The Military rules have been put into effect! (I have not yet defined templates and data models for the new concepts such as Military Fleets and Armies. These will be created by me on demand -- if you need one, ask me.)
Please post retroactive fixes (as per meta) in this thread.

I want to revamp my 2 races, both because the new rules, and because I decided I picked wrong characteristics for my economy.
Teprogrenus Danar:
Teprogrenus Fecta:
For my jedi: I want to swap a point from strength to reason, and spend the militaristic point in strength.
I want put the metals oriented skill point in mechanical engineer, and swap that point to medicine.
To clarify: no stats actually changes, only the spend points are swapped around to prevent breaking the rules

I would like to retroactively change my species and jedi in accordance with the meta rules. I have displayed the old species for convenience.
Hemet Veolians (old):
The hemet veolians' concept was that of an über-species, to this end a had introduced two placeholders to be replaced at a later time. With this plethora of new racial characteristics focussed on physical dominance, I would like to increase the 'über' factor of my species.
Therefore, I wish to retroactively execute the following changes:
Hemet Veolians (new):
This has some impact on my Jedi, Shebi Ajava, so I propose the following changes:
The 'extraordinarily tough body' was already mentioned in the wiki fluff, and regenerative abilties is to give it a bit more flavour without going into actual statistics.
If acknowledged, I will execute these changes next week, so I won't have to make a new turn report.
Hemet Veolians (old):
- High Fecundity
- Force Sensitive
- Information Oriented (placeholder)
- Rare Elements Oriented (placeholder)

Therefore, I wish to retroactively execute the following changes:
- Remove Captured Moon on Kelwar.
- Kelwar-An becomes a Medium Moon; this frees up 2
to be converted into 2
to become 0.2
Hemet Veolians - Add Augmented Species special to Hemet Veolians (extra racial characteristic); which will result in an extra racial characteristic slot.
Hemet Veolians (new):
- High Fecundity
- Force Sensitive
- Combat Ability
- Coordinated
- Militaristic
This has some impact on my Jedi, Shebi Ajava, so I propose the following changes:
- Remove a +1 from Stealth due to loss of Information Oriented
- Replace the +1 in Military command with the bonus +1 from Coordinated
- Replace the lost +1 in Lightsaber Construction (lost with Rare Element Coordinated) with the old +1 from Military Command (this is just a shift in 'bonus point' to obtain a legal character)
- Increase Fitness with +1 from Militaristic
- Add Water over the Falls as a bonus manoeuvre from Combat Ability
- Gain a natural defence from Combat Ability: extraordinarily tough body and regenerative abilties

It took me a while to check the proposed changes, especially for Brend, but I have reached the following conclusion:
Elmer,
the requested changes are valid and the listed changes for your Jedi are correct, I see no reason not to approve them.
Brend,
On the addition of the 2nd augmented species special to the Hemet Veolians, the subsequent system changes are correct and legal.
The impact on your Jedi, in accordance with the racial characteristic change, is also correct and results in a legal Jedi.

No offense, but I'm going to wait until Mercury said his piece. He has been the arbiter of retroactive changes for some time now; and we have not yet discussed any other options.
Though I do like the second opinion on legality ^_^

After much thought (and discussion with other players), I have tried to remodel the Hemet Veolians.
As already discussed the propensities of the Hemet Veolians are very well moddeled with Combat Ability and Telepathic. However, the more I think about it, the more I actually like the idea of keeping the Information Oriented characteristic. Though Telepathic represents one part of the mental power of the Hemets, I think Information Oriented represents a different kind of mental acumen, and I have evidence with regard to actual technologies developed that the Veolians are a very inquisitive type (for
), and they have displayed a great fondness for attractive things and creativity (for
).
So, at the risk of invoking another discussion, I propose the following:
Hemet Veolians (new):
This has some impact on my Jedi, Shebi Ajava, so I propose the following changes:
I have hope that this doesn't invoke any feelings of unease in anyone -- if it does, we might want to curb the Augmented Species to a single application anyway...
@Mercury: Please vet this soon, I want to post in the lightsaber competition :)

And once more..
suggested changes are legal and correct, for both Race and Jedi, I also have no objection against the multiple use (stack if you will) of the Augmented species special.

You don't exceed your limit of hemet population, and the rest seems fine too to me.
I agree with Gerben & Elmer.
Approved.

Seeing the general consensus from the player base, I don't see a reason to object to this proposal, which is within the rules.
