Dear Chancellor Aeka,

Union Central News would like to invite you to be interviewed by our top reporter Elrika. She will inquire simple questions regarding the person who currently holds the position of chancellor, so that the people of the Union may get to know you better. Questions will focus primarily on you as a person, rather than politically sensitive topics, but given your occupations may touch on political topics at times.

The interview would be broadcast live, preferably from the Union Central News studio on Union, though other arrangements are possible at your convenience.

With high regards,

Union Central News Editor Brinar

Dear mister Brinar,

My mistress has expressed an interest in the interview. She and prefers the Union Central News studio on Unity, as she has little time for travel.

Please send a list of questions, so I can determine whether any subject should be left out.

Further, I would advice you to read up on Veolian culture. I have not shown this message to my mistress, but if I had I am certain she would not have wished to appear. In the Veolian Commonwealth, the family name goes in front of the given name, and addressing someone only by his or her given name implies a certain level of intimacy. The correct way to adress her would be 'Chancellor Nehket' or 'Chancellor Nehket Aeka'.

With kind regards,
Serrah

Dear Serrah,

Below is a list of the questions we would like to ask.

  • What are the motivation that drove you to become Senator and Chancellor?
  • How come you remain unmarried, despite family pressure? What do you look for in a mate?
  • How do you feel about your house's neutrality on many important decisions within the Veolian Commonwealth being made in the past few years?
  • Could you describe how someone of your years and life expectancy views the day to day affairs in the Union, which seem so important today, yet no longer seem to matter the next day?

Naturally follow-up questions may result from the answers to these questions to further explore the above topics.

It is excellent to hear the Chancellor will attend. We shall have our people coordinate with your security people to make the necessary arrangements.

With high regards,

Union Central News Editor Brinar
