Dear lord-senator Kachiso,
In my effort to prepare for upcoming electoral period, I have been investigating several options to improve the economic position of the Union.
As I see it, the Ministry of Justice offers a valuable service to the Union as a whole, but is egregiously oversized for the current level of disputes. Almost all disputes are handled between parties without external arbitration, and the odd case of Union Law interpretation aside, the Ministry of Justice seems to have very little to do.
Strangely enough, for historical reasons the support and maintenance of Unity City and its policing force are placed under the purview of the Ministry of Justice as well. When compared to the weekly budget of 2850

, it seems to me that the Ministry of Justice could do well with some restructuring to free up budget for more relevant matters. Of course, the Union must continue to provide arbitration for disputes, but a complete Ministry dedicated to this purpose seems absurd.
I look forward to hearing your opinion on the matter.
Sincerely yours,
Senator Dewa Lanadi
