Our current production queue has been filled by a long term agreement with the IO processes. However we are in the process of securing the assets needed to increase our production to match the current market demands. As such our prices have slightly increased as investment need to be made to secure a stable increased production, which is currently at 5.7 / .

We could deliver the requested 300 starting from 91, at a rate of 50 / . We realise that this is not an ideal situation for the Commonwealth and are therefore willing to accept a payment of 520 / per 100 , which would net a payment of 260 / for the period 91-96.

Can the Commonwealth agree to this offer?

I'll be honest with you when I say that it is unlikely that our department can agree to deliver for your proposed price. The current market demands are more then enough reason to warrant a slightly higher price and I believe that the discount to cover the inconvenience for the Commonwealth is most adequate.

However, taking into account that the Commonwealth is an important trading partner for the Federation and good relations are important to us, I will see what I can do to influence parties so that your proposal may yet be acceptable.

Perhaps an alternative method of payment might be an option here as the Economical Oversight committee has expressed a certain interest in technological advancements made by the Commonwealth, specifically in the areas of Mass migration and Micro-singularity Power Extraction. Could such a transfer be part of an arrangement?

Thank you for your patience, and the effort to influence third parties for our benefit.

We have decided that there is another option. We are willing to offer two technologies. But in return, we want not only 300 , we also want to buy a significant share in your Conductive Polymers Corporation. I believe Duke Iaat Vyapar has already extended an offer.

We are willing to transfer the Micro-Singularity Power Extraction and the Mass Migration technologies to your faction, under the condition that you will not transfer these technologies to others. These technologies have a combined value of 3000 , which more than covers the 1560 costs you offered for the 300 . We propose that the rest of the technologies' value is sufficient payment to acquire a significant interest in your corporation, as per option a of the proposal by Duke Iaat Vyapar.

We want all 300 to be delivered before 100, but have no preference with regard to pacing, as long as we can use all delivered relays on upgrading the same holonet relay. So on average a maximum of 100 per .

Dear Miss Serrah,

I do apologize for this belated response, but the Oversight Committee has taken considerably longer to discuss your offer then I had previously anticipated. The main causes of this where you proposed valuation of the technologies which would be granted to us and the details concerning the acquisition of a majority share in the Conductive Polymers Corporation.

Firstly to cover the request of Duke Iaat Vyapar, so that the Veolian Organics industry may be expanded; The committee has decided that it is not her interest to give out a majority share, however they are willing to allow franchise businesses to be set up under the terms of option b of Duke Iaat's proposal. To this end the following contract has been drafted:

Conductive Polymers Corporation Franchise agreement

This agreement covers the rights to set up franchise branches of the Conductive Polymers Corporation to further the expansion of the Veolian Organics Industry.

article 1: The Veolian Commonwealth, represented by Duke Iaat Vyapar as current director of the Dryatech Consortium, shall be permitted to set up any amount of franchise businesses of the Conductive Polymers Corporation, as is needed within the Commonwealth.

article 2: For each zone specialised under this agreement, the Veolian Commonwealth will pay the Sundarian Federation a sum of 150

If this agreement is acceptable for the Veolian Commonwealth, please ensure that we receive a signed copy of the drafted contract.

That leaves us with the original purchase of the 300 requested by the Commonwealth, for which we have asked a price of 1560 in total.

Based on current contracts and agreements, the Committee has valued the Mass migration technology at 333 ( 1/3 of the research costs), furthermore the committee is willing to valuate the Micro-Singularity Power Extraction technology at 1500 , taking into account the longer research duration and the desired restriction not to sell or transfer.

As such the committee proposes the following resolve this:

The Sundarian Federation ensures the delivery of 300 before 100, at a rate that allows for all delivered relays to be used in upgrading the same holonet relay.

As payment the Commonwealth transfers the Micro-Singularity Power Extraction technology, which the Sundarian Federation will not transfer to others.

This would leave out the Mass Migration technology, which we would obtain at a later time.

Your reply with regard to the acquiring of zoning rights of the Conductive Polymers Corporation has been forwarded to Duke Iaat Vyapar. He informed me that it was not his intention to acquire a majority share, so there might be a misunderstanding. I will leave further negotiations about this to him. The emperor has granted him full authority to negotiate on behalf of the Veolian Commonwealth with regards to the zone rights issue.
