise. We have confirmed that the Silver Forests of Remunzia are in negotiations with the Slave Rebellion on the matter of slavery. As we have not yet experienced any activity by the Slave Rebellion that did not include outbursts of violence, we feel that our commonwealth's security will be at risk if we do not prepare ourselves for such an eventuality.

I am glad that we can count on the Praetorian Empire should the situation escalate beyond negotiations. I have called an emergency cabinet meeting on the matter as well, and wish to appoint you as Minister of Defence.

We shall keep in contact regarding this matter, so we can coordinate our actions to the fullest effect.
