I would like to ask you for a favour in the current discussion on finding a compromise on the matter of slavery. I feel that the discussion is going towards a viable compromise, the only thing necessary is to convince the senate that the offer is indeed a proper one.

I know that your world is of the same mind as mine when it comes to matters of birth control and abortion, and ask you to help me out in the current discussion with a reasoned argument against the opposition of the proposal.
